Chapter 33 Grab Her Wrist

âI have already checked. The two bottles of medicine Dr. Chamber prescribed for you may seem to help with your bone recovery, but in fact, they have no therapeutic effect on your illness.â
âWhat do you mean?â
âThere are a lot of quinindium and tubocurarine in the medicine he prescribed. Do you know quinindium? Quinindium is a medicine used to treat heart disease, which is usually used for the treatment of symptoms such as early heartbeat, palpitation, and intermittent rapid heartbeat.â
âBut tubocurarine is a neuromuscular blocking drug that prevents amyotrophy and muscle weakness.â
âThe drug itself is helpful for the treatment of paralysis, but you are not paralyzed, so it is useless for you.â
Remington asked, âdo you mean that Dr. Chamber prescribed the wrong medicine for me? He has practiced medicine for many years. How could he possibly prescribe the wrong medicine?â
âYouâve hit the nail on the head! Since Dr. Chamber is your personal doctor of the Nelson family, and the Chamber family has been practicing medicine for generations, would he prescribe the wrong medicine?â
Cecelia continued to explain, âIf it was impossible for him to prescribe the wrong medicine, then there was only one possibility!â âWhat?â
âHe drugged you on purpose!â
âDoes Jackson want to die? How dare he do that?â Remington said angrily.
âI donât know why. Maybe you have to investigate it yourself after you recover, I just helped you find out the ingredients of the medicine. The problem with the medicine he prescribed is quinindium. That medicine shouldnât contain quinindium. Tubocurarine can prevent muscle weakness, but the side effect of quinindium will aggravate muscle weakness. If the two kinds of medicine, tubocurarine and quinindium, are mixed together, they have the opposite effect. Even normal people who take them for a long time may become paralyzed or even poisoned!â
Remington frowned after hearing that. He was thinking about what Cecelia had just said.
Would the medicine prescribed by Jackson really do harm to his health?
But Jackson and his father were both private doctors of the Nelson

family. They had worked for the Nelson family for generations, and the Chamber family was honest and kind-hearted. Why did he do that?
Before Remingtonâs car accident, he was the head of the family. Everyone respected him.
But now, the car accident made him paralyzed and blind, so those despicable people dared to attack him?
Did they really think he was disabled?

The biggest problem now was that he lost sight, so he canât handle many things.
What Cecelia said was true? Was she really helping him?
âSince you said there was something wrong with the medicine prescribed by Dr. Chamber, then what medicine did you give me?â
âI just said that itâs a kind of medicine that can promote blood circulation and dissipate blood stasis. The blood clot in your brain constricts the nerves. Taking the medicine can help you recover your eyes and limbs.â Cecelia explained.
âCan I believe you? What if your medicine is poisonous?â Remington asked.
Cecelia suddenly lowered her head, got close to him and said, âIf I wanted to kill you, I would have already done it. If you are a coward and afraid that I will hurt you, then you donât have to take this medicine!â
Cecelia turned around and was about to leave, but her wrist was grabbed by Remington.
Although he couldnât see her, he still grabbed her wrist firmly by feeling.
âIâm not a coward. Give me the medicine!â
How could he be a coward?
Cecelia poured the pills into his hand and handed him a glass of water. When Remington reached for the glass, his broad palm just wrapped her hand.
Ceceliaâs hand, which was holding the handle of the cup, suddenly paused and she wanted to take it back subconsciously, but the man held her hand and sent it to his mouth along with the cup.
After drinking the water, he let go of her hand.
Cecelia walked away with the cup. Then she heard Remington say, âIâm hungry!â

Remington was angry with his father at that time, but now he realized that there was no need for him to be against his own health. Only after he recovered could he do what he wanted to do..
âOkay, wait a minute!â
Hearing the footsteps, Remington knew that she really went to cook. for him.
Although that woman had a bad temper, he admitted that she was a good cook.
âHey, Andres. Are you asleep?â
Andres was still awake. His mommy hadnât gone to bed yet, so he didnât fall asleep. He was waiting for his mommy. When his daddy asked him, he patted the book with his hand to make two sounds, indicating that he was still awake.
âYou see, this woman is so fierce. She mistreats me when I lose my sight. Tell me the truth, did she mistreat you?â
âBang! Bang!â
Andres wanted to tell his daddy, âDaddy, you deserve it because your are not good to Mommy.â
Because of daddyâs bad temper, Mommy left him for so long!
âAndres, remember, no matter what she says to you, donât forget that she is not your mother. If she takes you out álone, donât go with her, or she will take you away!â
Andres rolled his eyes when he heard what his dad said. âSilly daddy, she is really my biological mother. Mommy is back. She is the best to me. I am willing to go anywhere with her.
Not long after, he heard the footfalls. Cecelia came back with a tray. Before she arrived, Remington smelled a fragrant smell.
The fragrance was so tempting that he couldnât help swallowing. Cecelia walked up to him, helped him up and put a pillow on his back. Then she opened a small meal table and served him with dinner.
âItâs noodles! How could it smell so good? What did you put in it?â Remington tasted the noodles. The delicious food filled his mouth. How was it made?
âIt seems that you are really hungry. Itâs just the noodles in a simple

sauce.â
Cecelia just cooked noodles with soup-stock, shredded chicken, assorted vegetables, some chopped green onion and garlic.

Remington was indeed very hungry. He hadnât had lunch since she went out this morning. He was a fussy eater, and he didnât like the food cooked by others.
He hadnât had lunch and hadnât had dinner until now, so this bowl of noodles was simply delicious to him.
Cecelia fed him a large bowl of noodles. Then he picked up the bowl and drank up the soup..
After drinking it up, he smacked his lips. Suddenly, he was afraid that he would never have such delicious noodles in the future.
After a while, Cecelia came to help him brush his teeth, wash his face and wipe his body. She took good care of him and didnât yell at him. Remington somewhat enjoyed this moment.
After finishing the work, Cecelia went to take a shower and then. came back to lie beside her son and tell him stories.
When she was telling stories, Remington was also listening. He didnât seem to hear a story, but her voice.
When he heard her voice, he was wondering why there was such a pleasant voice in the world, like orioleâs song, attracting his heart. If he kept listening, he was afraid that he would suffer from insomnia.
After her son fell asleep, Cecelia put away the book and took out a small chip from the necklace around Andresâs neck.
No one knew that there was a mini recorder hidden in the necklace she gave her son, so she could know his whole dayâs experience through this.
Putting the chip into a professional card reading device and putting on headphones, Cecelia could hear the sound inside soon.
She wanted to know what had happened to her son when he was in the kindergarten.
