Chris sits with Emma. At the dining table. Elisabeth is not with them. For she sits alone. Where she once sat alone. That table she sat. When she was once ugly.
And Allison walks to them. She sits next to Chris. And she knows who he is. How does she know him?
"What do you want?" Chris asks her. "Why did you tell her? You could have stayed in Lanceville." Allison says.
"I came back for her! I came back for the one I love. You thought you would keep your evil forever? Well there is light. And light comes to darkness. And darkness never wins over light." Chris says.
"Then make your light shine in this!" Allison says. As she leans in to him. And kisses him. It's so fast. So fast that he can't hold it back. So fast he can't pull away.
And Elisabeth sees it. And she is broken. A million times more than she was before.
Allison walks away. Before Chris can react. And it seems. As if he was kissing her. Elisabeth will not talk to him again. Elisabeth will not listen to him again. He knows that.
Even later. After school. Chris walks to Elisabeth. He wants to persuade her. That he did not kiss Allison. But he knows her. She never listens. When she is upset.
And the light he had once seen. It fades before his bare eyes.
And as Elisabeth walks out of the gate. Alone. Lukas. The perfect of them all. Follows from behind.
He is going to play the game. And this time he will not lose focus.
Because it's his heart he fights for.
