Chapter Twenty Five

Some day later. At the dining table. The ugliest of them all. Sits with the the perfect of them all.

And Lukas asks. "Please give me an answer. I am tired of all this waiting." And he really is. He is tired of her. Spinning him in circles.

She takes time before she answers. She knows what she wants at heart. And it's not him. "I am sorry Lukas. But I can't do it. Can't we just be friends?" She finally says. Because she wants none more than that.

"Well... I guess yes?" He says. He finds it hard to accept. He can't let go that way. But he doesn't have the strength to say no. She keeps asking him. Of how he finds her attractive. Yet he tells her. He does find her more attractive than she seems.

"What are you doing this weekend?" He asks. "Nothing." She says. "Why?"

"Meet me under Pertson bridge. I know someone who can change your life." He tells her. And she wonders. Who is this? That can change her life? She asks for more answers.

But all he does. Is tell her to wait for the weekend.
