Chapter 393 âJimmy Quinton?â
Olivia froze. âHow could it have anything to do with your dad?â
Zac frowned. âMy dad approached you at the wine party, didnât he?â âYeah.â
âHeâs no gentleman. In his opinion, you stood in the way of his plans.â
There was a chill in Zacâs eyes as he spoke. âHeâll get rid of anything that gets in his way.â
He called to confirm, but he never trusted the man.
That man was the ultimate hypocrite!
Olivia did not have a good impression of Jimmy, but she was shocked to hear Zac describe him this way.
He was Zacâs biological father, after all, so something must have happened to make Zac say that.
However, compared to herself, Olivia thought Zac was more dangerous.
âZac, youâre worrying too much. My injury has nothing to do with your father.â
Olivia paused, bit her lip, and said, âOn the contrary, Iâm more worried about you. Your father seems determined to have you marry the Jameson family.â
Zac sneered. âOf course. In his mind, nothing is more important than profit.â
With that said, as if thinking it would upset Olivia, he whispered again, âDonât worry, he wonât do anything to me Olivia did not want to tell Zac about Dorothy.
After all, she did not want him to get involved anymore.
However, she thought Zac would go after Jimmy if she did not tell him.
Zac would get hurt if the father and son fought.
She did not want him to get hurt.
âZac.â Olivia grabbed Zacâs hand. âDorothy did this, so it has nothing to do with your dad.â
âDorothy?â
Zac was not surprised.
However, the men being rendered dumb concerned him.
Was Dorothy that smart and capable?
Not wanting to worry Olivia, he did not pursue it. Instead, he changed the subject and said, âSoup wonât be enough. What else do you want? Iâll get it for you.â
With that said, he added with a smile, âItâs good for you to have something in your stomach. Ken will bring you a nutritious meal this evening.â
âMeatballs.â
âAlright, Iâll buy some now. Have a good rest and call Wilbur if you need anything. Heâs right at the door.â
With that said, he turned around and walked out.
Olivia opened her mouth, wanting to say she did not need Wilbur. However, she nodded because she was afraid he would overthink. âOkay.â
Zac had just left when she heard Wilburâs voice.
âMr. Freeman, donât give me a hard time.â
Then a cold voice rang.
âGet out of the way! Donât make me do it!â
âMr. Freeman, go ahead if you insist on going in.â
Olivia knew how loyal Wilbur was. Afraid Wilbur would suffer if they fought, she quickly said, âWilbur, let him in.â
âMs. Larson...â
Olivia glanced coldly at John before turning to Wilbur and saying, âYou donât have to fight someone like that. Iâm afraid youâll get your hands dirty.â
Wilbur had no choice but to leave.
John frowned. He was about to lose his temper but became softhearted when he saw Olivia covered in bandages.
She deserved to be angry with him after such a terrible injury.
âWhat are you doing here? Here to see if Iâm dead yet? Or have you come to rub salt into my wounds?â
Johnâs eyes grew darker as his thin lips said, âOlivia, youâre still mean even after this.â
For a moment, Olivia seemed to see sorry in his eyes, which pricked her heart.
However...
He wanted her dead. Why would he feel sorry?
