Chapter 246 Olivia was stunned to see the familiar face in front of her.
After a moment, she asked in shock, âZy? Why are you here?â
Zyla helped her lie down and helped her prop up the bed before complaining, âHmph, Sis Liv. Iâd like to ask you the same thing.
Why lie to me when you promised you wouldnât leave me?
âYou drugged me with sleeping pills. Sis Liv, why do you have to send me away?â
Olivia tried to argue, but there was a lump in her throat. Her pale lips parted, but nothing came out.
Then she saw Zyla sitting by her bed, and her big eyes blinked. âSis Liv, didnât you ask me why I insisted on staying with you?â
Olivia looked up at Zyla with a complicated look in her eyes.
Zyla chuckled. âYou might laugh at me if I tell you. But I want to tell you anyway.
âI have no parents and am an orphan who has never seen much of the sun for over 20 years of my life. I thought my life would end blandly. But I met you, Sis Liv.â
As she spoke, Zyla held Oliviaâs hand as her eyes twinkled. âSis Liv, youâre my light- the light that brings me out of the darkness.â
Olivia froze as her hands unconsciously held Zylaâs back.
When Olivia did not respond, Zyla gave a slightly sad smile. âMaybe you donât know...â
Before Zyla could finish, Olivia interrupted, âI know, Zy. I know how it feels.â
It was just like how John was Oliviaâs light 17 years ago.
She desperately wanted to hold on to him. Even though John had changed and hurt her countless times, she could not hate him because he was her light.
However...
Oliviaâs eyes watered as she bit her dry lips. âZy, Iâve done so little for you. I...â
âI donât deserve it. I donât deserve a role like your light.â
How could she light Zylaâs way if she was in the dark?
However, Zyla only slowly held her, got close to her ear, and whispered, âSis Liv, you saved me. Now, Iâll save you and be your light, okay?â
Olivia cried as soon as she heard âNow, Iâll save you and be your lightâ.
Olivia thought to herself, âZy is the best Zy in the world. So I will try to protect you and make you happy forever too, Zy.â
However, Olivia learned that maybe it was wrong since the beginning years later.
Suddenly, someone pushed the door open and walked in. Seeing what was going on, he chuckled and said, âZyla, if I didnât know you were here to repay her kindness, I would have thought you had a crush on Liv.â
Zyla let go of Olivia, wiped her tears, and rolled her eyes at Zac.
âMr. Quinton, I like Sis Liv. Do you have a problem with that?â
Olivia wiped her tears dry with a piece of tissue and teased, âZac, itâs so weird to hear that from you.â
Zac raised his eyebrow and smiled. âI was just trying to cheer you up.â
Olivia chuckled. âYouâre being silly.â
After a while, she pretended to be mad and asked, âBut youâre Mr. Quinton of Ocean City, Zac. How did you fail to handle Zy?â
Zac shook his head helplessly and said with a smile, âLiv, you should ask her that. After the plane took off, she woke up and held the pilot at knifepoint, forcing them to fly the plane back. I should have sent some bodyguards.â
