Chapter 40 You want me to resort to force?
Are these all shady deals of Morris?
Very good!
This is really timely!

I donât know who secretly sent them to me, but these messages are
Letâs wait and see, Morris!
Who will kneel? Oh, it remains to be seen!
The Quinsey family
The family head Morris Quinsey, his wife and son, and the other members of the family were all waiting in the main residence.
They were all waiting for Cecelia Linsey of the Nelson family to come to apologize. She was expected to bring blessings to Remington, who was dying, by marrying him.
Mrs. Quinsey, Jenny Vonegult, was dressed in her best. When she was to accept the apology in a while, her family would film a video. Then they would post it online, so she had to dress up to show her identity as the hostess.
Jenny checked the time and asked, âWhy hasnât Cecelia Linsey come yet? Will she stand us up?â
With mustache, Morris had the air of an official, sitting on a freestanding sofa. He said, âIâve given the Nelson family pressure. I donât think she has the guts to stand us up.â
Butler Quinsey said, âI will go see if sheâs here.â
He soon returned with Cecelia.
âSheâs here!â someone shouted.
Jenny looked at the woman coming in. She was wearing sunglasses with an arrogant, cold face, her hands in her pant pockets, looking so domineering.
With such an air, she didnât look like she came to apologize at all, but to collect debts from them!
Seeing Cecelia walking over with such an air, Jenny subconsciously touched her face as if she could feel pain there.
Morris had just seen the profile of Cecelia in the video news earlier, so he didnât know what she really looked like. Now, seeing a slender, tall woman in black walking in, he was obviously stunned.

âIs she Cecelia Linsey?â he asked subconsciously.
He commented on her in his mind, âSheâs hot!â

Jenny was so angry to see her enemy again! âItâs her! Sheâs Cecelial Linsey!â she said fiercely.
Now Butler Quinsey had brought Cecelia into the main living room of the house. When she stood still, Cecelia took off her sunglasses.
Seeing her entire face, Morris spilled some tea out of the glass in his hand. It burned his leg, but he didnât feel the pain.
His eyes were glued to the comerâs face. True, the woman was impressive!
She had a stunning face, and her cold air was amazing.
Morris suddenly became curious. How lucky Remington was! He was dying but wanted to keep on living by marrying someone, and the woman he got for this purpose was so beautiful, eh?
As a man, he also envied Remington.
He even thought that if the woman had come to him for mercy last night, for the sake of her stunning looks, he would have agreed to let her off.
âSenator Quinsey, Mrs. Quinsey, Iâm not late, right?â
Ceceliaâs nonchalant tone suggested that she had probably chosen. to come in at the exact appointed time.
Jenny rose and said with an angry face, âCecelia, yesterday, you slapped me in public, ruining my reputation. Today I want you to kneel and apologize to me in the presence of everyone here.
Cecelia scanned the people around her. Lots of people from the Quinsey family were here to watch the fun. Some men from the family looked her up and down with bad intentions.
She wanted her to kneel and apologize in the presence of so many people?
âWant me to kneel and apologize? Thatâs impossible!â
Cecelia stood straight, showing no sign of giving in.
âWhat do you mean, Cecelia? You agreed to come and apologize, didnât you? But you regret it now?â
Jenny asked aggressively.
Cecelia snorted and suddenly questioned harshly, âYou and your son made impertinent remarks first.
Did I slap you wrong? Did you tell Director Quinsey the truth?â

Then she asked Morris, âSenator Quinsey, you definitely think I picked holes in your wife and slapped her. But if you learned how they insulted a five-year-old boy, would you force me to apologize?â Morris also rose and said, âWhat a woman you are! Whatever had happened, you shouldnât hit her! I just ask you to apologize because I show you mercy. Do you want me to resort to force?â
âYou have great power, Senator Quinsey. Youâve resorted to force, making the Nelson familyâs share prices slump. Why did you have to do that? This is just the problem between me and Mrs. Quinsey. Is it necessary to drag the company of the Nelson family in?â
Facing the Quinsey family, Cecelia was fearless.
Now the people of the family all began pointing at her and gossiping. None of them thought Cecelia had the slightest wish to apologize or plead guilty.
She was obviously here to pick a quarrel!
Jenny said indignantly, âHoney, donât waste your breath on her! This woman slapped me but refuses to apologize. I think weâd better send her straight to the police station and then to jail!â
Morris stared at Cecelia, silent, mainly because he thought it was so pitiful to imprison such a beautiful woman.
âItâs hard to tell whoâll be jailed!â
Cecelia added, âSenator Quinsey, I want to talk to you alone!â
âCecelia, what kind of trick do you want to play? Talk to my husband alone? You wish to h ook him up?
You w h ore! Donât dream about it!â Infuriated by Ceceliaâs words, Jenny raised her hand to slap Cecelia.
But Cecelia caught her wrist and glared at her, âNot everyone can be a wh ore. One has to be at least beautiful to do that, right? Looks like you have a rich imagination. You should have become a playwriter, what a waste of your talent!â Cecelia said sarcastically, shaking Jennyâs hand off.
Jenney thought Cecelia had gone too far. Now the woman was in the Quinseysâ house, but she was so arrogant. She had to teach Cecelia a lesson, otherwise, who knew if Cecelia would push it?
âSomeone! Get the woman!â
With her order, the manservants of the Quinsey family at the ready. all rushed in to take Cecelia.
Cecelia had expected it. She turned and began kicking, sending one flying with each kick-she was super-fast.

A few more people rushed up. She swung another kick, and these manservants were all hit on the head, falling to the ground.
In the end, she kicked a manservant on the head and said fiercely and coldly, âI donât want to hurt anyone, donât make me.
Her words were cold and threatening. Apparently, she was not joking!
Jennyâs face was ashen, and those Quinsey family members all looked at Cecelia with a renewed impression.
No one expected that she could fight!
Morris was also a little shocked, a trace of interest flipping through his eyes. He ordered the manservants, âLeave us, all of you!â

The manservants struggled up from the ground and scrambled outside. Cecelia withdrew her foot, and the last manservant also ran away.
Morris again looked at Cecelia and asked, âMiss Linsey, if you want to tell me something, you might as well say it right here!â
âSenator Quinsey, you insist on hearing it here? What I want to tell you is the thing that happened on June 22 ten years agoâ¦â
Morris had looked calm, but his face immediately turned pale upon hearing her speak of the incident on June 22nd ten years ago. Yes, he was a little shocked.
