chapter 13

In the warehouse outside city in a room Avinash sit on sofa in dim light. He changed his clothes after he came here.  Cigarette and its ashes and alcohol bottles are placed in front of him. He already puffed two packets of cigarettes and one bottle of alcohol. His red eyes,  stale face and gun in one hand gave shiver to guards. They see him angry but today he is more than angry they saw blood thrust in his eyes which fears them most.

"Why Aarushi why did you do this to me? If you wanted just my money you have to told me earlier I gave you as much as you want I didn't question you but you try to betrayed me with your that fucking boyfriend. I didn't want to end this day like this I have plan for us. I wanted to talk to you wanted to hear you. You have to meet me just once before all of this but no you didn't even think about me my feelings. You betray me and I never forgive you ever. My heart is shattering seeing you crying those tears hurt me like a bitch. I never affected by anyone tears or pleading but your tears hurt me I wanted to hug you tight near my heart but I stooped remembering that these tears is for that fucking bastard. Your crying face is my biggest weakness I do everything to stop you from crying but I never able to loose you I'm selfish I know. That words of betrayal ringing in my ears. Hell I never forget you Mrs Rathore"

He thought and drank half bottle in one go.

Guards are already feared by him and now his this state what they do? They gave eachother side eye look Avinash is so much intoxicated that his eyes close slightly. After gaining some courage a guard came forwards and asked him to drop him at Mansion.

But Avinash is in full rage fired gun on ground near him making him jump for his life.

"Get out you all fucking bastards before I kill you"

Avinash was deeply hurt by her act but on the other side Aarushi thought that she was only here who was deeply hurt.

After Avinash left she had a panic attack that black fog covers all her thoughts making everything blur and soon she unconscious on floor.

Avinash's pov

Argh my head is aching but why? Oo I drank last night good all going good in your married life. She crying for not in successful to ran with that bastard and here you are having  a headache. Happy first wedding night.

Shut up you all

I groned and look my surroundings I sleep on couch in warehouse half laying on ground half on couch. Should I buy longer couch.

Don't you have a house. Did I?

"Gave me black coffee" I ordered a guard as he looking at me in horror. He ran outside to catch one. I sat on couch stretching myself. I took my phone and look at time it's early and saw a message from hacker saying that he collected all data and file is ready.

Good the end of that bastard is near. Last night I told him to extract all the data in two hour but after that I busy in drowning in my sorrow.

But before that I have to go to Mansion because of my family. If they know that I was not at home last night with my wife they became angry on me for left her alone. But they didn't knew the reality of this marriage of their Aarushi.

The guard came with black coffee I took the cup and went outside sat in car and told driver to Mansion. I drank my coffee in between and ran my hands in hairs to set them. Straighten my shirt and trying to look as I ready before they woke up.

We reached Mansion and I get off from car and went inside in Mansion. Silence no one there except some maids who cleaning. I took forward step for stairs but stop in my path hearing my mom's voice.

"Avinash"

I turned and face her. She is looking ready for day with a thali in her hands probably she went for her puja.

"Yes mom"

"Why do get ready it's early"

"Mom I have an online early meeting to attend so"

"OK.....where is Aarushi"

Probably not with her boyfriend.

"She is sleeping"

"OK...avi wait for me here I have a work with you"

I nodded and she went to home mandir and came back with a thaal in her hands, cover with a red cloth.

She stand in front of me and forward to me to take it. I took and she took off the red cloth

"This saree and jewelry for Aarushi told her to wear it for today. Today is her first rasoi"

Wow she have to complete all the rituals despite she wanted it or not. I nodded in yes and came to my room not our room.

I came back in my room. Last night memories flashes in my mind. she is so sacred of me. I saw  her shivering and cried badly. I wanted to hold her hug her tight near my heart.

I looked around in my room deshelved bedsheets scattered rose Patel some candles still burning.

I looked for her she is standing in front of vanity still in her bridal dress looking herself in mirror clutching mangalsutra in her hands drowning in her own thoughts.

I place thaal near vanity table and called her

"Aarushi"

She flinched hearing me. But I use my softest tone even I doesn't know that I can spoke to my wife in that softest tone.

She looking scared her head still down looking at floor. She clutches her duppta and fidgeting it. Her black wavy hairs cascaded down till her back. I love her hairs Avi focus.

I straighten my posture and Said pointing to thaal

"Mom send these for you. Wear it and get ready quickly their are some ritual"

She didn't spare a glance and just nodded stiffened to her place.

I forward my hand to her face trying to asking her to sit and talk properly but she take two steps back. My hand are still in her direction in air. I'm here to talk to her nicely but her this act make me angry.

I took my clothes from walk in closet and went to guest room for getting ready. Near door I stopped in my track and said in harsh tone

"Get ready quickly I don't have much time. And wait for me here we have to go together"

And went to guest room while controlling my anger.

Aarushi's pov

Life is hard but mine is much harder. Last night what he said only prove the words said by bhai. Does he really didn't have some sympathy for me . Atleast I'm a human treat me like it. Last night after he went that black fog cover my mind I started to panic the most dangerous thoughts came in my mind. How he tarnish me? And what happen if I doesn't agree with his act. Does he really harm my family. But he do. He threatened me already.

Soon that black fog comsume me and I fell unconscious when I woke up I'm on bed. I still wearing that heavy lengha and jewelry. Atleast I can get rid from these. I stood up and went near vanity and started to taking off my jewelry. And then I open up my hairs which are scattered. I didn't have energy to cry I want to but I don't have energy. I remember my last proper meal was three days ago then I have fever and then all this.

I looked my self in mirror a new Aarushi with vermillion and mangalsutra. Did my this appearance change my whole life probably yes. It change. Did I ever able to forget all this? Did life really cruel with me and why? I didn't do anything. Please God either call me there or get everything alright.

I lost in my thoughts clutching my mangalsutra when I heard his voice. His cold voice sending shivers to my spine. He seem dangerous.

I didn't have the courage to look at him so i looked down. He pointed at a thaal which he kept on chair said his mom sent it for me to get ready. He forwarded his hand but I step backward I don't let him touch me.

He said in anger when he step out of room I take a breath of relief scary he is.

I have no interest to dress up but in real I have feared by his anger and I surely saw last night a glimpse of it.

I took that saree which his mother sent for me it's a beautiful pink color saree with Zari embroidery on it. I went to that door where he went previous. Its a huge walk in closet with a full rear view mirror my suitcase also kept there. I walk in the next door which I think bathroom and yes it is. It is also huge bathtub shower and kept all the products there. All for men and women.

I took a good shower and then wear the saree surprisingly the blouse fit me perfectly.  I went near vanity and apply moisture khoel and lipstick. Wear nuptial chain and fill my hairline with vermillion.

Despite all this I can't hate the fact that I'm married. I never hate but I hate the fact that base on which this alliance happen.

I looked at myself the red mark on my neck and cheek was visible. Last night that makeup cover all this but now I have to cover this on my own. So I went to my bag hopefully some concealer or foundation I found. I found both thankgod bhabhi put this is bag I took it and apply bit of it to  hide all the marks.

But all this time my left wrist giving me a pain shiver whenever the chudda touch it.

I have to hide it. I don't know what he will react when he saw it or how much he get angry on me and this is the least time I want that.

I'm ready now but he didn't came. I don't want to go neither with him nor outside. Shit should I ran. I looked at balcony door and went to balcony its beautiful it's had a swing, a table,  and a swimming pool with a floor with mattress and pillows in corner and a small couch with lights in corner. It's so beautiful. The room theme also black and gray.

I keep looking at it but that reality hit me focus Aarushi you have to ran from here. I know its a childish thought but also I'm not in a normal condition so everything is right to do.

I looking down from railing I'm on first floor guards are down with guns in hands but I saw only a huge  garden with lots of trees. There are no trace of road or highway. Does I really in city or in jungle?

I kept looking at down count the possibilities of ran and not to catch but one gurad saw me and he looking at me with a scary look and then talk something on his wakie takie.

I ran instantly in room if that beast found that I'm in balcony surley he get angry.

"Where are you"? I hear his dangerous voice and a fear shriek let out from  my mouth.

I stand near bed and he stand in his all glory in middle of room. He wearing black shirt with black pants his hands in his pockets and looking at me no staring at me with red eyes. Why he always angry.

"I asked something?" He repeat his question in same tone

"Balcony" I said or more like whisper.

"Come mom is waiting for us" he said and took his coat and a.....a gun.

What the fuck. Who kept gun on his back of pants. Is he for real. I think his senses didn't work. It's a freaking gun he kept it so casually. Wait does he daily keep it or he took it for to kill me if I didn't let him do anything with me.

"Come fast" he said again and broke the chain of my thoughts. Now the fear for him is folded hundred times.

I walk after him. I tried to slightly cover my wrist with saree pallu and kept walking after him looking down.

We both come downstairs and his whole family waiting for us in living room with a warm smile. His mother came and took me in a hug it's feel like a pure motherly hug.

"You  are looking so pretty" She praised me and put a Kaala Tikka behind my ear. I blushed hearing her.

"Beta today is your first rasoi so you have to prepare something sweet. But if you wanted to otherwise we took it tomorrow"

She said me with hope in her eyes. I can't say no to her what if her feelings hurts.

"OK aunty"

"Call me maa mumma mom whatever you want like Avi  but not this aunty or mummy ji I don't like it. Ok" She said and patted my cheek and I nodded in yes.

She's  so sweet infect his whole family is sweet.

She show me the kitchen their house is so beautiful. There are some workers in kitchen when we reach there aunty introduce me to them.

"So beta what you want to cook" She asked me

"Kheer"

"Bacha I must sat your voice is so sweet" She said and went out of kitchen smiling.

I make kheer it's easy for me to prepare but does is everything easy in my life heck no. How much I try to prevent my wrist from heat unknownly it get and I hiss in pain. When workers hear me they came near me asked what happen but I told them it's noting and gave a sheepish smile.

Finally kheer is ready I serve in bowl and told a maid to kept on it dining table with other breakfast. When they all went I went near sink and saw my wrist. The injury turned red that burning brown skin ready to peel off some blood drops oozing from it.

No no please not blood this is the last thing I want to saw. Please please I wash it with tap water. Before in room I thought to apply ointment but first I didn't find it and secondly if someone asked me about it what I answer them. So better to hide it.

"Bhabhi come everyone is waiting for you" his brother Abhishek bhaiya came I'm kitchen.

"Bhabhi are you ok" he asked me and I frantically nodded.

He look at me suspected and said me

"But bhabhi why are you sweating"

I gave him a faint smile and said

"Vo I was cooking that's why. It's normal"

He nodded and we came to dining table. Everyone sitting there waiting for us.

"Beta come sit here" his grandfather told me pointing to the chair besides Avinash. I didn't have any choice I walk there with shaking legs and sat besides him.

Although he didn't utter a word but his presence and gaze is enough for me to feel the terror. Everyone start their breakfast with kheer.

"Its so yummy bhabhi" younger rathore Abeer said while eating a spoonful of it.

"Yes bhabhi it's so yummy" harshita said to me. And then papa Maa and dadu all praise my cooking. Yes they told me to said them as any other member said. They all are so sweet I wanted to this family a real I hope God this is real. They gave me gifts or I say jewelry.

But the most special part was that when dadu gave me dadi's  payal. It's so beautiful and with lots of gungroos i love it. A smile kept on my face. They all make me feel so special but did they know the real face behind this marriage. The motive is not respect is something else.

I said them thankyou and looking at my plate. I took a small bite of it and it's good. I taste it it's tasty but after two spoons my eyes laid on his hands which are in a tight fist. Like he trying to control his anger. Seeing this my appetite lost and all those words came in my mind.

Avinash's pov

We all having breakfast I wanted to finish as soon so I go to office and hear that bastard name.

She cook kheer for first time although I didn't like sweet but I know she had a sweet teeth. I often saw her eating chocolate and ice cream. I looked at her side she eat little.

"Aarushi, you have a sister right"? Dad asked her and she stopped eating suddenly.

"Ji" She said in her timid voice

"But beta why don't she attend your wedding"? Dadu asked her and her behavior suddenly changed. She looking lost in her thoughts. Then she slowly looked at me our eyes meet pain only I saw. My hold on spoon tighten to seeing this.

"Aarushi" Mom called her to give them an answer

"Actually.....mm...she went to Rameshwaram with jiju  to perform puja for  our parents puja on their one year death anniversary"

What just a day before our wedding it's her parents death anniversary but I remember that day his brother came to meet me don't he suppose to perform that. And on top of that he didn't even tell me about this or my family. We can wait for this. I doesn't even think how bad and lonely she must be feeling that time.

Like me everyone shocked to hear her. They stopped eating and looking at her who only play with her food not eating.

"Beta whenever she came call them here for dinner. They are our family now" Mom said her to lighten her mood. She smiled faintly and nodded her head.

"I am going to office" Saying this I left from there without waiting for their reply. I need my answers and I have to find it.

My guards are waiting for me outside with cars. I settled in my car and ignite engine two cars follow me with full of armed guards.

I reached the office and went to my cabin. My assistant Yash came with my schedule before he said anything I said in stern tone

"Call that hacker here and cancel all my meetings for today"

He went back without and that hacker came with a file and phone and laptop in his hands.

He kept phone and laptop on table and given me file.

"Sir this is the phone and laptop. And about the call logs and messages. They nor didn't receive nor replied by owner. From past three days didn't even a single message was replied nor seen. And even not deleted something. It's like owner didn't touch this from days."

"And about mails?"

"No sir not a single replied"

"You checked history who called or message"

"Yes sir. See this"

He showed me some message and call details from file.

"Sir frequently these people call the owner"

And he showed me their name and message

It's her sister Manisha her jiju neeraj and from her friends or classmates asking her whereabouts. But where are that one person whom I looked for. If she didn't touched her phone from past days then why her brother told me that he called her boyfriend and all that.

Something is missing or missed by me. Now only Aarushi can gave me answers.

"You sure about this" I asked him before leaving.

"Yes sir definitely"

He said with a confidence look and i know he is from our best hackers.

So now Mrs Aarushi Avinash Singh Rathore ready to give me answers.

I went outside of office and settled in my car. I want to reach there fastly.

When I reached home some ladies were sitting in living room. And Aarushi sit there on middle of them wearing that pink saree. Does I told her how she is looking beautiful in this.

I walk past from there. I heard Mom told her to go to her room and take some rest.

Author's pov

After Avinash went to office Radhika told Aarushi that a small function for muhdikkhai will held as other function didn't happen. Abeer and Harshita went to college first they didn't want to go but then have to go as their exam were held in some days.

Just after breakfast the function started and some ladies came which are closet to Radhika. All ladies praise her beauty and some look at her with jealousy as they wanted their daughter to be Rathore's daughter in law. When those ladies remarked this marriage as a matter of infatuation for Avinash and also some of taunt her that she trapped him in her beauty

These nasty remarks reminded her the dark truth behind this marriage which her brother told her. She get nervous and started to panic in all this. She wanted to ran far away. When Radhika saw sweatbeads on her forhead she told Aarushi to go to her room for rest. She even nicely reply to those remarks Aarushi heard it but the cause already happened

She went towards the stairs her legs were shaking , her vision getting blurry. Her body didn't responded to her she lost control but before her body fall from stairs someone hold her from waist

She didn't saw his face but she only hear her name from his mouth

"Aarushi...."

Avinash catch her before she falling. He was waiting for her there but when he saw her trembled state he ran to her direction.

Avinash hold her in his arms and went towards their room shouting out of his lungs

"Call the doctor"
