this is a filler chapter but the next one will be good!
"Yaaaay! You're all here for the game!" Mina claps her hands.
"Heh, we wouldn't miss it," Mineta is practically foaming at the mouth.
Tsuyu slaps him with her tongue. "Stop being gross, or get out."
He wisely shuts his mouth. He should probably shut his eyes too, because he is staring at Momoyao's, um... boobs.
"So, what's the game?" Sero asks.
She giggles and drums her fingers on the floor of the girl's dorm. "It's... Two Truths And A Lie!"
"Ooh, fun!" Ochaco applauds.
"Does everyone know how to play?"
We all do, except for Todoroki. Mina quickly explains to him, and we get ready to start. She spins a plastic water bottle to decide who goes first, and it lands on Jirou.
"Okay... I play guitar, I have pierced ears, and I'm dating Yaomomo," she blushes.
"You can't pierce your ears because of your quirk," Tsuyu observes.
"OMG, girl! Finally!" Mina squeals.
Everyone offers their congratulations, and the game continues.
I space out, thinking. Jirou and Yaomomo are the second couple to get together in our class, the first being Tsuyu and Tokoyami, who had known each other in middle school. I wonder if Kacchan and I will be the third...
"Midoriya, you're muttering again!" Kaminari taps my shoulder.
I start as I'm called back to reality. "Sorry."
"It's your turn," he points to the water bottle.
"Oh. Um... I hate the dark, I'm colourblind, and I've never been to Nagasaki," I list. They're random, but I don't have anything personal I want to admit via the game.
"You're not colourblind," Kacchan points out. "We went to Nagasaki when we were five with our mothers."
I nod. "Yep."
"Aw, you two know each other so well," Mina gushes.
I can't help but notice how Todoroki silently glowers at Kacchan. Huh.

Bakugo POV
The summer camp flies by, and then finally, it is over. We board our bus in the late afternoon, and I head to the back of the bus to get the row of four seats so I can stretch out. Deku follows me without hesitation.
I take the seat next to the window and Deku sits next to me. I'm about to tell him to move to the other side so that I can put my legs up, but Shitty Hair and Dunce-face rush over and take the other two back seats.
"Oi, find your own fucking seats," I order.
Dunce-face grins widely. "Nah, bro, the only ones left are up the front with the teachers."
"It ain't my problem!"
"It's fine, Kacchan, let's just let them sit here," Deku says quietly.
I roll my eyes. "Whatever."
"He's whipped," Pikachu stage-whispers to Kirishima. I pretend not to hear.
"Are you all here?" Aizawa checks from the front of the bus. "If not, too bad. Make sure you have all your belongings because we're not driving back to get them. Understand?"
"Sensei," Shoji says, "Mineta isn't here."
"Can we leave without him?" Racoon-eyes practically begs. I snort back a laugh.
"Unfortunately, we can't, because the school would fire me," Aizawa deadpans.
Just then, the little shitâ oh, I mean, Mineta â runs through the bus doors as fast as his puny legs can carry him and sits next to Shoji. I pity anyone who had him as a camp buddy.
"Alright, the bus is starting." Aizawa sits down next to Mic and nods off instantly.
I'm pretty tired... I could fall asleep now and avoid talking to anyone on the trip. That sounds gooâ
Deku's head rests on my shoulder and I almost jump out of my skin. He snuggles his mop of hair against me, his eyes drooping closed. "Do you... mind if I..." he yawns, "fall asleep..."
"Sure."
"Mm... you smell like caramel..." he mumbles sleepily.
I start to explain that it's because of my nitro-glycerin quirk â something he probably knows from his excessive nerdy notes â but I feel his body go heavy against mine as he dozes off.
Kirishima turns to me and widens his eyes. "Dudeâ"
"Shh!" I whisper-yell.
The redhead glances over to Pikachu and they have some unexplainable, wordless conversation using a lot of eyebrow-raising and nodding. They look back at me simultaneously.
"Are you dating him?" the yellow-haired idiot asks quietly.
I shake my head.
"Did you confess?"
Nod, nod.
"He rejected you?!"
I shake my head again.
"Come on, man, we'll be guessing forever if you don't tell us."
I put a finger to my lips and pull out my phone. I type quickly and send it to Raccon-eyes, Pikachu, Soy-sauce, and Kirishima.
I confessed and he likes me back. I'm gonna take him out on some dates before we commit to a relationship. Stop fucking asking.
I watch as a flow of ALL CAPS screeching and an unhealthy amount of emoji fill my screen. I don't bother replying, clicking my phone shut.
I'm so tired...
I lean my head on top of Deku's emerald mop and let my eyes drift shut.
â
I wake up just as the bus pulls up in front of U.A.. Funny how your body seems to sense when your ride is over.
I lift my head from where I let it rest on top of Deku's soft hair. I shake his shoulder â yes, gently â and he slowly lifts his head.
He rubs his eyes. "Are we... here?"
"Yup," I respond.
"Your cheeks have marks on them," he states.
I rub my hand over my jaw involuntarily.
He stands up tiredly and starts walking to the bus door slowly. I follow. We collect our baggage from under the bus.
"Are you taking the train home?" he asks.
"Yeah," I wait a beat then add, "You?"
"My mother's picking me up."
"Alright."
Silence.
"Hey..." I rest a hand on a shoulder, causing him to look up at me. "You're pretty damn cute when you're sleeping."
Deku practically becomes a tomato.
"So, how about our date?" I continue. "I won't be able to wait much longer."
He turns redder still. "I- um, we could hang out after school tomorrow?"
"Sounds good. I'll take you for some food."
"Okay."
"Well, I'm going before I miss the train," I say.
"See you, Kacchan."
"Bye, Deku."
