Chapter 50 What A Special Welcome
âAt you!â
â
Winnie yelled with hatred. However, after she finished yelling, she realized that she seemed to have been tricked, which made her even angrier.
âMrs. Shawn, you have a very special way of welcoming your guests. Donât be so self-effacing.
Cecelia shook off her hand and said with a cool expression, âIf Iâm right, you let that Tibetan mastiff out just now, didnât you? You wanted it to attack me?â
3/5
âThatâs right. I really hope it killed you just now! You are a shameless woman who h ooks up with men everywhere. Thatâs enough! How dare you come into my house and hit on my husband!â
âCaptain Shawn and I were just talking about a case, nothing more. And Mrs. Shawn, I hear you come from a famous family. Why do you look like a shrew? Youâve been married to Captain Shawn for years, donât you have any trust in your husband?â
Ceceliaâs words were so well reasoned that Winnie had nothing to say in return but to glare at Cecelia in exasperation.
At that moment, laughter came from the villa, and Cecelia said, âYour sonâs birthday party has already started, right? Donât miss the fun part! As a woman, donât be angry all the time. Anger will bring you wrinkles!â
After that, Cecelia turned around and walked away gracefully, leaving Winnie outraged but no way to let out her anger.
Camelia was beside her, âWinnie, see? Sheâs wicked! Cecelia Linsey is an extremely shameless home-
wrecker!â
âYou donât have to tell me. I know!â
Today was her sonâs birthday party. With so many guests here, she couldnât say anything else, so she went back to the villa with Camelia.
Cecelia came in when she heard an ear-splitting sound of glassware crashing down in the ballroom.
Looking around, she could see that it was Maximus who had accidentally tripped and crashed into the champagne tower.
Many of the guests screamed, and Cecelia rushed over, pulling Andres aside to prevent him from getting hurt by the broken glass. âOops, whose kid is this?â
âThe champagne glasses are all broken! This is not enjoyable!â
Chapter 50 What A Special Welcome
3/5 A lot of people were complaining, and Ivone couldnât help but roll her eyes. She knew that the boy of the Nelson family always liked to cause trouble.
But she didnât expect the boy to behave improperly at their house today. Was this boy planning to cause havoc?
Wasnât his behavior a deliberate attempt to embarrass the host family?
Renee Janet didnât like Andres, so her sister Ivone hated Andres too.
Maria and Lydia look at each other when they see Andres causing trouble at Shawnâs place. They gloated., âThat little bas tar d should learn a lesson.â
âHe was a bully at home. But now, heâs out there. If he dares to do whatever he wants, then someone will teach him a lesson.â
Gabriella realized it was Andres who caused the mess, so she hurriedly apologized, âSorry, everyone.
This is my youngest grandson, Andres. I apologize to you on behalf of him.
Madeline said, âOh, itâs no big deal. As long as Andres is okay, itâs all fine. You know, in some cultures, breaking glasses brings blessings.â
âYes, that will bring blessings.â
Moore quickly called the ser vants in to clean up the scene.
Back at the villa, Camelia and Winnie smell the strong scent of champagne at the party. After figuring out what had happened, they both looked over at Cecelia and the child she was guarding.
Winnie had seen the news. She knew that Cecelia was only Andresâ stepmother, but she actually loved and protected the little boy like his real mother. That woman even had the nerve to hit Mrs.
Quinsey.
Winnie thought Mrs. Quinsey was talking too mean and deserved to be beaten up. But it was her sonâs birthday party, so how could she tolerate that little ba stard causing havoc on the occasion?
Winnie was not willing to let it go. She looked at Cecelia and said, âMiss Cecelia, although Andres didnât mean it, as his stepmother, shouldnât you teach your child to apologize for his behavior in public?â
Looking at Winnie, Cecelia understood that Winnie said this on purpose.
Just now Winnie lost in that battle out there, so she was upset, and then wanted to take revenge when she got the chance.

First, she deliberately brought up Ceceliaâs status as a stepmother, so as to humiliate Cécelia, and then she offered to let Andres publicly apologize when she knew clearly Andres was suffering from aphasia.
She just wanted everyone to know that Andres couldnât speak and wanted Andres to be made a laughing stock by everyone.
At this point, everyone in the room looked at Cecelia and her son, waiting for their apology.

Cecelia said calmly, âIâm willing to compensate you three times for what the kid broke, but isnât it too much to force a child who canât speak to apologize?â
Hearing this, many guests looked at the child strangely.
It seemed that the news online was right. Although the young child from the Nelson family was good-
looking, he was indeed dumb! Maria and Lydia, listening to the whispers of the people around them, felt very great.
According to what Cecelia said, Andres was dumb. In the future, all the people in the Center City would know that Andres was dumb..
How could a mute deserve to be the future heir?

Cecelia glanced at them coldly and said, âIf Andres accidentally broke something and must apologize, then why donât you ask for the same from the Shawn family? Someone from the Shawn family almost hurt me with a dog júst now. Should that guy be sentenced? Do you want to ask Captain Shawn to investigate this?â
Both Winnie and Camelia felt a little guilty. The people around them were curious about what had happened just now.
The Shawn family let their dog bite her?
âIâll look into it. But today is Hubertâs birthday. Itâs a happy day for us. Andres didnât mean to break it.
We should be more tolerant.
After saying that, Roger glanced at Winnie, hinting her not to make a
scene.
How could he not know that the Tibetan mastiff was deliberately released?
But now if she spread it out, it would only get worse and destroy the atmosphere of the birthday party.
Moore added, âYes, youâre right. Itâs all right now, Kids are naughty. This is normal. Come on, letâs blow the candles.â
Moore didnât want to talk about this anymore, Winnie and Camelia were also secretly relieved. If the others really wanted to look into it, they would all be in trouble.
Cecelia touched her sonâs little head and felt sorry for making him suffer for his brother.

Maximus didnât feel anything wrong, as if everything had nothing to do with him. But he felt sorry for his brother, who was always discriminated against and attacked by others.
Soon, Roger came out with a big three layer cake. All the people gathered around him.
He lit up the candles and sang the birthday song.
âHappy Birthday to you, happy birthday to youâ¦
âHubert, make a wish!â
Hubert, 6 years old, looked very much like his father. He was wearing a birthday hat and was praised by the public. With a happy smile on his face, âhe closed his eyes and made a serious wish.
The sound of blessing echoed in the villa. Hubert and the other children blew out the candles together.
The children were all very happy to have the delicious cake.
Maximus didnât eat it. He hated cream. But it wouldnât arouse other peopleâs suspicion. After all, Andres was always picky.
They were like each other in this respect.
After sharing the cake, one of the guests said to Master Shawn, âMaster Shawn, you are the president of the National Calligraphy Association and a famous calligrapher. How about you show us your skills in public today?â
Everyone flattered, âYes, yes, Master Shawn. Show your real strength!â
Master Shawn smiled and waved his hand. âNo, no. Iâm old. Let my grandson write it for me!â
Master Shawn wanted to show off his precious grandson by the way. Everyone uttered agreement, saying that the new generation was better, and that they wanted to see Master Shawnâs grandsonâs writing.
Soon, pen and paper were spread on the long table. Hubert stood in front of the table, surrounded by Barry, Kalvin and a few children from other families.
Hubert had practiced calligraphy since he was a child. His handwriting was beautiful. Everyone nodded and praised him.
âGood job, Hubert. You are so outstanding. You deserve to be called a prodigy!â
âThatâs great! My son is 10 years old and canât even hold a pen. well!â
