Chapter 249 âItâs you. Get your dirty hands off me!â
Olivia was still lost in thought when she heard a voice of disgust in her ear, and a sudden force pushed her away.
When she stood still and looked over, she saw who had just fallen.
âMrs. Jameson? Are you alright?â
âOh, donât pretend to be kind. If youâre kind, donât be around other peopleâs fiancés!â
Olivia frowned at Mrs. Jamesonâs look of disgust. She was about to explain when she saw a piece of paper on the ground.
Therefore, she bent down to pick it up. âMrs. Jameson, is this yours?â
Mrs. Jameson quickly grabbed the paper and turned away in panic, forgetting about the argument with Olivia.
Olivia glanced at it and saw mid-stage cancer.
âMrs. Jameson.â
Olivia ran after Mrs. Jameson and stopped her. âI think we need to talk it out.â
âI have nothing to say to you!â
âDonât worry.â Oliviaâs eyes fell on Mrs. Jamesonâs lab report. âI wonât tell anyone about it. Iâm not a gossip.â
She knew best how it felt to have cancer, not to mention hers was terminal.
However, Mrs. Jameson did not believe her and dodged. âI donât know what youâre talking about.â
âMrs. Jameson, cancer isnât that scary. Itâs still treatable in the mid-stage. With the Jameson familyâs wealth, it shouldnât be a problem. Donât worry too much about it. Donât keep it a secret. Let your family know.â
Mrs. Jameson froze slightly before sneering. âWhat does it have to do with you? Iâm warning you not to be a smart-ass, or I wonât forgive you!â
Olivia wondered why Mrs. Jameson did not want her family to know. After all, she thought members of the Jameson family were close to each other. At least they were unlike her and John.
However, it was someone elseâs business, and she should not get involved.
âForget it, Mrs. Jameson. I was only trying to comfort you.â
Olivia pressed her lips and looked coldly at Mrs. Jameson. âBut I want to explain to you what you called me.
âIâve never stopped the Jameson family from marrying the Quinton family, and itâs not something I can stop. Besides, Zac and I are just friends. I hope you donât overthink it.
âHa, a homewrecker will never admit to being a homewrecker.â
When Mrs. Jameson still did not believe her, Olivia got annoyed.
She did not like to be treated unjustly, especially not as a homewrecker.
âMrs. Jameson, I donât want to explain anymore. If you insist on thinking that way, youâll be the one to suffer.â
âYou!â
Mrs. Jameson was furious as she pointed at Oliviaâs nose. âYouâre so shameless! If you hadnât cheated two years ago, would your dad have died out of anger?â
Oliviaâs face darkened when she heard this. She said through gritted teeth, âI forbid you from talking nonsense, and donât mention my dad!â
âDo you think no one knows because John got rid of the news? Everyone in Ocean. City knows what kind of woman you are!â
âMrs. Jameson!â
Unable to stand it any longer, Olivia stepped closer to Mrs. Jameson and said coldly,â Iâm telling you for the last time, Iâm innocent. Besides, you only want to profit from the marriage between the Jameson family and the Quinton family. You never ask if the people involved were willing!â
With that said, Olivia turned and walked straight away.
How ridiculous!
I refuse to believe that no oneâs behind all this.
1 Mrs Jameson and I have barely met or crossed paths, and the Larson family and the Jameson family have never had much contact.
Then someone must have passed the idea on to Mrs. Jameson... Rainie?
But if itâs Rainie, Dorothy must have something to do with this!
