Chapter 7 : Rachel

Okay so this chapter be longer than the other ones and kinda all over the place in some parts just warning ya.

I was waiting for her for Catra. When I saw her walk out with a group of people I ran towards her and went to punch her.

Catra's pov

I walked outside and a fist came towards me. I dodged it easily then swept my foot across the floor knocking my opponent off her feet and onto the pavement. She let out a groan and I stuck my hand out to help her up. She grabbed my hand and I pulled her onto her feet, "You got me again" She said. "Yeah I'm the King what did you expect duh" I tell her. She shoves me playfully and says "Yeah yeah I know all hail King Catra but how'd I do?" "You have gotten faster. Have you been running and practicing lately." I asked "Yeah" she responded. "Aww all that for little old me" I tease her. "Shut up Catra." She yells at me. "Did you just tell me the KIng to Shut up Rachel did you?" I say mock seriously. "Yes" She says with a smirk on her face. I roll my eyes and turn around to see all of my friends' faces. They all had wide eyes and their jaws were dropped Rachel and I busted out at the laughter. "WhAt is GoInG ON?" Bow yells at me. "Why was she trying to fight you Catra?" Adora said, walking up to me. I looked at Rachel and Rachel looked at me and nodded. "You sure I mean you don't know them" I tell her. 'I trust your judgment after all you did become friends with ME." She says with a smug smile. I growled and said "Yeah it was clearly a mistake so I shouldn't even trust my own judgment."

Insert awkward silence and shocked people.

"Geez Catra I didn't know you felt like that maybe I should just go" She said with a fake pout before she busting out laughing. I laughed and then said "did you wreak". Rachel looks Catra in the eyes and says " I swear on my life that I did not crash your ride." "I would be relieved if your life actually meant something." I told her, smirking. "CaTRa WhaT IS wrONG wITh YoU IS How yoU TreAT YoUr FrIeNdS." Bow yelled at Catra. "Hey hey it's fine we are just messing with each other dang." I say. Whoa take a chill pill voice crack megee" Rachel says. Glimmer says "Are you related to Catra because I have only heard you talk once and am already convinced your sisters." Rachel laughs and says "You could say that, we grew up in the same foster home until I became too old and was kicked out." Scorpia gasped and looked like she was going to cry. She grabbed Rachel and I before she said "I didn't know you guys grew up in foster care. I'm so sorry.' "There's no reason for you to be sorry it's not your fault." Rachel says. I yelled "LET me out SCORPIAAAAAAAAAAA" Scorpia put them both down and Rachel laughed and pulled Catra into a hug as she said "I'm still the only one you let hug you thats sweet." I pull away and says "Don't give yourself too much credit. I hugged Lonnie today." Rachel's eyes went wide as she said " You hugged Lonnie, like you started the hug? The girl who had a crush on you but you didn't want to date her and couldn't because of Ms.Weaver Lonnie?" She asked. "Yes that Lonnie what other Lonnie is there and stop exposing me geez." I pushed Rachel and laughed. "And yes I did initiate the hug" I say proudy. "Yeah I doubt that," Rachel says. My proud face fell and I started yelling at Rachel "I CAN BE NICE IF I WANT TO AND YOU KNOW THAT MAYBE I JUST WON'T HUG YOU ANYMORE. Rachel starts laughing and then says "I am always the one who hugs you Catra. I growled, then said "Whatever" and turned my head away. Rachel moved my face and smiled at me then said "Are you going to introduce me or is that too formal for you."

Adoras pov

Catra and this girl were getting along really and for some reason I felt jealous. I wonder if they were more than friends. That thought made me feel sick and I didn't like it so I stopped thinking about it. The thought also made me mad. I'm not gay so I couldnt like her like that just as a friend. Right?

Catras pov

I growl and say "I am the King, nothings too formal for me and I was going to but you wouldn't Shut up." I turned around and said "Rachel meet Sparkles, Crop top, Scorpia. Entrapta, and Adora." "Okay what are their real names?" She says. I sigh and say " Glimmer, Bow, Scorpia, Entrapta, and Adora." "Okay nice to meet you I am Rachel." "HelLo I belIvE ThiS Will be the Start of a nice reLationShip." Bow said. Nice to meet you Rachel" Sparkles said. "Hi I'm Scorpia nice to meet you Rachel." Scorpia said as she hugged Rachel. "Hi, I'm Entrapta. Your red hair looks really cool. Can I study it?" She asks Rachel. "Yeah sure what do you need?". Rachel asks. "This" Entrapta says as she takes a piece of Rachel's hair. "Nice to make your acquaintance '' Adora said as she shook Rachels hand. "You must be the nice one," Rachel says to Adora. "Uh thanks I guess" Adora says. Rachel walks back to me, hugs me and says "It's nice to see you making other friends". I groan and say "Don't be like the mom I never had; it's annoying." I push her and she laughs. "All right where is it" I ask Rachel "Over here" She says. "Alright come on guys" I say as I motion for them to follow us. 'Whoa you have a bike Catra that is so cool" Crop top says. "Yeah it might be the one cool thing about you." Sparkles says "Shut up Glimmer bomb" I say. She growls as Scorpia fawns over the Motorcycle and Entrapta takes notes. "Isn't that dangerous" Adora says, causing me and Rachel to laugh. "Yeah but Catra is a really good driver" Rachel says. "I'm not THAT good" I say. "Are you going to drive me home?" Rachel asks. "Only if you stay for practice" I say smiling. "Wait, you're going to try out again." "Yes, what did you expect I love football." "Yeah I know it's just you broke your arm and -" She was cut off by me saying "AND I was and am fine don't be a worrywart Rachel." "Yeah whatever but if you break another bone don't go crying to me." "Oh please we both know I don't cry." "Yeah that's true." Rachel says. I look at my phone and notice it is 3:47. "Come on, let's go, I still have to change" I say as I grab her and start dragging her to the stands of the football field. She yelled "Bye guys it was nice meeting you."

Adoras pov

I was angry and I did not know why. I was mad at her at Rachel for no reason. No there was a reason I just couldn't figure out what it was that was making me mad. I was snapped out of my thoughts by Glimmer saying "Hey you okay Adora". "Yeah I'm fine" I tell her. "What's wrong?" Bow asks. "I don't know why but I feel anger towards Rachel even though she hasn't done anything but be nice to me." Glimmer and Bow looked at each other and then busted out laughing. "A-Adora you're jealous of her" She told me in between laughs. "No that can't be it because I'm not gay" I tell them. They laughed so hard that they were wheezing. "You may not be gay, but you deffinettly have a thing for Catra." Bow tells me. I think about what they are saying and how Catra makes me feel and how Rachel makes me mad when she's near Catra. I came to the realization that they are right. "You're right I like Catra" I tell them. Bow and Glimmer look at each other and say "Finally it took you long enough". "What if she doesn't like me back though?" I asked them. Glimmer and Bow thought before they both got the 'I got an idea look' and they said "What if we invite her to that party". "How's that going to help" I ask them. "You'll see" Bow tells me. "This will be the perfect way for us to know if Catra likes you back or not'' Glimmer tells me. I am still confused but i say "okay but i've got to go for track tryouts". I run towards the track with Glimmer and Bow following behind me.

Time skip to after the tryouts

Catras pov

I was on the football team and I was running back. The team consisted of DT, Lonnie, Huntara, Octavia, me and 6 other people. I was happy that I made the team. I was talking to Lonnie and Rachel when DT came up to me and invited me to a party and told me to bring whoever I wanted. I turned to Rachel and Lonnie and said "You guys want to come". They both got big smiles and said "Yeah duh its a PARTY". I laughed and said "Come on Rachel I have to drive you home right". "That was the deal" She says. "Bye Lonnie" She says and then nudges me. "OH yeah see ya Lonnie" I say. "Yeah see you guys at the party email me the info." Lonnie said. "You got it." I told her before I ran towards my Motorcycle. I was waiting for Rachel to catch up when I saw Adora, Sparkles, and Crop top running towards the parking lot. When they get close enough I say ''Hey what's up". "Not much just trying out for track" Adora tells me. "Well did you make it" I ask. She smiles her bright smile and says "Yep i'm the captain how did yours go". I said "Congrats and I made running back." I smile and then I hit the floor.

Adoras pov

I had just finished running a few miles for the track tryout. As per usual I made captain. I was just the smartest and fastest one who tried out. I challenged Glimmer and Bow to a race to see if they could beat me when I was a little tired or not. They lost by a mile. When I neared the parking lot I could see the shadow of a slender human standing by Catra's bike. I waited for Bow and Glimmer to catch up before I got closer to the person. When I did get closer I was able to see that the slender human was Catra so my dear of someone trying to wreck her ride dissipated. "Hey what's up"? I wanted to say the sky, so bad but instead just said "Not much, just trying out for track." She asked "Well did you make it?" She is new here so she doesn't know that I am the fastest person in this school so I smiled and replied "Yep I'm the captain, how did yours go." She said "Congrats and I made running back" like it wasn't an accomplishment. She flashed me a smile as she was talked by Rachel

Catra pov

I had just hit the pavement and was ready to hit someone till I heard a voice say "for a football player you're awfully easy to tackle" The person laughed and I immediately said "get off of me Rachel." "Hahaha how did you know it was me" she asked me to which I replied "I would know your laugh from anywhere because it is really quite distinctive from others." Her face had a tiny tint of red across her cheeks and I have no idea why. The red quickly faded and she said "is that a compliment or a diss?" "What do you want it to be?" I asked her. She said "I would prefer it be a compliment but those are rare coming from you so it's probably a diss." "I guess that's for me to know and you wonder'' I told her. She giggled a little before saying "so are we going?" "Yeah let me say bye real fast" I told her. I turn around and say "bye Sparkles, Crop top. See you later princess." I wave bye to them as I start up my motorcycle. Rachel takes my helmet and wraps her arms around my waist tightly and says "LET'S GO". With that I take off out of the parking lot and head to her address.

Adora pov

Catra had left with Rachel but seeing the way that Rachel wrapped her arms around Catra made me mad and sad because I wanted to do it as well. I was snapped back into reality when Glimmer suddenly yells "WE FORGOT TO INVITE HER TO THE PARTY". "I'll just text her," I tell them. "you have her number" Glimmer questions. "Yeah I was her helper. I have her number so she could text me when she needs help" I tell them as I send a message to Catra asking if she wants to come to the party with me, Glimmer, and Bow. "Yeah yeah but what was that princess all about" Glimmer said as she smirked at me. "Idk it's her nickname for me and I HATE it". "You surrrrrreeeee you don't love it secretly " Glimmer says, dragging out her words. "Keep this up and I'll start calling you Sparkles too" I tell her. "ADORAAAAAA" Glimmer yells at me while Bow laughs at her remark earning him a glare. "Alright let's go home" I say looking at the two of them. "NO" Glimmer yells as she jumps in the car and grabs my shades and puts them on. "What are you doing" I ask her laughing as I say it. "Get in the car losers we're going SHOPPING." She practically yells. I hear a squeal behind me. I turn around to Bow hopping up and down from one foot to the other as he yells "SHOPPING YESSS". I laugh and turn back to Glimmer. "Why are we going shopping?" I ask her. "We are going to a PARTY Adora we got to look nice." Before I can argue Bow opened the car door, jumped in and closed the door with the biggest grin humanly possible plastered on his face as he did it. "Alright we're going shopping" I say. Glimmer and Bow yell "YES we're going shopping" simultaneously. I get in the driver's seat, start my car which is a red Jeep(Yes the most unoriginal thing ever), and head for the mall.

Catra's pov

I was driving towards Rachel's house and whenever we hit a bump her grip around my waist would tighten causing me to laugh. "It's NOT FUNNY CATRA" she yelled at me as we neared her house. "Oh but it is funny Rachel it really is." I told her as I laughed at how scared she was. "I thought I was a really good driver." I said as I stopped in her driveway. "I was just trying to comfort your friends you actually suck at driving" She said as she got off my bike. "HEY" I yelled as I playfully punched her in the shoulder. She laughed and said "You know I'm kidding." "Yeah I know" I told her. "You wanna come in" She asked me, making a gesture towards her door. "Naw I have to get ready for the party, remember" She nodded her head and asked "You want me to pick you up?" I feel a sense of fear run through my body. "No you know how Ms.Weaver will act if she found out I was leaving with a girl" I tell her. "Yeah I guess ever since you came out she doesn't want you hanging out with girls when she's not around" She said as I nodded my head in agreement. "Bye" I said as I put on my helmet and got on my bike. "See ya" Rachel said as she waved me off. I drove towards my home if that's what people want to call the place they live. When I got there I parked my bike on the side of the house and climbed up into my room through my window. I looked at my closet trying to decide what to wear when I found the perfect outfit.

Adora's pov

Adora: HELP ME.

Scorpia :): What's going on Adora are you okay.

Adora: NO Glimmer and Bow are going to kill me. I have been trying on clothes for almost 2 HOURS.

Scorpia :): HAHA that seems about right since Glimmer and Bow are the number 2 and 3 when it comes to fashion.

Adora: Can you come to the mall and distract them because I already have an outfit.

Scorpia :): why did they take you to the mall then?

Adora: It's GLIMMER and BOW that's all the explanation you need

Scorpia :): Yeah I'm coming and I am bringing Perfuma is that alright?

Adora: That's fine but please hurry they are talking about another store

I looked up from my phone to see Glimmer standing in front of me smirking. "That Catra" She asked. "No I was texting Scorpia so she could come here and I can buy the outfit I want while you use her as a guinea pig for clothes". "Okay geez we get it you dont want to be here just buy your outfit." She says kinda disappointed. "Thank you" I tell her rushing to the register to pay for my outfit. I pull out my phone and text Scorpia.

Adora: Change of plans meet me at the smoothie shop.

Scorpia:): SMOOTHIES HURRAY

Adora: Yes we are celebrating Glimmer and Bow letting me out of whatever that was.

Scorpia:): k i'll be there soon

Adora: K c'ya

Time Skip to when Scorpia and Perfuma are here

"Okay okay you have got to show us what you bought Adora" Scorpia tells me. "Yes I am sure that whatever it is will look amazing on you" Perfuma says. "Okay I'll show you when you come to my house before we leave for the party." "Oh alright" Scorpia says. "HeY gUys How ArE yOu' bow yells coming up from behind me. "OH I am great" Scorpia says "I feel amazing" Perfuma tells him. "Well we're done shopping" Glimmer says. "Alright let's go try on all of our new outfits" Scorpia says running towards the exit. I chuckle and say "Someone's excited." "It's Scorpia, what do you expect?" Glimmer tells me as she runs after her. power

Another time skip to Adoras house because I have that power

We were all trying on our outfits when I heard my phone ding. "Who's that" Glimmer asks me. "I don't know, let me check. '' I pull out my phone and see that it's from Catra. "It's Catra" I tell her. I read the message and my eyes widened. "What's it say Adora come on tell us." I look over at Scorpia, Perfuma, Bow, and Glimmer and tell them "She says DT already invited her." "WhaT BuT iT Is DT's ParTY" Bow yells. "And doesn't DT only invite people that they like?" Scorpia said, sounding kinda nervous. "Yeah I believe that Scorpia is right" Perfuma says. "Well at least we know she's coming right". "Yeah I guess" I say kinda gloomy. "Allright time for mirror photos" Glimmer yells and we all go to my room. We stand in front of the mirror as Glimmer takes a few pics to post on her insta.

Scorpia pov

I found out that Catra was coming to the party and got really excited. I was excited because one's drunk self is one's true self or so I've heard because I don't drink. This was the perfect chance to find out if she liked anyone or at least me specifically. I can't wait.

Catras pov

I put on my outfit and looked at my phone. I had received a message from Adora asking me if I wanted to come to a party with her. I was already going to said party so I told her that DT had invited me. What I didnt tell her was that I had invited Lonnie and Rachel as well because I looked at the time and there was only 45 minutes until the party started. I climbed out of the window, got on my bike, and headed towards Rachels. It took me about 15 minutes to get to her house. I ran up her steps and knocked on her door. She opened it and smiled at me. "Did you dress up" She asked me. "And what if I did" I told her. We laughed for a little bit before getting on my bike and driving to DT's. When we got there we waited for Lonnie who was taking forever to show up. I was sitting on the porch when I hear someone yell "Sorry guys but I brought two other people". I stood up and said "Who did ya bring?" I saw two familiar faces and yelled "Rogelio, Kyle." "C-Catra is that you?" Kyle stuttered out. "Who else would it be" I asked him while rolling my eyes. "S-Sorry it's been a while" He said. "Yeah it's been 4 years and also is Rogelio still as quiet as ever" I asked him. "Yeah and um we're dating" He told me. I couldn't even try to hold back my smile nor did I want to try. "I knew it the whole time i knew you two liked each other." I yelled. "Wait you're not mad" Lonnie questioned me. "Mad no i'm happy for them they deserve each other." "Wow I never would have seen this coming" Lonnie says causing all of us to laugh even Rogelio. "Come on guys lets go in and have some fun" I say. They all nod their heads in agreement as I knock on the door. "Hello Darling wanna drink" DT says as they gesture towards the inside where the party was at.
