Chapter 1: Who is she?

The cover art is mine. This is my first piece of writing that I wrote for fun and showed to somebody. I would really enjoy it if you give positive feedback and tell me my mistakes and what I can do to make the little project of mine something that you can all enjoy and choose to read. Thank you!

Adora pov

Beep beep my alarm clock went off. "Ugh five more minutes" I rolled over and hit snooze and tried to fall back asleep but to no avail. Soon after I hit snooze I heard BEEP BEEP and got hit with water. "GLIMMER" I groaned "Why are you so frickin annoying" she started laughing

"It's not my fault someone decided to sleep past their alarm" she said smugly. You know sometimes she really gets on my nerves.

"I only wanted FIVE MINUTES Glimmer".

"Adora... it's 7:43"

"WHAT"

"hahahahaha" she busted out laughing

"I thought I hit the snooze button"

"Apparently not Adora" she said still laughing

"Why didn't you wake me up sooner then"

"Because I wanted to see the look on your face when you realized you were going to be late for the first time since I have known you" she said happily

"Get out Glimmer I will deal with you when I am dressed" I said angrily

I put on a white shirt with some plain blue jeans, grabbed my letter varsity jacket since I was on the track team, a pair of red vans, and then looked at the time it was 7:54. I looked at a photo, the only photo or possession I had from the horrible place in which I had grown up in. The photo was of me and a person I was never going to see again it made me sad, but also happy that i could at least look at her everyday, my BFF, my first friend, the person who protected me, a person who's name I no longer spoke for it only brought tears upon my eyes and memory's of the past. I got out of my room and smelled something, something delicious. "FOOD" I yelled.

I could hear my foster mother laugh and say "yes food Adora dear"

I heard Glimmer laugh too as I walked down the stairs and saw a plate with eggs and bacon on it. I ran down, took my seat and ate it all as fast as I could yet still savoring each and every single bite. I then found my backpack and remembered to grab my phone from my room, went to the front door and decided to check my notifications. I received one from bow. It read "the gang is waiting for you guys where are you". I was confused until I read the previous message from bow saying "let's meet at 7:40 at the school tomorrow". Glimmer had responded "yea I'll tell Adora". She hadn't told me.

"Hey ready to go" I hear Glimmer say.

I turn to her with a very upset look on my face and say "yes" by the time I finished saying that word Glimmer had run out the door and started down the road. "Oh no you don't" I say and bolt out the door closing it and yelled at the top of my lungs "GLIMMAAAAAAAAAA". I caught up to her and tackled her and with a bam we hit the ground.

"Ouch what was that for Adora" she asked

"That was for bat telling me about the group wanting to meet early, waking me up late and then running away when you knew you were guilty". I stated

" YOU slept past your alarm"

"Fair point but what about the other two" I said

.

"There was know way you weren't going to catch me miss head of the track team" she said.

"Okay" I said letting her off the ground and continuing to walk to school with her.

"And I did tell you about the group meeting you were just asleep" she said and started running.

"GlMMER" I yelled chasing after her. I picked her up and ran her to the school. I checked my phone and saw that it was now 8:05. "We still have 25 minutes left" I sighed as I said that. I then turned my attention to Glimmer who was talking with Bow and the gang. The gang is made up of Glimmer, Bow, Perfuma, Frosta, Mermista, Sea Hawk,and me of course.

I walked over there and everyone said "Hi Adora at the same time(excluding Glimmer)

"Hi guys" I said

"So why were you guys late like way late" Bow said

"Adora slept in through her alarm" Glimmer said in a hurried motion

"Adora is this true" Bow said

"Yes but Glimmer didn't tell me about the meeting and I didn't have my phone yesterday remember. I said

"Glimmer are you for real right now" Bow asks.

"Uh... um... yes...." Glimmer said nervously.

"Yea you know what I don't care right now because we are getting a new student". Bow said rather cheerfully.

"Uh Wait WHAT" Glimmer and I yelled simultaneously.

"Yea that's what I wanted to talk about but two certain someone's didn't show up on time. Bow stated.

"Ohhh get called out" Frosta said.

"Frosta, I think we should be nice to them" Perfuma stated.

Frosta not caring said "yeah well I think we should call them out"

"Okay calm down guys let's talk more about the new kid" I say.

"Yes I second that" Glimmer says adding in her two cents.

"Okay so I've heard that the new kid is from horde middle school an--" bow says before he gets cut off by Frosta saying "Horde middle school there's now way I'm talking to them there horde scum.

"Ahem Frosta" Glimmer says

Frosta looks at me and says "oops sorry Adora no offense towards you."

"None taken but I say we five them a chance."

"Fine" Frosta says.definitely not wanting to but does it anyway. The reason I thought we should give them a chance is because I am from the horde but Glimmer's mom adopted me when I was 13 thank God another year at that middle school would have been horrible, the only thing that made going worthwhile was her.

"Okay can I finish talking now." Bow says a little agitated. No one responds "thank you now back to what I was saying Is that the new student is from Horde middle school and is known for putting people who mess with them or their friends back in their place so people are scared of em and their friends respect em so the--." Bow is cut off by the announcements saying" Adora Moon to the principal's office please Adora Moon to the principal's office please."

"Alright I guess I'll see you guys in class" I say leaving my very confused friends as I run off to the principal's office to see what's up. I go into the principal's office but notice a girl outside the door. She has her hair covering one of her eyes, she is wearing a leather jacket, shades, fingerless gloves, a pair of pitch black ripped jeans, a rock shirt, and leather boots. I go through the door confused as to what that girl was doing here because I had never seen her, but I knew everybody.

"Hello principal Moon I say"

"Hello adora". She pauses then continues "there is nondout in my mind that you have heard that we have a student" she says.

*Yes I have heard about the new student" I reply.

"Good I want you to show her around the school." She says looking up at me with a smile.

"Of course, does she have her schedule, locker number and combo." I say

"Yes. Yes she does but thank you for checking." She responds "she is right outside the door oh and thank you very much Adora."

"No problem Mrs.Moon" I say and walk out the door. Oh wait I never got her name never mind I'll just ask her.

"Hey you must be my tour guide" she says sarcastically. Her and Mermista would be best friends no doubt.

"I guess you could call me that" I say

"Yea yea sure let's just get on with it blondey." She says

"Blondey." I say confused.

" Yeah it's either that or princess" she says.

"I think I liked tour guide more." I sigh

"Yeah well I gave you your options." She says very seriously

"Fine" I sigh "the second one"

She smiled "okay princess"

Wait wasn't the second one blondie." I ask

"No" she says simply

"Can I change it" I ask panicked

"To what" she replies

"Oh how about my name Adora." I say.She flinches at the sound of my name.

"Hmmm No." She replies with a smirk on her face.

"Why not" I ask winning a little.

"Cause princess is better" she says

"Ugh fine what's your name" I ask.
