Chapter 398 Her little brother was embarrassed.
Olivia smiled and tapped his hand. âlan, help me adjust the bed up.â
lan obeyed and went over to adjust the bed, asking, âHowâs the height? Is this good?â
âYeah, itâs just right. Thank you.â
Olivia was worried when she saw the bandage on lanâs hand. She frowned and said, âlan, does the wound on your hand affect your writing?â
lan glanced down. âItâs okay. Itâs not very serious. Besides, Iâve finished the joint examination. I have no more examinations.â
âHowâd it go?â
lan lowered his head and said nothing.
âlan, Iâm just asking. After all, youâre taking the senior high entrance examination next year. Iâm afraid...â
Before Olivia could finish, lan suddenly looked up at her with a determined look and said, âDonât worry. Thereâs still half a term left. I can catch up.â
Because of everything that happened to the Larson family and especially Olivia two years ago, lan had a chip on his shoulder.
He even began to indulge himself under Dorothyâs encouragement.
It led to him going overboard on some subjects. He was ridiculously poor in liberal arts.
Although he studied for the joint exam, the result was probably terrible.
Seeing lan having a fighting spirit, Olivia did not want to pursue it. Instead, she smiled. âIâm glad youâve grown up and know you should study hard, lan.â
Embarrassed by the compliment, lan scratched his head and asked, âAre your wounds still hurting?â
âTheyâre alright.â Olivia smiled and said, âlan, hearing you call me Liv, it doesnât hurt anymore. Theyâre all healed.â
âI already said you misheard me!â
Exasperated, lan got up to leave.
Olivia immediately laughed and apologized, âOkay, itâs my fault. I shouldnât have said anything. Iâll wait for you to call me Liv, lan.â
With that said, she winked at him. âIan, that day will come, right?â
lan poured her a glass of water and gave it to her sulkily. âMaybe you will if you donât make more enemies.
It was worrying that she still ruined her body when she already had pneumonia.
She risked her life to protect him the other day...
lan felt a little sorry at the thought.
Olivia took a sip of water and said solemnly, âSpeaking of which, I must warn you that you should be careful of Dorothy in the future. Sheâs not as nice as you think.
âI know itâs a little harsh to say this, but...â
Thinking lan was about to have his senior high entrance examination, Olivia could not speak the truth.
Dorothy was so close to him these two years.
If she exposed Dorothy now, she was afraid lan might not take it well.
She sighed. âAnyway, just be careful and call me if you need anything. You can study for the exam the rest of the time.â
However, to her surprise, lan did not retort but nodded this time. âOkay.â
Olivia froze. Her heart filled with joy, but she said nothing about it.
She had said so much that lan was annoyed.
âBy the way, lan, Kenâs bringing me lunch this afternoon. Eat with me, okay?â
âYeah, okay.â
The room fell silent. After an unknown amount of time, lan suddenly walked up to her and asked, âHave you divorced John?â
âNo, not yet.â
Oliviaâs breathing became disordered at the mention of Johnâs name.
She glanced up at lan and laughed dryly. âWhatâs the matter?â
âI hope you donât get a divorce.â
Oliviaâs smile froze. For a moment, she did not know what to say.
They probably could not get a divorce, but their marriage was in ruins.
Suddenly, lan said, âI know the incident two years ago led to your breakup. I think you were wrong. And youâre ridiculously wrong.
âBut I hope you can get back together.â
