Chapter 281 âWhat are you doing, Olivia? Are you insane?â
Rainie glared at Olivia as though she was going to eat her alive.
Mrs. Jameson looked at them, puzzled. âWhatâs going on?â
âThis...â Looking at the residual liquid on the floor, Olivia brushed her off by saying,â Mrs. Jameson, you canât drink this.â
Rainie was shocked and retorted. âOlivia, what are you talking about? Itâs just some juice. Why canât my mother drink it?â
âYes, Olivia. Do I even have to stop drinking juices?â Mrs. Jameson was also puzzled.
Olivia was startled. She had been in a hurry to stop this from happening, so she did not have time to think of a reasonable excuse.
âWell, juices are good for your health, but itâs not suitable for you, Mrs. Jameson.â
Olivia made up an excuse and pointed the plastic bag next to them. âI saw Ms. Jameson carrying this in her bag and suddenly recalled that people with an illness like yours shouldnât drink this. So, I acted on instinct just now. Iâm sorry for being rude.â
With that, Olivia turned around and walked away. âIâll leave now.â
However, Rainie stopped her before she could leave.
âStop!â
Rainie grabbed her arm and emphasized each word she said, âOlivia, what are you doing? Just showing up and saying that my mom canât drink this? It seems to me that youâre deliberately causing trouble!â
Olivia did not want to expose Rainieâs plan. After all, she was an outsider, and Mrs. Jameson might not believe her.
âI mean well. If you think Iâm here to cause trouble, then ignore me. After all, you almost killed me before this.â
Then, Olivia shook off Rainieâs hand and said coldly, âWell, Iâll leave now.â
Rainie clenched her fist and stared at Olivia, who was leaving. âThis b*tch has spoilt my plan again!â
She would never forgive Olivia.
Mrs. Jameson had no idea what happened, but she felt like Olivia was acting strange. She asked Rainie, âWhatâs wrong, Rainie?â
Rainie spoke without turning back. âMom, donât move. Iâll call someone to clean this mess up.â
Then, she ran out and dragged Olivia straight to the stairwell.
âWhat do you want, Olivia?â
âLet go!â
Olivia stared at Rainie coldly, thinking about how dumb she was.
âWho the hell else would be so persistent? Itâs so obvious she doesnât want me to think sheâs up to something?â
Rainie would not let go. She ferociously pinned Olivia to the wall and said, âIâm warning you! Donât try to curry favor with my mother!â
âWhy would I want to flatter Mrs. Jameson?â
Olivia scoffed. âDonât worry. Iâm not interested in your mom. But you should be kind to her as her child, so you donât end up regretting it in the future.â
Rainie looked at her warily and asked, âDo you know something?â
Olivia was not silly. She knew it would do herself no good if she was frank with her.
âThatâs a strange question, Ms. Jameson. What should I know?â
âHeh! You wouldnât dare!â
With a sneer, Rainie released Olivia. âDolly is out of prison. Youâd better pay attention to your own business. Donât try to snatch someone elseâs fiance when you canât even keep your husband to yourself.â
âYour mother came to me about the Quinton familyâs intention to break off the engagement between you and Zac. Iâm sorry. I canât do anything about it.â
Then, Olivia opened the door and walked out. âAnyway, if you really like Zac, you would know what he likes and wouldnât do something he hates.â
She did not expect to see Mrs. Jameson waiting for her in Zylaâs room when she returned.
Mrs. Jameson approached her and asked, âOlivia, I know youâre not someone who acts impulsively. Are you hiding something from me?â
