Chapter 66 : That's what made me upset.

***************************************

I continued staring off with my eyes wide, trying to concentrate and remember what Aaron just informed me, however, with no avail.

"You won't remember, please say something!" Aaron whined slightly, as he's been trying to get me to talk for two minutes now.

"I'm so shocked at myself." I finally say and Aaron laughs, shrugging his shoulder.

I glared at Aaron in return, and he furrowed his brows, trying to figure out why I'm narrowing my eyes at him.

"Then why the fuck did you not know that I like you?" I asked and Aaron looked at me sheepishly.

"You were drunk, it didn't have to mean anything, but fuck you drove me crazy that night, I kept dreaming about it." Aaron said and I smiled a little.

Aaron basically just told me that during the first ever party we attended together, when he helped me to bed at his house, I'd told him to kiss me.

I have zero memory of that, and now thinking about it, I'm pissed at my own stupidity. It probably doesn't matter anymore, but if I'd known back then, I would've probably stayed away from Aaron forever.

Or became his girlfriend sooner. That too.

"Goes to show you," I replied, "I wanted to kiss you just as badly."

Aaron didn't say anything but smirked in return, as he hugged my waist and kissed my cheeck repeatedly, making me giggle.

My phone had to ruin the moment as it started ringing, and I pulled away from Aaron, crawling on the floor towards the couch where my phone was seated.

I never blocked Colton's number. In fact, I think I completely forgot I still have it. And apparently, he removed the block he had on my number as I found him calling me.

"That's..." I said, glancing briefly at Aaron, "That's Colton." I sighed and Aaron raised his brows.

"Why is he calling you?" Aaron asked, moving over to where I was sitting on the floor, and I shrugged.

I declined the call without saying anything to Aaron, but in about five seconds later, Colton rudely called again.

I gasped in surprise, as Aaron had the audacity to snatch my phone from my hand and made a move to respond.

Before he could, I quickly grabbed my phone back, ended the call and blocked Colton.

After I shut my phone, I glared at Aaron but he just ignored me, looking away.

"What was that for?" I snapped and Aaron didn't bother replying, angering me further.

"Don't ever take my phone from my hand like that, I think I'm perfectly capable of answering my own calls." I hissed, crossing my arms and standing up to sit on the couch.

"Well, excuse me if your ex who clearly wants you back is calling you and I want to put him in his place." Aaron said, his voice sounding a little angry and I narrowed my eyes at him.

"You don't know if he wants me back or not." I said and Aaron opened his mouth to argue but I beat him to it.

"And regardless of that," I said, "don't grab my phone like that, seriously Aaron, I get why you're mad, I'm upset too, but that's not acceptable."

"Okay, chill, stop being dramatic." Aaron rolled his eyes, completely infuriating me.

I chuckled sarcastically, "Oh, I'm the one who's being dramatic?"

"Whatever." Aaron said, ending the conversation, and I laid my back on the couch, feeling upset.

Aaron and I didn't say anything, and the silence was extremely awkward, plus I needed to calm down a bit.

Fuck you Colton. I was so excited for this night, and now it's ruined by this stupid argument.

I convinced my mom that she should go see my grandma and spend some days there, but she saw right through my act. She knew I wanted to spend time alone with Aaron in the house, but eventually she and dad agreed as they hadn't seen her in so long. They took two days off from their work and went to my grandma who lives a couple hours away. I told them in pure honesty that I won't go with them, and will invite Aaron over.

They were a bit hesitant but gave in, trusting Aaron.

I knew this is a one time opportunity, my parents left and Monday is off from school. That's what made me upset.

I scrolled on Instagram mindlessly, my leg bouncing up and down, and Aaron did the same on his phone.

About fifteen minutes passed like this, and I started to believe that we're going to bed early and upset, because neither of us was making a move to talk about it.

What did Colton want anyways? I don't get why he waited for me to be with someone so he can be up my ass.

I saw Aaron glance at me from my peripheral vision, as he sighed and then got up and walked away to the kitchen.

A couple minutes later, Aaron returned back, handling me a cup and I glanced at him, raising my brows.

"Is that coffee?" I asked, looking inside the cup.

"Yeah." Aaron replied.

"It's eleven fifteen right now.." I said. It's almost midnight already, we probably shouldn't have coffee. But deep down, I'm so happy because Aaron just made me coffee and talked to me.

"Yeah, but we have a whole long night ahead of us, right?" Aaron said, placing his cup of coffee that he was holding as well on the coffee table.

I couldn't stop myself from smiling, and then I sighed and stood up, putting away my cup too.

"We do." I muttered.

"I'm sorry. You were right, I was out of place." Aaron apologized and quickly, my heart swelled.

"I'm sorry too." I replied, and Aaron hugged me, wrapping his arms around me securely.

"You have nothing to apologize for." Aaron whispered and I shook my head, but Aaron continued before I could talk.

"I don't know why I did that," Aaron said, resting his face on my head as he played with my hair, relaxing me into him.

"I shouldn't be jealous when I know he means nothing to you now, he just pisses me off, especially with how he treated you before." Aaron spoke and I nodded understandingly.

I pulled back and looked at Aaron's face, "It's okay."

Aaron kissed me. A long, sweet, slow kiss. And then we pulled back and had our coffee, as we watched random videos on my phone.

"That's so cute!" I whined, and Aaron forced himself to nod his head, and I laughed at that.

"Okay, I can tell you're bored." I told Aaron and he nodded again.

"I don't know who told you that I like watching couple videos, Oreo, but I don't." Aaron said and I rolled my eyes.

"You're probably the most romantic boy I've met, what do you mean?" I replied and Aaron scoffed.

"Yeah, I am, but I'd rather do this cute shit with you than watch it." Aaron said and at that, he had me, like always.

"Awww, okay, then start with the first thing!" I said, wiggling my brows at Aaron and he furrowed his brows.

"What do you mean?" Aaron replied and I chuckled, throwing my phone next to me in excitement.

"This boy is constantly giving his girlfriend piggy back rides, why don't you do the same?" I said, crossing my arms sassily and Aaron grinned at me.

"Okay, hop up." Aaron said, standing up and leaning forward a little so I can jump on his back.

"Wait, deadass?" I replied, smiling so big.

"Yeah, go on." Aaron said and I stood on the couch, getting ready.

"Please don't drop me." I said, though I think it's my anxiety speaking only because I know how strong Aaron is, plus he's way bigger than me, and he works out way more than I ever do.

"Oh come on Oreo, I won't drop you." Aaron said and at that, I jumped on his back, squealing afterwards.

Aaron started laughing, not making a move to walk anywhere. "You're choking me." Aaron said and then laughed even more.

"Oh." I said, laughing too, as I then tied my hands around Aaron's chest, instead of his neck.

Aaron suddenly started running, with me on his back, around the house, and I screamed.

"Oh my god, oh my god!!" I exclaimed over and over again, laughing my heart out.

Aaron stopped for a bit, and took a deep breath in, "Okay, now I'm gonna take you to the kitchen and you have to grab us something to eat."

"Okay." I replied and Aaron ran again.

I didn't know Aaron was gonna be racing in the kitchen too, but he did, and we both had tears of laughter running down our faces as I tried opening the cabinets in time and getting something but managed to do nothing besides dropping some stuff on the floor.

To make matters worse, my parent's house is definitely not a big one, so we didn't have much space.

Aaron went back to the living room and dropped me on the couch, and then sat down himself, and started half laughing half panting.

"That was the most fun I've had in a long time, damn." I said and Aaron nodded in agreement.

Not even one minute later, Aaron is screaming at me, "See! I give you piggy back rides, but you know what else this couple were doing, right!"

I widened my eyes, and ran away from the couch, cowering away, as I realized what Aaron meant.

"This couple were having a fighting match too!" Aaron screamed and charged at me, and I screamed louder and started laughing as I decided to make my way up the stairs.

I went into my room and Aaron followed, as he easily caught me and threw me over his shoulder.

I giggled, "Put me down!" I screamed, throwing my fists at Aaron's lower back and Aaron laughed.

"Okay." Aaron said and threw me on my bed, making me bounce on the mattress.

Laughing this much hurts my stomach. But I can't freaking stop.

I grabbed my pillow and Aaron instantly grabbed the one I put for him on my bed and he hit me with it before I could hit him with mine.

I stood up on the bed and tried to march at Aaron again, and I successfully landed a hit on the side of his face, which made me squeal and jump around in victory.

"You're so fucking cute!" Aaron yelled and then he wrapped his arms around my waist, and threw me down on the bed, making me giggle.

"I love you." Aaron said, and then slouched down next to me as we tried to breath. Jeez, it's like we did an entire workout routine.

Aaron and I decided to just sleep right then and there, we just grabbed our phones from downstairs and then snuggled next to each other and went to sleep. Somehow, the coffee didn't effect our system.

I convinced Aaron to give me his shirt since he always rathers sleeping shirtless, and I loved his smell on it. I've got to find a way to keep this T-shirt and make it mine.

I wokeup about three hours after we've slept, only to find that it's three in the morning, and Aaron is not in bed. He's probably getting something from downstairs.

I don't know why I thought it was a good idea to leave my comfy bed and go scare Aaron, but I excitedly snuck out of my room, careful not to make any noise as I rubbed the sleep from my eyes.

Surely enough, I found Aaron downstairs, typing something on his phone as he drank water, with his back to me.

I took the chance and just as I slowly walked towards him and proceeded to extend my arm to touch his shoulder, in a second he turned around quickly and shouted in my face, startling and scaring the hell out of me.

I jumped a little, yelled, and then glared at Aaron who was laughing at me.

"How the fuck did you do that?" I asked, crossing my arms.

"I saw you walk downstairs and turned around to fool you," Aaron said, and then flicked my forehead, "and you fell for it."

"Fuck you." I muttered.

"Okay, let's go." Aaron said and I rolled my eyes.

"What are you doing here anyways?" I asked and Aaron shrugged.

"I just wanted some water." Aaron replied, lifting the glass of water to my face to show me. I grabbed it and took a sip, and Aaron laughed in response.

Aaron and I headed back to bed, and we stayed in silence for a good ten minutes.

I opened my eyes frustratingly, huffing quietly at the fact that I'm super awake right now, and that's not a good thing.

"You can't sleep?" Aaron said, and I realized he's awake too.

"Yeah, can you?" I whispered and Aaron shook his head and pulled his arms from around me, making me pout.

"Let's do something fun." Aaron said, and through the very dim light, I saw his smirk.

I was filled with thrill the moment Aaron said that, and I replied with a smile, "Like what?"

Aaron took a hold of my hand and walked us out of my room, downstairs.

And then fixed us two glasses of my parent's beer. No biggie.

I grinned at Aaron the whole time and then took a sip.

"We were asleep, what are we doing?" I said, and Aaron grinned.

"Who cares, play some music." Aaron said and I giggled, loving his spirit.

"You hate my music taste though." I stated, as I grabbed my phone to play us something.

"Well if you don't play depressing Billie Eilish songs all the time, we wouldn't have that problem." Aaron replied and I narrowed my eyes at him.

"Insult her, I dare you." I said, my fangirl emotions surfacing strong.

"I'm insulting you, Oreo." Aaron sighed and I chuckled, as I chose a song.

"This is one of my favorite songs." I said, smiling at Aaron as I raised the volume to the highest.

'Kiss Me' by Ed Sheeran started playing and Aaron smiled at me.

We continued sipping our drinks, and smiling adorably at each other as we took the lyrics in.

I was mouthing the lyrics and just when the line 'Kiss me like you wanna be loved' came up, Aaron took my glass from me and placed both of our glasses on the kitchen table.

And then he extended his arm towards me, asking me to dance with him. Right here, at three thirty in the morning, in his shirt, with my bare thighs, his bare chest, with the smell of alcohol, in the kitchen.

I threw my head back, laughing, and immediately held onto Aaron's hand, feeling as though I was going to explode from happiness. Aaron is making me live like I'm in a movie. Aaron is being romantic for me all the time. Aaron is constantly showing me the thrill of life and how to live it rightfully. Aaron is my everything.

I positioned my hands the way one would in a slow dance. One on Aaron's shoulder and the other holding his hand. Aaron placed his hand so gently on my waist, like I'm a delicate item he's scared of breaking, and his touch sent shivers all up my body, reminding me of the effect he has on me, the one no else will ever have.

Aaron and I acted like we knew how to dance, as we smiled and giggled, and swayed slowly to the song.

'My heart's against your chest,' Aaron's face held a serious look, his smile fading from my view and his eyes replacing it. His eyes that stared at me so intensely, shining brightly in the kitchen, I felt like he's looking into my soul. In that moment, Aaron and I shared one soul.

'Your lips pressed to my neck' My smile dropped too, not in sadness, but in pure love. Pure infatuation as I forgot everything else and focused on Aaron, staring at his eyes back. It was like we were communicating with our eyes, and in this moment, Aaron's eyes told me everything I needed to know.

'I'm falling for your eyes,' I leaned my head on Aaron's shoulder.

'but they don't know me yet' Aaron sighed. Softly, smoothly, slowly. As though he's savoring the moment. So was I.

'And with this feeling I'll forget, I'm in love now' I'm comfortable. I'm so comfortable and so safe. And for once, not afraid that I'm so deep in love, so blown away by this guy right here. The guy with green eyes, small dimple by the corner of his mouth, the guy with gentle touches, and delicate hands. The best person in my life. My favorite.

Aaron and I moved our bodies slowly, barely dancing but instead, appreciating each other's presence quietly.

Then towards the end of the song, I pulled back, and kissed Aaron. And then Aaron held my hand and twirled me around, making me laugh like he always does.

And then I twirled Aaron around, and he had to lean down to complete the twirl due to our height difference, and we laughed so hard. And after that, another song came on and we just continued laughing and drinking.

Aaron and I didn't only share our first dance tonight. We were also going to share something much bigger. Something that connected us on a whole new level.

Aaron and I didn't drink alot, and definitely didn't get drunk.

But when him and I got back to my room, we were still full of energy, and something felt different. There was electricity between us that I couldn't explain.

Aaron and I talked. Then went in for a kiss. But we all know where our kisses usually take us.

Aaron and I were full on making out, but this time wasn't like the usual. There was more urgency than ever, we were moving quickly, and pressing our lips on each other hungrily, lust filling our eyes. We didn't need to say words, the heat radiating between us said enough.

Aaron easily took my shirt off, the only item of clothing I was wearing, and my sports bra was quick to follow.

I told Aaron I was ready. I loved him, I was ready, and I wanted him.

Aaron Owens gave me the best night of my life. I never knew why would anyone call it making love instead of sex until that night. Until the night I felt not only extreme pleasure, but explosions and a clear connection and so much love. Every compliment, every move he did, was perfect. Utterly perfect.

Not once did I hesitate, not once did I feel uncomfortable, and with the way Aaron spoke about me, to me, I could not feel insecure.

Aaron and I went to bed the third time that night, but not for sleeping. It was so mind blowing, I was overwhelmed.

And then when we were panting and tired and on cloud nine, we shared a short goodnight kiss and grinned silently at each other, and I'd slept so peacefully that night, with butterflies in my whole body.

Aaron Owens feels like home.
