Chapter 321 Caring More about Him than She Thought
âCecelia, you canât leave!â
âDonât let her go! She killed someone. Does she still want to escape?â
âThere are so many eyewitnesses. Is she planning to deny it?â
Some of the wealthy ladies who disliked Cecelia were now kicking her while she was down, blocking her way and stopping her from leaving.

Coincidentally, there was a firework show going on at this time, and many of the latecomers were leaning on the railing, enjoying the spectacle.
Remington, Sam, and Rupert came upstairs, chatting as they walked.
A waiter walked toward them. He stared at Remington while aiming the hidden gun muzzle beneath the tray at him.
The sharp-eyed Remington noticed something off about the waiterâs behavior. When he heard the gunshot, he immediately dodged and pushed Rupert and Sam away.
The sound of the gunshot blended with the explosions of the fireworks, and it didnât attract any attention from the people around.
Sensing danger, Remington shouted loudly, âWatch out, everyone!â
Seeing that the waiter was about to shoot again, Remington kicked out, hitting the waiterâs wrist and causing the gun to misfire, leaving a clear bullet hole in the nearby wall.
After the assailant failed in both attempts, he quickly turned to escape. Regardless of the danger, Remington chased after him.
Rupert and Sam also realized that there were criminals on board who had just attempted to attack Remington, and they joined in the pursuit.
Jersey quickly learned about the murder on the cruise. Startled, Jersey immediately left the performance hall and went to the crime scene with his men.

Jersey led his men inside and saw Cecelia and Roger, as well as the waiter, who was sitting against the wall, covered in blood.
âCecelia, Mr. Shawn, whatâs going on? What happened here?â Jersey asked in shock, especially when he saw the blood on Ceceliaâs dress and hands.
Before Roger could explain, the guests behind them started yelling, âCecelia killed someoneâ¦â
âI didnât kill anyone.â
Just as Cecelia finished her sentence, she heard the sound of fireworks exploding outside. It sounded similar to gunshots.
âMove away!â
Assuming that Black Hawk was taking action, Cecelia did not waste. any time. She pushed through the obstructing guests and rushed outside.
âCaptain Shawn, catch the murderer! Donât let her escape!â Someone yelled, trying to cause trouble to Cecelia.
Roger also heard the gunshots outside and realized something was amiss. He quickly followed after Cecelia.
The guests assumed he was going after Cecelia. Winnie felt that she had finally vented her anger, assuming that as this time Cecelial had committed the murder herself, the law wouldnât go easy on her.
Winnie hoped her husband would catch Cecelia.
After examining the deceased, Jersey ordered his men to secure the crime scene and instructed the cruise to return to port.
Once the instructions were given, he also hurried out of the lounge.
Cecelia arrived in the corridor outside and saw fireworks exploding ahead. Many unsuspecting people were gathering at the front railing, enjoying the fireworks.
She began searching through the crowd for Remington but couldnât find him anywhere.
âWhere is Remington?â wondered Cecelia.
Never before had there been a moment where she felt so anxious.
It was safe to say she was burning with worry.

Her diamond high heels werenât practical for running, so Cecelia took them off and carried them in her hand, sprinting barefoot down the corridor.
âRemington!â
Her shout was drowned out by the sound of fireworks.
Remington was nowhere to be found.
Standing on a higher level, Cecelia looked down to the deck below and saw what seemed like people running and chasing each other, but they quickly disappeared from view.
Due to the long distance, she couldnât see if it was Remington and his men.
Cecelia quickly searched for an exit to follow them.
Roger followed closely behind, and when he saw Ceceliaâs figure vanish around the corner, he hurriedly caught up.
In the performance hall, Petunia had just finished preparing the piano. As she got up, she didnât see Cecelia and the others and assumed they had gone outside to enjoy the fireworks, so she decided to join them.
However, as she reached the entrance of the performance hall, she ran into Maggie, who was looking for her. Maggie informed her, âCecelia got into trouble.â
âWhat?â Petunia was bewildered.
âI just heard that she killed someone on the cruise. Sheâs on the run. now, and Captain Roger is chasing after her.â
Petuniaâs jaw dropped, and she was so shocked that she was event unable to utter a word.
She wondered, âWhen did this happen? Why did I have no clue about it at all? Did Cecelia really kill someone?â
To verify the information, Maggie took her to the crime scene, and after seeing it, Petunia believed it was true.
Petunia thought, âCecelia indeed committed murder, and now she is even fleeing in fear. Thatâs great!
Thereâs no need for the competition anymore. We can just put her in jail. Terrific!â
Petunia felt an overwhelming excitement and was in a good mood just at the thought of Cecelia spending the rest of her life behind bars.

On the massive luxury cruise ship, there were a total of six decks. Remington chased after the figure of the assailant, running down several levels.
In the end, the assailant entered an empty floor, and Remington followed. Remington had already armed himself, prepared for a confrontation at any time.
From behind a pillar, he spotted the assailant and immediately opened fire.
The assailant quickly dodged and counterattacked from the other side of the pillar, aiming at Remington.

Remington swiftly took cover behind an obstacle, and both sides. exchanged gunfire. Neither of them managed to hit their target. Remington threw a fallen chair nearby, and Black Hawk opened fire.
But as the final bullet was fired, Black Hawkâs weapon became unusable. He risked it all and made a dash to the side.
With a bang, Remington shot, but Black Hawk dodged so swiftly that he successfully avoided Remingtonâs attack.
Having fought against Black Hawk before, Remington recognized his familiar attacking style and suspected that it was indeed him.
However, Remington couldnât be sure until he caught that figure.
He chased after the direction in which the figure fled, but never did he expect that Black Hawk hadnât gone far, and Black Hawk had just concealed himself above a door.
As Remington ran out, Black Hawk leaped down from above, pouncing on Remington.
The two tumbled onto the deck, and Remingtonâs weapon fell out of his hands, sliding into a dark corner, out of reach.
Now, they could only fight barehanded..
Remington kicked Black Hawk away and coldly interrogated him, âWho are you? Why did you attack me?â
âMr. Nelson, it seems that bigwigs like you tend to forget things. easily.â
