“Really?” Maximilian leaned over and pulled the seatbelt next to Evelyn.

As he got closer, the scent of hormones slowly enveloped Evelyn.

“I hold grudges, too.” Maximilian looked into Evelyn’s eyes.

Evelyn suddenly became nervous when he said those words.

Had Ivan already told Maximilian about what he had just seen?!

But the next second, Maximilian withdrew his aggressive expression and moved away from her a little.

He grabbed the seatbelt buckle and wrapped it around Evelyn’s chest, securing it firmly in the lock on her side.

What he said was just a coincidence. He wasn’t just testing her earlier!

Evelyn cursed inwardly.

She had known for a long time that he held grudges!

Maximilian happened to be going to the research institute today, so he took Evelyn with him.

In the office, he had a lot of things to handle.

The Wolfe Group had many businesses, and the research institute was just one of them.

Unknowingly, it was already lunchtime when Maximilian’s assistant, Gary, came in, holding a courier bag.

“Mr. Wolfe, this is your package. It’s not signed, but your contact information is precisely written on it.”

Maximilian said calmly, “Open it and see.”

Gary opened the bag, and a sealed transparent bag fell out.

“It’s two strands of hair,” Gary said, puzzled, “and there’s a note.”

Maximilian took it and read the printed words on it.

“Mr. Wolfe, your son’s mother is not dead.”

Maximilian stood up excitedly.

He instructed Gary, “Check who sent the package and compare these hairs with Ivan’s for a DNA

test.”

After that, he picked up his phone and walked out of the office while making a phone call. “Kevin, be ready, restart the global Hunt Mission…”

Karen estimated that Maximilian must have received the package, and she planned to see his reaction. When she arrived at his office, Maximilian was not there.

Just then, Maximilian’s office phone rang on the desk.

Karen looked around and saw no one, so she walked over to answer it.

It was a call from the kindergarten. “Are you Ivan’s parents? Your child just hit a classmate in school. Please come over immediately…”

“Oh, okay,” Karen responded and hung up the phone, smiling.

It seemed that her plan in the morning had worked.

When she arrived at the kindergarten, Karen saw two children who had been scratched by Ivan, with bloodstains on their hands, crying loudly.

Their parents also arrived and came over to demand an explanation from Karen.

“I’m sorry. I’m sorry!” Karen pretended to look guilty. “Ivan was a ride. I’ll make him apologize right away! And I will cover the medical expenses, too!”

After saying that, she lowered her head and sternly said to Ivan, who was standing next to her, “Ivan, apologize to your classmates!”

With teary eyes, Ivan stubbornly said, “It’s their fault!”

“See, your child still doesn’t know he’s wrong!” The two parents started to argue again.

“I’m sorry. I failed to educate him properly, which led to his personality…” Karen lowered her stance and apologized again..

After that, she pulled Ivan to the corner.

Ivan glared at her angrily.

Karen didn’t care and just sneered in a low voice, “Your father has no time to take care of you because he’s busy hunting down your mother. That’s why I’m here…”
