Chapter 439 âYou know I donât see clients. Weâll talk about it tomorrow if itâs not urgent. Or you can send your assistant...â
âNo, Pheebs. Itâs an important client. I wouldnât trust anyone else. Just do me a favor and help me meet them. What if I give you and Lyla all my time this weekend?â
Olivia smiled helplessly and said, âAlright, Iâm scared of you now. If you use your coquettishness on a man, you wonât still be going on blind dates.â
âYouâre the best, Pheebs. Iâll send you the address later.â
âOkay.â
After hanging up, Olivia glanced at her phone. It was almost time to leave.
She cleared the desk and walked out with her bag.
Shoreside Cafe.
Olivia walked into their usual private room and saw a man in a white suit sitting inside.
âHello, are you Mr. Hemsworth?â
The look in the manâs eyes changed slightly when he saw her, and he nodded. âHello, Ms. Sutherland.â
Olivia ordered a cup of coffee, sat down, and explained. âMs. Sutherland took the day off for some personal matters, so I came instead. Iâm TOâs designer, Phoebe James. I hope you donât mind, Mr. Hemsworth.â
âItâs alright. Itâs an honor to meet the designer.â
âGreat. What specific request do you have, Mr. Hemsworth?â
After that, Olivia opened her notebook to record it.
However, there was no response from the other party after a long time.
âMr. Hemsworth?â
She looked up and met Xavier Hemsworthâs eyes.
The man had a pair of beautiful narrow eyes. With his delicate features, his handsome face looked more affectionate.
It was easy to get entranced when you looked at him.
Xavier pressed his lips together and smiled. His long fingers stirred the coffee in his cup. âMs. James, are you married?â
Olivia froze and shook her head. âMr. Hemsworth, even though Iâm not married, thereâs nothing wrong with my designs. We...â
âI know.â Xavier interrupted as he lowered his head and took a sip of coffee. âI like your designs, Ms. James. Iâm just a little curious about the designer. I hope you donât mind.â
âItâs alright, but thereâs nothing worth being curious about me.â Olivia withdrew her gaze. âWhy donât we talk about what kind of ring you want to customize, Mr. Hemsworth?â
âWhat kind of diamond ring do you like, Ms. James?â
Olivia could not help frowning. She was a little irritated.
âMr. Hemsworth, the ring is for your wife. Thereâs no point asking me.â
âI donât mind making another one for you.â
When Olivia heard this, she could not stand it any longer. She slammed on the table and got up, yelling, â Mr. Hemsworth, I donât think our atelierâs ring suits you. Goodbye.â
She hated unfaithful men.
The man was even more disgusting. He talked about giving her a ring after only a few minutes. How ridiculous!
Realizing it was already 6 PM after checking the time, Olivia drove straight home.
She smelled honey-glazed ribs and instantly felt a lot better.
âLiv, why are you home so early today?â
Wearing an apron, Fred walked out of the kitchen and offered her a glass of orange juice. âDrink some juice first if youâre hungry.
Dinner will be ready soon.â
âIâd like some coffee.â
âCoffee? You canât sleep if you drink coffee so late at night. Juice is healthier. Isnât it, Lyla?â
As soon as he finished speaking, a little girl in a princess dress rushed over and hugged Oliviaâs calves. She spoke in a cute voice, âMommy, have some juice with me.â
Olivia chuckled and rubbed her head. âAlright, Iâll have some juice.â
With that said, she took a swig of orange juice. Then she bent over to pick up Lyla and pinched her chubby face. âHave you been good today?â
