Chapter 229 When Zac and Zyla arrived, Olivia limped out of the dark from the funeral parlor.
âSis Liv!â
Zyla quickly got out of the car and hugged Olivia. When she saw Oliviaâs disheveled hair and the blood at the corner of her lips, she looked worried. âSis Liv, whatâs wrong? Is it that homewrecker Dorothy?â
After being hugged by Zyla, Olivia could bear it no longer. She buried her face into Zylaâs shoulder and cried.
âZy, Uncle Wallaceâs body has turned into ash. Iâm so useless...â
Zyla was startled and patted her back gently as she comforted. âSis Liv, please donât be sad. Uncle Wallace would have forgiven you.â
Olivia cried for a long time. Finally, she lifted her head, looked at Zyla with teary eyes, and said, âZy, Iâm so afraid that Iâll lose you.â
âSis Liv, Zy will always be here with you. Donât be afraid.â
Olivia shook her head and cried. âNo! I want you to go away. Leave Ocean City and never come back!â
âYou want to drive me away again?â
âZy, I want you to stay alive. You know that, right?â
Zyla was startled. She stared at Olivia with her bright eyes and pouted her lips.
âSis Liv, donât drive me away, okay? Let me stay with you and take care of you.â
Olivia did not answer and looked at Zac, who stood not far away from them.
âZac, please help me again, will you?â
He agreed as he looked at Olivia strangely without asking for the details. âSure.â
She could not understand Zacâs gaze, but she still smiled. âThank you.â
Olivia was not in a state suitable to drive, so Zac left Olivia to Zyla and waited for Wilbur to arrive.
Zyla nodded and helped Olivia get into the car.
After watching them leave, Zacâs gaze became gloomy.
âThis Dorothy woman has a death wish!â
Even if John wanted to protect Dorothy, Zac decided he would not let her get away with all of this.
Meanwhile, Zyla and Olivia were in the car..
Olivia leaned against the window. Her face was pale, but her eyes looked firm.
After a long time, she asked hoarsely, âHow did you find me?â
Zyla pursed her lips and said, âSorry, Sis Liv. I installed a tracker on your car.â
It was Zac who installed a tracker on Oliviaâs phone, but Zyla did not tell Olivia the truth because she was afraid Olivia would overthink.
Olivia chuckled. âI donât blame you.â
After a moment of silence, she suddenly asked, âZy, can you tell me honestly why youâre so nice to me?â
Panic flashed through Zyla. She chuckled awkwardly and said, âSis Liv, why are you asking me that?â
âZy, you talk in your sleep, you know?â
âTalking in my sleep?â
She froze and gripped the steering wheel tightly, not knowing how to answer.
âZy, I donât mean anything by it. I just want to tell you that I donât deserve your kindness. Iâm too dangerous to be around. You deserve a better life.â
Zyla knew Olivia did not recognize her from her words. She heaved a sigh of relief.
She did not want to see pity in Oliviaâs eyes, so she would rather Olivia not remember her.
She only wanted to repay her kindness and stay by her side, even if it meant she would die.
âSis Liv, Iâm an adult and have the right to choose how to life my own life, donât I?â
Startied, Olivia turned around and looked at her in surprise. She moved her lips, but she did not know what to say.
Zyla was right. She was an adult and had the right to choose when to stay and when to go.
However, Olivia would not give her a choice.
Dorothy was getting more insane by the day, and she wanted to send Zyla away before anything happened to her.
Thus, she sent Zac a message.
[Zac, Iâm sorry, but I want to ask you for another favor. Please help me send Zyla as away as far as possible.]
[Okay.]
