Chapter 352 He Falls Into a Trap!
Inside the suite, there was only a dim corridor light. Black Hawk walked quietly, stealthily entering the room, quickly adjusting to the dimly lit environment.
With the faint light, Black Hawk saw the lump on the bed, indicating that Cecelia was still asleep.
He took out a handkerchief soaked with ether and, as he approached the sleeping figure, suddenly pulled back the quilt and covered the personâs face with the handkerchief, pressing down firmly.
However, after about ten seconds of pressing, he suddenly realized that something was amiss.
Removing the quilt, he was surprised to find that what lay there was not a real person but just a plastic mannequin.
Crap!
He fell into a trap!
Black Hawk turned to escape, but at that moment, Adam suddenly flew out from the shadows, grabbing Black Hawk by the neck, and both of them fell to the ground together.
Black Hawk struggled, repeatedly elbowing Adam backward, while Adam clung to him tenaciously.
After a fierce struggle, Black Hawk rolled away, breaking free from Adamâs grasp, and the two began to grapple on the ground.
âYouâre Black Hawk!â
Adam looked at the man before him, recalling the previous encounter with him.
Black Hawk seemed to recognize the voice as well, showing obvious surprise.
âIf you dare interfere with me, donât blame me for being ruthless!â Black Hawk warned.
âIf you dare harm my sister, Iâll take your life!â Adam no longer spoke and charged at Black Hawk once again.
Both of them were highly skilled assassins, evenly matched. They fought in the suite for more than ten minutes, smashing everything on the table, including the desk lamp, into pieces.
Black Hawkâs dagger even sliced through the bedspread, but Adam narrowly avoided it and then kicked Black Hawk away.
Black Hawk fell near the door, realizing that continuing the fight would be extremely detrimental to him.
He quickly got up from the floor and tried to make his escape through the door.
However, he had never imagined that as soon as he opened the door, the barrel of a silenced gun was already aimed at his forehead.
Black Hawk froze in place as if nailed to the spot.
Staring at the man who had suddenly appeared before him, Black Hawk, with a look of disbelief, stammered. âYou⦠Remington Nelson? Why can you be here?â
âHmph! Surprised, arenât you?â
Remington sneered, âYou thought Iâd give you a chance to strike just because Cecelia and I are taking separate actions? Let me tell you, the reason we split up was to lure you out of hiding!â
What Black Hawk couldnât possibly know was that after Remington had dropped Cecelia off at the airport, he had taken a private jet to reach Porema. He had disguised himself and later reunited with Cecelia.
Everything was under Remingtonâs control.
From the moment Black Hawk had escaped by jumping into the sea during their last encounter, they had suspected that he was still alive and would seek revenge even if there hadnât been any information about Black Hawk.
So when Cecelia needed to come to Porema, Remington had already prepared defensive measures.
Suspecting that Black Hawk might target Cecelia, they had arranged for Adam to switch suites with her and be on standby in case Black Hawk showed up.
And as expected, Black Hawk made his move.
âYouâre indeed worthy of the leader of Mysterious Realm! Cunning and treacherous!â Black Hawk gritted his teeth.
He was well aware of Remingtonâs formidable background. Several organizations were offering enormous bounties to take down the leader of Mysterious Realm.
Especially the head of Shark Base, who was willing to go to any lengths to avenge his younger brother, Stefan, and eliminate Remington at any cost.
The price on Remingtonâs head was astronomical, which was one of the main reasons why Black Hawk had risked coming back for revenge.
But the night, he had miscalculated.
He had intended to capture Cecelia as leverage to force Remington to submit. However, he hadnât anticipated that his adversary would be even more cunning than he had thought.
âTo deal with me, you came after my woman? Youâre the real despicable thug!â Remington scoffed.
âHeh⦠Capturing me, what can you really do? Do you know how many people in the world want your life right now? You massacred Shark Base, and Donald wonât spare you either!â Black Hawk replied.
âSo many people want my life, but if Donald dares to come, Iâll send him to meet his brother!â
Remington didnât want to continue the conversation. He coldly ordered, âShut up, now! Raise your hands!â
Black Hawk slowly raised his hands, but in the process, he seized the opportunity to strike away Remingtonâs gun and quickly fled down the corridor.
âWhoosh!â
Without hesitation, Remington pulled the trigger!
No matter how fast he was, could he outrun a bullet?
A bullet hit Black Hawkâs right leg, causing it to go weak, and he stumbled.
But he was far more ruthless than expected, dragging his injured leg and continuing to flee.
âWhoosh!â
Another shot!
It hit Black Hawkâs left leg, and both his legs were now wounded. Black Hawk fell to the ground, unable to continue running.
Pain surged through his legs, causing him to writhe in agony.
Remington walked over, looking down at the man on the ground with his gun aimed at his head. Black Hawkâs face was filled with a terrified expression.
He knew he was done!
Died in Remingtonâs hands!
âTell me, whoâs behind you? Who are you working for?â
Remington demanded, but Black Hawk, in excruciating pain, clenched his teeth and refused to utter a word.
âBang, bang, bangâ¦â
Remington smashed him with the gun butt fiercely. Black Hawk tried to pull out a knife to resist and fight for the little odds, but Remington disarmed him, forcefully breaking the knife in half.
âAhhâ¦â
Black Hawk let out a painful cry.
Adam and Cecelia walked over from behind, watching the man on the ground together.
Remington released Black Hawk, and Adam approached to bind him with a rope.
At this moment, Winger and Whitegon had also appeared in the hallway. Remington ordered, âTake this guy downstairs, remove his bullets first, no anesthesia! Interrogate him until he confesses!â
Remington didnât intend to take Black Hawkâs life, as Black Hawk needed to bring him back to the Central Republic. Black Hawk was the serial killer that had caused homicides there and the police would love to send him to the trial!
âYes, sir!â
Winger and Whitegon dragged Black Hawk away.
âFinally caught him!â
Cecelia let out a sigh of relief. She couldnât help but feel a bit sentimental. This killer with OCD had caused so many deaths, and he was finally captured!
âNow we can finally get a good nightâs sleep!â
Remington took hold of Ceceliaâs hand, and they exchanged glances.
âCecelia, Remington, you two should go back and rest. Iâll stay behind to handle this,â Adam said.
The carpet was stained with Black Hawkâs blood, and Adam stayed to manage the scene.
âAlright!â
Remington held Ceceliaâs shoulder, leading her back to the suite.
After they lay down on the bed, Cecelia pillowed Remingtonâs arm. They both were unable to sleep because of the mental battle with Black Hawk.
âIt seems that the Songos have already found out Iâm here!â Cecelia said lightly. âOtherwise, they wouldnât have sent Black Hawk to attack me. Itâs clear that they donât want me here.â
âI think this Black Hawk might not be working for your uncleâs father; heâs likely a freelancer who takes various contracts. And next, if you decide to return to the Songo residence, you must be extra cautious,â Remington warned.
âYeah, the things Black Hawk said earlier made me quite worried. What if Shark Baseâs Donald comes after you?â Cecelia couldnât help but worry about Remington, and if they were separated, she would likely be anxious all the time.
âIf youâre worried about me getting into trouble, I have a great solution!â Remington smiled warmly.
Remington would never be afraid of Donald, but being cared for by his wife made him feel incredibly warm inside.
âWhat solution?â Cecelia asked.
