-Marcus p.o.v-
"Babe, I missed you so bad" I kissed Sam's temple while we were cuddling on the couch.
"Marc, thank you for tonight. It was wonderful" she tighten her arms around my torso.
I trailed my lips from her hair slowly to her jaws, when I was about to reach her lips the doorbell rang. I groaned at that but stood up anyway to get the door. It was the room service at the door, I tried not to looked irritated and asked him what did he need.
"Excuse me Sir, I'm here to give you this. A lady was at the Lobby and asked to give this to you"
I looked at something on his hands, it was a tray of Lasagna with a yellow sticky note on its wrapper.
"Thank You" then I closed the door. I put the Lasagna on my kitchen counter still wondering who would send me a Lasagna at this late of hours.
I picked the sticky note and looked at the familiar hand-writting. It had a smiley face and an "A" initial at the bottom right. Realization suddenly hit me like a train, every drop of blood in my body felt like it was draining. It was Anya who sent me this Lasagna, and what made me worried was there were a huge possibilites that Anya would see me and Samantha in the building. No, I knew she must had saw me and Sam walked in the building.
I'm so screwed
"Babe? Who was that?" Sam to the kitchen and hugged me from behind.
"The room service" I flatly answered
"Oh hey look, it's your favorite Babe. Who sent it?" She took the sticky note from me and read it in confusion. Then she squeeze it in her hand and throw it at the trash. I couldn't do anything about it, though my mind was screamin to me to do something about the note.
It was actually funny, why would I care about the note it was just a smiley face with Anya initial on it
Because it was from Anya you dummy
My subconscious told me, just great now I was talking with myself. I saw Sam on the corner of my eyes was unwrapping the Lasagna and put it on the microwave
"Looks like someone is being famous with girl here, huh?" Sam teased me with knowing smile. I knew she was just joking, but it was no joking matter to me. Anya knew about me and Sam, that was everything in my mind at the moment. My body seemed reacting unconciously, I didn't realize I just threw the nearby glass to the wall.
Sam looked shocked then scared, she never knew I had this side of me and so do I. I was shocked myself at my sudden action.
Sam quickly grabbed her things and put her jacket on, she was about to leave when I called her name.
"I'm sorry Marc, you're not in your right mind right now. I gotta leave" then she disappear behind my apartment door.
I couldn't sleep at all that night, although I was really tired but my eyes refused to close. I didn't know what I felt right now, it was all mixed up. It was like something was tugging at my heart, and let me tell you it was not a pleasant feeling.
I was worried about Anya, if she really came here and saw me with Sam what would she be feeling. I tried not to think for the worst, but the thought kept hanging in my mind. I decided to check up on her, but all my calls were sent straight to voicemail. It made me more worried about her, she was a good woman. I shouldn't use her like I did, and now the guilt was eating me alive.
In the end, I stayed up all night and I left hundreds of voicemails and seventy four messages to Anya's phone. I looked at the clock and it showed 10 in the morning already. I got up from my position since last night, my body was aching from leaning on my bedroom's door. I took a shower then made a call to my boss saying I would not be in the office today cause I had a bad hangover, luckily he believed it. I brave myself to face Anya directly, I was going to apologize to her and told her that I never loved her. I knew it would hurt her, and I was acting selfish hurting her because of my mistake but that was the least hurt thing I could think of.
It was saturday, she usually would walk around the neighborhood. She said it calmed her down from the stress of daily life, but I bet she wouldn't do that at this moment. She would likely drown herself in work, so she must be in her shop.
I went to the florist shop on the corner of Anya's street, in hope I would be able to break up with her so I wouldn't hurt her more. But my hope died down when I saw Sebastian, Anya's bestfriend was locking the place. There was no sign of Anya there, so I approached Sebastian to asked where Anya was only to be greeted by his fist. I held my right cheek, and rose my head again to looked at the son of b*tch as he punched my other cheek.
"You j*rk, how dare you show your face again around here after what you've done. I suggest you never go near Anya ever again or there wouldn't be only bruises decorating your pretty face" then he walked away, leaving me with black and blue face.
I couldn't give up now before breaking everything off with Anya, knowing how much I hurt her made me feeling more guilty. At least she would be happy without me in her life
I was walking toward her apartment building which was only 20 minutes walk from where I was while thinking where could she be right now. And suddenly I saw a familiar black hair with pale pink beanie covering half of it, it was Anya. She was sitting in the cafe we used to hang out together in. Her back was facing the street so she didn't see me coming. I was running toward her afraid that I would lose her. I stop running as I was nearing her and controlled my breath. I unnoticedly sat on the opposite chair of hers. She rose her eyes to looked at me, and I could saw shocked clearly on her face.
