Chapter 443 Her Conditions Are Tempting Cecelia thought about coming to the hospital without telling Remington. Would he be jealous again?
Cecelia quickened her pace and approached him, explaining, âIâm sorry. I wanted to contact you, but you were in a meeting, soâ¦â
Remington had already been jealous once, so he wouldnât be foolish enough to be jealous a second time.
He hugged Ceceliaâs shoulder and said gently, âThereâs no need to explain. I already know. Thatâs why I came to pick you up. Is everything settled?â
âYeah.â
Remington glanced at the thermos in her hand and Cecelia awkwardly smiled. âActually, I didnât cook it.
Maggie brought it.â
âI see. Do you think I am that petty? Even if you really brought him food, I wouldnât say anything. After all, we canât owe him, right?â
Remington smirked handsomely and generously expressed that he didnât mind. Then he lowered his head and kissed her cheek.
What he said now was truly what he thought.
The senseless jealousy last time hurt their relationship too much. He couldnât do that again. In the future, he had to fully understand and unconditionally trust her.
âSince you say so, Iâm relieved.â
As long as this jealous man wasnât angry, everything was fine.
Maggie had been waiting nearby in the hospital parking lot. When she saw Cecelia and Remington coming, she approached them.
âMr. Nelson, Miss Linseyâ¦â
âHere you are. He ate everything and said it tasted good.â
âOh, okay, thank you, thank you very much!â
Maggie took the thermos and expressed her gratitude.
âYouâre welcome.â
After saying goodbye to her, Cecelia and Remington got into the car and left.
As the car drove on the road, Cecelia and Remington talked about what had happened that day.
Regarding Black Hawk, Remington said, âIâve already arranged for people to find clues. As long as we find out Black Hawkâs true identity, we may be able to find his weakness.â
âGood, I must make Black Hawk spill the beans!â
Thinking of something, Cecelia asked, âBy the way, have you found out the identity of the person who attacked you in Cloud City last time? Has Winger returned?â
When Cecelia contacted Remington today, Fredric answered the call and told her that Winger had returned.
âItâs been clarified. It was just a reckless ordinary assassin who died for money. Donât worry.â
âBut donât let your guard down. After all, your life is valuable. Be more low-key recently!â
Cecelia didnât want him to appear outside so openly in his identity again. It was too dangerous.
âI see. Then Iâll be the little follower of Your Majesty! I can protect you during the day and warm your bed at night. What do you think?â
Remington turned his head, pursed his lips, and looked at her with a smile. Cecelia pushed his head forward. âFocus on driving!â
âYes, Your Majesty! Letâs go have dinner first and then go to the premiere! If you donât go, Jimmy will probably cry.â
âIf he doesnât act well, he deserves to cry.â
Both of them laughed, and Remington drove towards Tranquil Tastes in the city. He had already booked a private room there.
They entered the restaurant together, and the waiter led them to the private room.
At a table by the window, Petunia was having a meal with a man. When she noticed Cecelia and Remington entering, she signaled the man across from her. âLook, sheâs here!â
Stanley turned his head and glanced at Cecelia who was walking from a distance. Watching her walk over, he withdrew his gaze.
Petunia asked Stanley, âDid you see her? Thatâs Cecelia. What do you think?â
A disdainful smile appeared on Stanleyâs lips. âThat woman seems aloof, but sheâs actually just pretending to be high and mighty.â
Based on his understanding, he felt that someone like Cecelia was not a difficult opponent.
âDo you have confidence?â
Petunia invited Stanley to come mainly to deal with Cecelia. She wanted Stanley to seduce Cecelia and make her relationship with Remington break apart. That was her main goal.
âOf course! Thereâs no woman I canât handle. Women are all the same.â
Stanley had fair skin, a gentle appearance, and captivating eyes.
Combined with his gentlemanly demeanor and tender temperament, it was easy for him to capture a womanâs heart.
He had relied on his appearance to get by until now, making rich women fall at his feet one after another. As long as he set his sights on a target, he had never failed.
âBut sheâs different. Sheâs not an ordinary woman.â
âOh? I donât believe thereâs a woman I canât handle.â
Stanley was proud of his countless experiences with women. He considered himself a love player and enjoyed challenging difficult women.
The more difficult a woman was to handle, the more interested he became.
âSay that after youâve handled her! As long as you can handle her, Iâll invest in your film and television company and make it float on the stock market!â
âItâs a deal!â
Stanley smiled with satisfaction. The conditions she offered were very tempting.
âAccording to my investigation, she might attend Jimmyâs premiere tonight. You can take action accordingly then!â
âUnderstood!â
When Jimmy was mentioned, Stanley narrowed his eyes. This time, he would settle the grievances between him and Jimmy one by one.
â¦â¦
In the private room, a romantic and exquisite candlelit dinner was prepared on the table.
Remington invited Cecelia to take a seat, and once she sat down, he stood behind her, bending down to kiss her from a higher position.
After a sweet kiss, he returned to his seat across from her.
âTaste the steak,â Remington smiled and said.
Cecelia took a bite of the steak and nodded, âWow, it tastes good.â
Remington was pleased that she was satisfied. After sharing a smile, they enjoyed their meal.
During the meal, Remington received a phone call but didnât answer. Cecelia urged him, âSomeone is calling you. You should answer it.â
âI donât like being disturbed during our meal.â Remington glanced at the phone; it was Samson calling.
âItâs Samson, probably something related to the company. Iâll take the call.â
âOkay, Iâll go to the restroom.â
Remington answered the call, and Cecelia got up and left the private room. When she returned from the restroom, she accidentally bumped into someone.
She stopped in her tracks, and the other person took a step back. She noticed that the drink in his cup had spilled, staining his silver suit. The yellow mango juice was very conspicuous, completely ruining the silver suit.
âIâm sorry. I wasnât paying attention.â
Cecelia felt apologetic for her mistake.
âItâs okay, but my clothes are dirtyâ¦â
Stanley looked at his stained clothes and then looked up at Cecelia.
Cecelia looked at the manâs gentle and handsome appearance and said with guilt, âWhat should we do? How about I compensate you?â
âIt was partly my fault as well, not entirely your fault. How about this? You help me dry clean it and return it to me when itâs done. Is that okay?â
Stanley said generously without making things difficult for Cecelia.
âThat works.â Cecelia nodded.
âThis is my business card. You can contact me once itâs cleaned.â
Stanley took off his suit jacket and handed it to Cecelia. Then he gave her his business card, waiting for her to accept it.
