Chapter 330 Rainie looked at Zac in horror and swallowed. âI-I didnât. You... Thereâs been a misunderstanding.â
âYou didnât? A misunderstanding ?â Zac squinted his eyes, and his voice was cold.â Rainie Jameson, you know what will happen if you lie.â
âZ-Zac, itâs not like what you see. Really...â
âAre you testing my patience? Too bad. Iâm not a patient man.â
Then, a cracking sound came from the car park, followed by Rainieâs scream.
âCan you be honest now?â
Rainieâs body shuddered in fear, and the pain made her break out in a sweat. She lifted her head and looked at Zac in disbelief and fear.
She felt like the man in front of her was not the man she knew.
Zac was always gentle and friendly, unlike John, who was cold and ruthless. However, he looked just like John now.
âItâs...â
Before Rainie could finish her words, a man rushed over with a knife, stabbing it in Zacâs direction.
Zac let go of Rainie and grabbed the knife. His hand was wounded, and blood dripped out of his clenched fist.
As the man who assaulted Zac was in a daze, Zac kicked the man, making him fall to the ground.
He then picked up the knife on the ground as he approached him. âWho sent you?â
The man glanced at Rainie and pointed at her. âItâs her! She paid me. I donât know anything.â
âDonât know?â
Zac did not believe him. He placed the knife on the manâs neck. âWhere were you going to take Liv? Youâd better tell the truth.â
âDonât Zacâs glare scared him, and he quickly confessed. âTo Goldfinch House.â
This Goldfinch House was a club for rich people to have fun in.
The entertainment in that place was dirtier, nastier, and crazier than what they had in Kingâs Club.
Murderous intentions flashed through Zacâs mind, and he slid the knife across the manâs neck.
He then slapped the manâs face with the knife and warned. âTell your boss that this is just a warning. If thereâs a next time, I will not leave anyone alive.â
The man was shocked and nodded.
Rainie noticed the situation was getting out of her control and fled, holding her dislocated arm.
Zac was worried about Olivia, so he did not go after Rainie. Instead, he turned around and carried Olivia upstairs.
When he got out of the elevator, he saw Zyla, who was also sweaty.
She quickly approached. âWhat happened to Sis Liv?â
âGo call Ken.â
âOh, okay.â
Zac was putting Olivia back on the hospital bed when Zyla returned with Ken.
âWhat happened?â
âCheck on Olivia, quickly! She might have been injected with anesthetic,â Then, Zac took out the syringe and a bottle of medicine he found on the ground. âI found this. Check on what this is.â
Ken looked at the name on the bottle and sniffed. Then, he nodded as he said, âItâs alright. Itâs just an ordinary anesthetic. This dose is fine. It will just increase the amount of time sheâll be unconscious for.â
Then, he paused. âThe only problem is that it may increase the probability of her amnesia.â
After all, the longer a person was asleep, the longer their brain would be shut down. However, memory was always miraculous, so Ken could not be sure of anything either.
âWill Sis Liv forget us?â
âWell, not necessarily. We canât know until she wakes up.â
Zyla rubbed her hands, worried She hoped Oliva could forget that jerk, but she wan afraid she would forget her too Zac looked at Olivia, then said, âZyla, look after Olivia. Iâll be back.â
âWhere are you going?â Zyla noticed Zacâs hand was bleeding. âYour hand is bleeding. Take care of the wound first.
âItâs alright.â
He had to deal with this matter immediately
