Chapter 285 Olivia shook her head. âI donât know. Iâm still looking into it.â
âMrs. Freeman, why did you keep this from me? Do you not trust me? I would never do such a thing.â
âI know. So Iâm telling you now.â
âWhose ward is this?â She asked, looking at her surroundings.
Ken opened the door and said, âJohnâs.â
âJohnâs?â
Olivia was startled, and she turned around. She saw John on the bed, looking pale and on drips.
âWhatâs wrong with him?â
âSomething hard hit him on the back, and he was seriously injured. Then, his wound tore apart a few times. So itâll take longer for him to recover.â
John was still alive and energetic the last time he met her, but now, he was so weak. and lying in bed. She felt a little sad.
It made her doubt if she was feeling sorry for him.
On second thought, he did not love her, so she did not need to be so pathetic.
Then, Olivia calmed herself down. âSo? Whatâs the point of bringing me here?â
âMrs. Freeman...â
âHow hard was the impact? Did he do it to save Dorothy?
Ken shook her head. âNo. He was injured earlier than Zyla was.â
Olivia was shocked and scoffed. âEven when he was seriously injured, he could still force me to donate my blood to Dorothy. If he wasnât injured, would he have killed. me?â
Ken frowned. Wes had told him that the misunderstanding between these two ran deep. From what he was witnessing now, it did not seem like it would be something easy to talk out.
âMr. Freeman, John was injured trying to save you.â
âSave me?
Olivia shook her body and doubted as she looked at John. âMe? Are you kidding?â
âDoes he not wish me dead?â
Ken felt sad to see the perfect couple in such a state.
âMrs. Freeman, John...â
Before he could say the word âamnesiaâ, someone dashed in from outside, throwing herself over Johnâs lying body.
âJohnny, how did this happen to you?
âJohnny, why didnât you ask someone to tell me about this...?â
Olivia frowned at the familiar crying. It was Dorothy.
Ken was in the middle of his words. He could not continue as there was now an outsider with them.
He dragged Dorothy away from John and said, âMs. Ellis, this is a private ward. No outsiders are allowed to enter.â
Dorothy shoved off his hand and cried. âIf itâs a private ward, why are you here with Olivia?â
Ken showed Dorothy his doctor ID and said coldly, âIâm a doctor. Mrs. Freeman is the patientâs wife. Who are you?â
âYou!â
Dorothy glared at Ken. Then, she looked at Olivia. âWife? Are you good enough to be his wife? Johnny is injured, yet you seem like you donât care. Youâre not even crying.â
Ken wanted to retort, but Olivia stopped him.
She looked at Dorothy coldly and asked, âDid you dig up my parentsâ graves?â
Dorothy froze for a moment and then shouted angrily, âOlivia, what do Why do you like to accuse me so much?â
you want?
âAccuse?
Olivia could guess that Dorothy was behind it from her reaction.
âWhen have I ever accused you?â
Dorothy glanced at the man on the bed. âDonât think that you can freely accuse me just because Johnny is in a coma? The fact that Iâm free now proves that I never did. what you said!â
âShamelessâ was the only word Olivia could think of to describe Dorothy.
She gritted her teeth and glared at Dorothy, making her step back and lean against Johnâs bed.
âD-donât you dare!â
The man suddenly sat up on his bed and pulled the needle out of his skin. Then, he asked coldly, âDorothy, is it really not you?â
