Chapter 30: Prom night

Adora POV

Bow had come to pick us up and when he arrived at the door he was wearing a white and gold crop top suit. Perfuma was wearing this elegante dress with flowers on it. They drove us to the school where we went inside and started talking.

"Hey you feel good about tonight?" Glimmer asked

"Yeah you nervous?" Bow asked.

"Yeah really nervous." I said.

"It'll be okay Adora just calm down." perfuma said.

"What does she need to calm down about?' A voice behind me said. I turned around to see Catra and Scorpia. Oh go she looks so hot. She must have noticed I was staring because she said "take a picture Adorka it'll last long." I turned around and could feel my face heating up.

"Scorpia you look beautiful!" Perfuma said as she clapped her hands.

"Thanks Catra helped me pick out my outfit." Scorpia said.

"Well she did an amazing job." perfuma said. I turned back around to face everyone.

"Thanks Perfuma." Catra said.

"Did you just call me by name?" She asked me.

"Yeah and you can thank Scorps for that." She said.

"Oh really?"

"Yeah I asked Catra to stop calling you flower girl because i know you don't like it." Scorpia said.

"Well thank you Socrpia and you to Catra."

"No prob" Catra said.

"Hey wanna dance." Scorpia asked Perfuma.

"Of course." Perfuma responded.

"How about you Bow? Wanna dance?' Glimmer asked him.

"Of course m'lady" Bow said. They all walked off leaving me alone with Catra. God why am I so nervous she's my girlfriend.

"Hey wanna dance?" Catra asked as she stuck her hand out with a smile. I smiled and grabbed hand.

"Sure." We walked out to the dance floor and started dancing. "Hey you look really good babe."

"Babe huh?"

"What you don't want me to call you that?" I asked with a smirk.

"Nah it's fine adorka. I kinda like it." She smirked. "You don't look half bad yourself princess~" She said in flirty tone.

"Oh so we're going back to that are we?"

"Maybe" She dipped me and pulled me back up. God im so gay."so what do you wanna do after this dance?" She asked.

"I don't know maybe drink some punch."

"You know that's probably spiked right."

"Yeah so I can have a cup or two and then we can leave."

"Oh. My girlfriends gonna be a baddie tonight. I'd like to see that."

"Yeah just don't knock me out like last time."

"I only knocked you out because you got into a fist fight with my best friend."

"Well she kissed you and I got mad."

"No you got jealous which I understand because look at me." She said as she motioned to herself.

"You're hot I know." I said.

"Ding ding ding. Maybe you do have more than one brain cell." She said in a flirty tone.

"Nah the one braincell's just focused on you."

"Well that's sweet." She spun me around and pulled me back in as the song ended.

"Come on let's go get some punch." I said as I grabbed Catra's hand and ran over to the punch bowl. I grabbed two cups and handed one to her. "To my amazing girlfriend who survived getting hit by a car." I said.

"To my amazing girlfriend who accepted me even though I'm a jerk." She said. We bumped our cups together and drank them. "Hey wanna ditch the Prom it's lame anyways."

"After they announce King and Queen which they'll be doing in a minute" I told her.

"Alright cool." She said and then a man walked up with a microphone.

"ALRIGHT EVERYONE TIME TO ANNOUNCE THE SENIOR CLASS PROM KING AND QUEEN. DRUMROLL PLEASE," People started stomping on the ground,"YOUR PROM KING IS MS.CATRA WEAVER," The crowd cheered and I motion for Catra to go up to the guy. She sighed and walked over there. "YOUR PROM KING IS..... DOUBLE TROUBLE" He yelled. DT walked up to the stage and grabbed the microphone. "Im not your prom king darlings. I'm your emperor." They said causing everyone to laugh. DT handed the microphone to the guy and Catra out her hand out. DT took it and they began their dance. DT's actually pretty good. The dance finished and an upbeat song began to play causing everyone to go back to the dance floor and move around like idiots. Catra walked up to me and smirked. She was wearing a cheap crown that said 'Prom Queen of 2021' on it.

"Shall we leave princess?" She asked.

"Of course my queen." I said back. She shoved a hand in my face.

"UGH shut up! I was trying to be romantic and nice tonight and you pull that." I busted out laughing.

"It's not my fault everyone thought you looked nice."

"YES IT IS. I only dressed like this for you. I would have much rather shown up in my leather jacket and ripped jeans or better yet not have shown up at all!" She exclaimed.

"Okay okay I get it. Let's go." I said. We walked out of the prom and started walking. "So where do you want to go?"

"How about the beach?"

"Sure!" Since Catra arrived in Scorpias car and I arrived in Bows car, we walked to the beach. By the time we arrived the Sun was almost fully set, but the sky still had an orange and red glow. "Wow," I said, "Isn't it beautiful?"

"Yeah, but not as beautiful as you." Catra said, making my cheeks turn a little red. Catra and I sat down on the beach and watched until the stars became visible and the moon shone bright. Catra stood up and grabbed her phone. She put on 'would you be so kind' and stuck out her hand. "Wanna dance to good music?" She asked me.

"I feel like i'm having deja vu" I said before I grabbed her hand. She pulled me up and brought me close before she threw me out and spun me around. She then pulled me back and walked around me with our palms still touching. Then we kinda started a slow dance where we were hugging each other pretty much, just while doing fancy footwork. Then she threw me out and spun me again. Only this time when she pulled me back in she dipped me down.

"I love you Catra."

"I love you too Adora."

(10 years later)

Third Person POV

We look around a house and zoom into it. Inside one room is a big bed. There are two different bookshelves and a desk. On this desk is a photo of a blonde and a brunette with the words 'best friends written on the back. If we look at the back of the photo it says 'BFF's - Mara, Adora'. There is also a broken piece of cardboard in a frame on the desk. Along the walls are pictures of people. They mostly consist of two people, sometimes three or more. One of them is a wedding photo. It shows a blonde in a white dress kissing a brunette in a black tux. Another is a photo at a hospital. It shows a baby in the blondes arms. If we look around the other areas of the house we can see a smaller room. This one is filled with many children's books and toys. It also has a smaller bed with loads of stuffed animals on it. If look into the living room we will see a brunette chasing a blonde child while the older blonde sits on the couch and laughs.

"Finn, come on it's time for bed." The brunette says.

"But I don't want to go to bed." The child by the name of Finn yells.

"They get this from you Catra." The older blonde says.

"I know Adora, I know." Catra says as she sighs.

"Can I stay up a little longer pleeeeaassseee mama and mommy" Finn asks while doing those tiny little pleading eyes that many people can't resist.

"Awwww sure why not Finn" Adora says with a goofy smile.

"Adora no. Finn needs to learn to listen to us when we say something." Catra says.

"Okay." Adora says as she frowns.

"How about this Finn you go get into bed and I'll read you a story." Catra says while looking down at the child.

"A STORY. I WANT A STORY!" Finn exclamies.

"Okay then let's go" Catra says as she picks up Finn and heads towards the child's room. She sets the child down into the bed and tucks them in. "Which one do you want me to read to you today?" Catra asks.

"How about... that one!" Finn yells as they point to a book with a princess in a suit on it.

"Again? This has got to be your favorite book."Catra says as she picks it up and sits down in the bed beside her child. We can see Adora leaning on the door frame, smiling, while her wife reads to her child. Slowly we zoom out of the house and as we do we see flashes. One of Glimmer and Bow sleeping next to their child. Another of Perfuma and Scorpia playing video games with their daughter. Entrapta and Emily building robots at Prime Inc. Mermista and SeaHawk on a boat in a stormy sea. DT being the world's most famous actor. Finally we see one last image. An image of everyone smiling as they throw off their graduation caps in front of Etheria University.
