Chapter 428 Staying with His Beloved Woman When Cecelia turned her head and saw him coming in, she stood up and urged, âThe water is ready.
Hurry up and have a bath!â
Remington walked over in no hurry, hugged her, and said, âI have a question!â
âWhat question?â
âYou have your mother, your brother, our four children, and me. Where do I rank in your heart?â
Hearing this, Cecelia felt he was no different from a woman who asked her man whether he loved her.
Knowing he felt insecure again, she held his face and solemnly replied, âFool! You are number one!
You donât even need to ask!â
âReally?â
Remington felt happy but suppressed his smile.
She knew he would continue to doubt himself if she did not tell him why. So, she said, âReally! Although my mother gave birth to me and is closest to me, she also has her son. My brother will have his family in the future. And our children will leave us after they grow up. You are the only one who will live with me for the rest of my life. Donât you know how important you are? You are the most important, so you come first. Understand?â
It was a perfect answer.
Remington felt sweet, so a smile appeared on his handsome face. He was indescribably happy when he said, âHoney, thank you!â
When his gaze became more passionate, Cecelia pushed him into the bathtub and said, âStop it! Hurry up and have a bath!â
After he fell into the bathtub, water splashed. Then, he pulled her in. It was a beautiful morning, so he would happily spend it with his beloved woman.
When they came out of the bathroom, more than an hour had passed.
Cecelia dressed herself up because she planned to take Snow out. Seeing them leaving home, Fredric volunteered to accompany them, saying, âMadam, will you go out? Let me drive you!â
While speaking, he glanced at expressionless Snow.
Cecelia saw him through but didnât expose him. Instead, she nodded, âOK! Thank you.â
âMy pleasure!â
Fredric then let them enter the car, sat in the driverâs seat, and started the engine.
After they left, Remington came downstairs. His task from Cecelia today was to take care of the children at home.
They were all in kindergarten now, so they did not need special care from him. When Adam saw him, he gloomily warned, âRemington, donât do such a thing again. I felt uncomfortable to see it, not to mention my sister!â
âWhat? What did I do?â
Remington had no memory of what had happened last night after he had gotten drunk, so he did not know what he had done.
âDidnât Cecelia tell you about it?â
âWhat happened?â
Remington didnât know because Cecelia had never mentioned it. So, Adamâs words made him confused.
Adam folded his arms over his chest and sullenly replied, âAfter you got drunk, you almost slept with another woman. Fortunately, Cecelia is generous. If it were me, you would have no chance!â
âWhat?â
Remington lost his composure as if being struck by lightning. Then, he said, âHow is it possible? I remember Sam sent me upstairs. How could there be another woman?â
âIsnât Fiona his sister? You should ask Sam what he is up to!â
After finishing speaking, Adam walked away. He was upset, but Cecelia did not allow him to mention it.
He didnât know why. But he could not swallow the insult even if she could endure it.
Cecelia didnât want to mention it because she had high emotional intelligence. After confirming Remington had not done anything inappropriate, she decided not to pursue the matter. Otherwise, it would affect their relationship.
After hearing Adamâs words, Remington knew something had happened after he had gone to the private room to rest.
Had Fiona done anything to him? Had he become unclean? At the thought of this possibility, he had difficulty breathing. So, he immediately went out to find out the truth.

Cecelia went to the police station to meet Roger and asked, âHow is Black Hawk now?â
He replied, âHe will be put on public trial when we complete the procedure. He is a special case. We will continue to imprison him until the jury reaches a verdict.â
Cecelia knew the evidence against Black Hawk was solid. After the police went through the process, they would convict him. It was hard to catch Black Hawk again. So, they could not let him escape no matter what!
âCaptain Shawn, can you help me apply for a visit? I want to ask Black Hawk about my mother.â
âNo problem.â
Regarding Karaâs murder, she asked, âThe anesthesiologist has confessed, right?â
âYes, he admitted he had killed Kara.â
âBut what is the motive? Did he tell you why he wanted to kill her?â
Roger shook his head, âNo. Because of the motive, we havenât concluded the case.â
âI want to meet him!â
Roger then took her to meet the anesthesiologist who had killed Kara. He was a handsome middle-
aged named Jadon Blake.
After reading his information, Cecelia learned he was married. But his wife had disappeared six months ago. He had reported it to the police, but they had failed to find her. So, she had become one of the missing persons.
Judging from his social network, Cecelia found he did not have many friends. But most of his acquaintances thought well of him. He looked like a nice person instead of a murderer.
To find out his motive for murder, she used a particular hypnosis method and successfully hypnotized him. When she ended the hypnosis half an hour later, he woke up from his deep sleep.
âDr. Blake, do you want to hear what you said just now?â
When Cecelia raised the recorder, Jadon asked in confusion, âWhat happened?â
He had unknowingly fallen asleep during the chat. When he woke up, he was confused to hear her question.
âDr. Blake, after you fell asleep, you said something no one else knows!â
Jadon was shocked and asked, âDid you hypnotize me?â
He was a doctor, so he knew some hypnosis could let people communicate after they entered the sleep state.
âYes. Dr. Blake, you are an anesthesiologist and can anesthetize a personâs body. I know hypnosis, so I can communicate with your consciousness and make you tell the truth in your sleep. Your motive for murdering Kara is in this recorder. And we can use it as evidence in court! Will you take the initiative to tell the truth now? Do you want me to say it on your behalf?â
