Chapter 109 She lifted her head and looked miserably at the man who used to light up her life. She asked hoarsely. âJohnny, so how do you plan to punish me this time?â
Johnâs heart shook. This woman was too good at pretending to be pitiful to get his sympathy. He had fallen for it so many times.
He could not fall for it again!
He reached out to pull her up. Then, he pressed his cold lips against her ear. âOlivia, since you refuse to change, donât blame me for ruining everything you care about.â
Oliviaâs body shook and looked at him in horror. âWhat are you planning to do? Donât touch lan!â
âItâs too late to beg me now.â
After he said that, John pulled her from the room all the way downstairs. Then, he pushed her into the backseat of the car.
Olivia curled up in the corner. âJohnny, where are you taking me?â
Last time, he took her to the detention center. What about this time? Was he taking her to prison?
John peered at her coldly and did not say anything.
She was terrified, but she did not dare to ask again for fear that she would enrage John and make him harm her brother. Hence, she just bit her lip and looked at him as she trembled. She was longing to see something from his eyes.
However, aside from an evil aura and coldness, she could not see anything else in this man.
Her lungs were spasming, and she clutched her chest with her hand. She frowned and rode through the pain to stop herself from coughing. A metallic taste rose in her throat.
Suddenly, John pulled her next to him. When he saw her pale face, he said with a cold grin, âWhy? Are you scared? Werenât you acting like a bad*ss just now? You even dared to attack Dolly and yell at me. Why arenât you yelling at me now?â
Olivia bit her lips, tears welling in her eyes.
âWhatâs wrong? Are you mute?â
âJohnny, let...â
âOlivia, youâre so fickle. Do you think I can let a seventeen-year relationship go just like this? Are relationships so worthless to you?â
Olivia felt a pang of pain in her heart.
How could this man act so reckless?
A seventeen-year relationship. He could not even remember why it had been seventeen years, so how could he accuse her?
He did not love her anymore, but he had to force her to stay with him...
She snorted. âJohnny, do you know why itâs been seventeen years?â
John was stunned, and he looked at her curiously.
She soon smiled bitterly. âSeventeen years ago, she promised me youâd protect me forever. Iâd be your princess, and youâd be my knight. But Johnny, you forgot. You forgot everything.â
Olivia wailed. As her tears flowed into her mouth, her already-bitter heart became even more bitter.
Suddenly, she laughed. âJohnny, who are you to make requests? I love you, but how do you feel about me?â
âShut up! Olivia, do you really want to go down that road? Youâre the one who cheated on me and betrayed me!â
âYes, Johnny. Youâve always thought that. You wouldnât believe me even if I told you the truth.â
Olivia felt like her behavior was lamentable. She looked at John hopelessly and asked, âHow do you think I fell for a man like that?â
Why would she like a man who could be bribed with money and could make fake evidence for Dorothy with no care for his own life?
There were so many promising and talented young men in Ocean City, and she was the young mistress of the Larson family.
She could have gotten any man she wanted.
Back then, she and John were a match made in heaven in Ocean City.
Everyone would say that they were a golden couple. In Oliviaâs mind, it was because John was the young man he was back then.
Before Olivia could finish reminiscing, she heard a cold and sarcastic voice.
âItâs because youâre morally corrupted.â
A huge wound was immediately gouged in her heart. A cold wind rushed inside, freezing her entire body, and in the end, she could not even force a smile.
