Chapter 166 Zac looked at her worriedly. âYou must be hungry. Letâs grab you something to eat before you go back.â
Just as he finished his sentence, he thought about Uncle Wallaceâs corpse and immediately realized he might have said the wrong thing. âIf you have an appetite...â
Olivia turned over and forced a smile with tears in her eyes, âSure. Letâs go eat. Iâll be fine.â
Zac was slightly taken aback. âAlright.â
Olivia raised her hand and wiped away her tears. âAre you wondering why I still have an appetite?â
âYeah, Iâm curious.â
âDidnât you tell me that Iâd need to eat more to gain the energy I needed to get revenge? So, I want to eat. I want to survive and get my revenge!â
Zac was excited deep down, and he nodded. âItâs good that you remember. Donât worry too much about Uncle Wallaceâs body. I have instructed my people to secretly send him back. By then, the coroner will submit the evidence.â
Olivia fell into silence for a brief moment before she murmured, âMr. Quinton, can we get Dorothy with this?â
Her voice was extremely soft. It sounded as if she was pushing those words through the gaps of her teeth.
âLiv, you should be mentally prepared for Dorothy to definitely find a new subject to plead guilty for the crime. After all, she isnât the one who got her hands dirty.â
She had been mentally prepared way before this, but it was still painful to hear the truth.
âI know.â
âBut donât worry too much, Liv. This will definitely cause a scene, and along with your motherâs issue, it will definitely create trouble for Dorothy. Thereâs no way that one person can break the law with no slip-ups whatsoever.â
Olivia laughed mockingly. âThen again, Mr. Quinton, despite the numerous slip-ups Dorothy has made, Johnny still trusts her to be an angel, right?â
Hearing these words, in addition to being distressed, made other emotions creep into Zacâs heart.
âLiv, Johnny... Heâll understand. Give him some more time if you still love him.â
Zac was really tempted to tell her to let him go and start over, but he was afraid that she might freak out, so he just went along with it.
No matter how much she disliked him, there would still be love between them. That Zac was clear-headed enough to know.
Olivia sniffed. âMr. Quinton, letâs go get a barbeque dinner, shall we?â
âAlright.â
After they reached the shop, Olivia passed him her motherâs examination report. This is the copy of it, but I feel like itâs too simple. Itâll be hard to open a case file with this.â
âFather loves mother so much. How would he be willing to dig up her body for another round of examination?â
In addition to that, the content of this report would just be the tip of the iceberg. It only examined her hair and some parts of her skin.
After all, there were no obvious wounds on her motherâs body.
Zac skimmed through the report and nodded. âIndeed, itâs way too simple for an autopsy report, and it has been more than ten years. Despite having evidence of the poison, itâs better to have witnesses.â
âWitnesses...â
All of the maids were dismissed after the Larson family went bankrupt, and it would be difficult to find them again now.
Besides, if Ben could work for Dorothy, it was hard to guarantee that the others had not done the same too.
Zac noticed her hesitation. âAre you sure you want to reexamine your motherâs corpse?â
Olivia pursed her lips and kept quiet while digging her fingernails on the wooden table, making some squeaking sounds.
At that moment, her phone rang.
She was shocked and subconsciously backed off a little before she calmed down and looked at her phone.
It was John.
âOlivia, where are you?â
âOutside.â
âWith who?â
âMr. Freeman, are you spying on me?â
