Chapter 64 : "an old friend."

*******************************************

"Hey Oreo." Aaron said, smiling upon seeing me as he walked towards me.

"Hey." I replied, shooting Aaron a smile too, as he pecked my lips.

We decided to meet somewhere near school, and then go hang out somewhere else from there.

"Looking good." Aaron said, giving me a quick eye up and down as he pulled me closer by my waist.

I giggled in reply, "Thank you, so do you."

"I got you something." Aaron muttered and I raised my brows with a grin as he gave me a Forever21 bag.

"You've been spoiling me alot since we met, seriously." I chuckled and Aaron kissed my forehead, sending jolts of electricity all over my face.

Aaron really has paid so much money for me by far, it's crazy.

"Yeah, because you're my princess." Aaron responded.

"Aww." I replied meekly and Aaron laughed, as I then proceeded to open the bag.

I found a cute grey beanie inside and gasped at how pretty it is.

"Awwww baby, thank you, that's so cuuute!!" I whined and Aaron grinned.

"You really like it?" Aaron said and I gave him an incredulous look.

"Ofcourse," I replied and then added, "here." As I gave Aaron the bag to hold for me and pulled my phone out of my purse.

"I wanna wear it now." I said, opening the front camera and proceeding to fix the beanie on my hair.

Aaron grabbed a hold of my phone for me and pointed it out for me, helping me put on the beanie easier.

I finally got the beanie on and checked out how it's looking on my phone.

"You look so pretty." Aaron pouted adorably and I smiled at him cheekily.

"You like it?" I muttered, still blushing and Aaron nodded and then kissed me on my cheek.

"We should get going, my car is close from here." Aaron said and I nodded.

Aaron intertwined his fingers with mine, and I couldn't help but smile at the gentle gesture. I love his touch.

As Aaron and I walked to his car, I couldn't help but notice someone standing a few feet from us. He looks like someone I know very well.

But I brushed it off, thinking they just look alike, until he widened his eyes upon seeing me, walked towards us, and started talking.

"Oh my god, Ellie, hi!" Colton said cheerily, not giving Aaron even one glance.

"Uhhh, hi." I said, not knowing what to say really. I haven't seen him in almost a year, haven't heard anything from him either, and also haven't forgiven him.

He looks like shit. There's guys in the world who look like Aaron, and this is the guy I chose to have sex with?

"It's been a while, how are you?" He said, and I couldn't understand what is he so happy about.

"Yeah, yeah, I'm good, what are you doing here?" I awkwardly replied, and Aaron looked around uneasily, trying to figure out who that is.

But Colton didn't give me a chance to introduce them to each other as he continued, "I just came to see a couple of friends, and I happened to come by the school."

"I see you're with somebody." Colton added, finally acknowledging Aaron who just cleared his throat and nodded.

"Yeah, yeah, this is Aaron," I said, making sure to mention the next part so that he'd go away before I smash his head, "my boyfriend."

The look of surprise on Colton's face was evident, but I went on, "This is Colton," I said to Aaron and he raised his brows, eyeing Colton even more now, "an old friend."

Ofcourse, Colton thought I'd never move on when he shut the call in the middle of my crying as he broke up with me. Well, he's wrong,

"Old friend, huh?" Colton said and I fake smiled at him.

"Yep." I vaguely replied and Colton nodded.

"I was hoping I could see you, so we can discuss some stuff, you know, I haven't heard from you for months." Colton said, and Aaron tightened his hold on my hand, to which I responded by rubbing my thumb across his hand, comfortingly.

I definitely didn't want Aaron to snap and say anything.

"Kind of hard to hear from me when you have me blocked everywhere." I chuckled and Colton sighed.

"I think we could use some talking." Colton said, yet again.

"I think we've done enough talking, and we really need to be somewhere, but it was nice seeing you, have a good day." I said, and pulled Aaron with me to continue walking.

"Wait, Ellie." Colton said, and made the wrong move by grabbing by elbow, pulling me back, and then keeping his hold on me.

"She said," Aaron snapped, taking Colton's hand off me, "we have somewhere to be and she's done talking."

"Chill man, I just need to discuss a few stuff with her, stay out of it." Colton said, a stupid grin on his face, clearly there to piss off Aaron, but before Aaron could reply, I did.

"I don't want to ever talk to you. In fact, it's not nice seeing you at all, and I told you I have somewhere to be with my boyfriend." I said raising my brows, as if daring him to continue talking.

God, I'm so done with his bullshit. I truly don't understand why I ever had feelings for him in the first place, he's freaking annoying.

"Okay, I'm sorry." Colton said, and I didn't say anything but Aaron and I proceeded to keep walking and thankfully, he didn't follow us this time.

"I know that sad fake victim face too well now." I said, referring to Colton's fake ass apology.

"What a fucking idiot, I wish you let me speak to him." Aaron shook his head and I sighed.

"I just felt it was unnecessary that you get involved, he's just being stupid, don't worry about him." I replied and Aaron nodded silently.

I couldn't help but compare Aaron's reaction to Colton's. Colton used to yell and scream in the name of jealousy. Which was never jealousy, but pure controlling and anger. I don't know how I was blinded to that.

The best part is for days and months, I wanted just one conversation with Colton. I wanted to sit with him and talk and know why he did all that he did. But now that I'm with Aaron, I truly don't give a fuck. I don't even think about him, like ever. Aaron truly made up for everything.

Once we reached Aaron's car, he opened the passenger door for me, but before I got in, I kissed his cheek softly, "I love you." I whispered afterwards.

Aaron seemed to cool down at that, as he sighed and closed his eyes when I pecked his face.

"I know," Aaron murmured, "I love you too." He said, as he kissed my lips.

I love him so much, I can explode right now.

Aaron and I ended up just getting coffee at a drive thru as we were going to head to his house after. I was finally going to properly see his mom today, and I was nervous as hell. I feel like it's going to be so awkward to see her now, after that last meeting, and I don't know how to act.

"Don't be nervous, it's fine!" Aaron exclaimed suddenly and I looked at him in surprise.

"How do you know what I'm thinking about?" I replied and Aaron laughed.

"Because I know how you're like when you're nervous about something, and stop tapping the shit out of that straw." Aaron said and I sighed as I let go of the straw that I was tapping into the cup, and actually took a sip of my iced coffee.

"I just don't know what to say to her." I said and Aaron nodded.

"You don't have to say anything, just let mom do the talking and if things get awkward, I'll make up something so we can leave." Aaron told me and I nodded, smiling at him after.

"And you're looking great, dressed cute, and rocking the shit out of that beanie." Aaron said and I genuinely thought my face would break off by my exaggerated smile and squealing at his words.

"I'm excited to see Mason though." I said and Aaron smiled at me.

"He's excited to see you too, I told him we're dating now." Aaron replied and I grinned.

Aaron and I were parked in the parking lot of the coffee place and drinking our coffee.

"You can't stay the night?" Aaron asked, a hopeful expression on his face and I pouted.

"No, it's a school night, they won't let me." I said, meaning my parents. Not only that, but I feel like that's not the best thing to do when I see his mom who wants to apologize, but I don't feel like explaining that to Aaron.

"In the summer vacation, you're not allowed to travel." Aaron said and I raised my brows.

"Hmmm, and why's that?" I said, placing my coffee in the car's cup holder.

"Because I want to spend every single night with you." Aaron replied and I giggled.

"It's bold of you to assume my life's so fun that I go places every summer." I said as I pulled myself a little over to Aaron. No reason really, I just love touching him.

"You will with me." Aaron replied, as I placed my hands around his neck, and he placed his around my waist.

"Yeah?" I whispered, my nose touching Aaron's now.

"Yeah, we'll travel everywhere together, especially to the Maldives." Aaron said and I giggled.

"Why? I prefer France." I replied and Aaron rolled his eyes.

"Because couples keep having sex there." Aaron said and I blushed immensely.

"Oh my god, shut up!" I exclaimed, and Aaron laughed.

"Water sex should be fun with you." Aaron smirked and I groaned.

"Shut the fuck up." I replied, a blush creeping on my face and Aaron's head fell back, laughing.

His laugh is so insanely incredible.

"I want to go everywhere with you." Aaron murmured and I looked into his eyes, that were gazing at my lips.

"Me too." I replied and Aaron kissed me.

Aaron and I finally made it to his house's building, and took the elevator.

"We could've taken the stairs, it's just three floors." Aaron said and I rolled my eyes.

"Three floors is alot, I think we've established that I hate walking by now." I said and Aaron chuckled.

All of the sudden, one of my worst nightmares became reality. The elevator fucking stopped moving and its lights turned off.

I blinked into the darkness and immediately my heart started beating. I hate small places like this.

"What's going on?" I said in panick, and Aaron turned on his phone's flashlight.

"It's fine, don't worry, I'll call someone." Aaron said and dialed a number on his phone.

The only time that I come to Aaron's place in so long and take the elevator, this is what has to happen.

Aaron was on the phone with someone, but I wasn't paying attention to anything except the fact that it's hot and small in here. And soon, I will barely be able to breath.

"I called for help, we just have to wait for like seven minutes." Aaron said, and I huffed.

"I don't feel well Aaron, I can't do seven minutes." I said and Aaron placed his phone with its flashlight on the floor, and grabbed my shoulders.

"No it's okay, you'll barely feel the time, and we have our phones, yeah?" Aaron said, trying to comfort me but I wasn't convinced, and I couldn't help that.

I hate small places. I hate small places. I hate small places.

"No, I already feel like I can't breath." I whimpered, my anxiety starting to kick in and Aaron knew that.

"Yes you can, yes you can, it's okay, I'm with you." Aaron said but when I let out a little cry and leaned against the wall, a look of worry plastered on his face.

"I can't." I argued, instinctively placing my hand on my throat, as my breath began to shorten.

"Okay, let's sit down, let's calm down, yeah?" Aaron said, and I nodded weakly as we slowly crouched down.

"I'm sorry." I whimpered, my tears rolling down my cheeks now. I hate having an anxiety attack in front of Aaron. Every time it happens, I feel like I ruined the entire mood we were in, and I start thinking about how he doesn't deserve to deal with this. Therefore, all I can say is an apology.

"What are you sorry for?" Aaron said, and held both of my hands in his, intertwining our fingers, "Don't be sorry baby."

When Aaron said baby and held my hands, I started focusing more on him and less on the situation we're in.

I nodded, sniffling, and Aaron kissed my forehead, "I love you." He whispered, and then said it again, "I love you so much."

I was feeling a little dizzy, and tingly in my arms, but Aaron somehow always knew how to help, because I was starting to calm down.

"Me too." I said and Aaron hugged me.

I rested in Aaron's arms for about two minutes as he kept on telling me to focus on my breath.

Aaron was right, because in a short time, the building's guard and some workers showed up, the elevator's lights turned back on and they were waiting for us when the door opened.

Aaron thanked the guys for fixing everything for us in a short time, while I hid my face behind my hair as much as possible, not wanting them to notice my tear stained cheeks.

We made it onto Aaron's floor, but I asked him to give me a couple of minutes to fix how I look and compose myself before we finally rang the doorbell.

I'm nervous.

A woman different from Aaron's mom opened the door, her face very similar to Aaron's mom but her body wider. And I'm assuming that's his aunt.

No yay for me. That's more stress.

The woman smiled widely at us, "Come on in." She said cheerily and I smiled politely as Aaron and I walked in.

"You must be Ellie!" She exclaimed and I nodded.

"That's exactly who I am." I chuckled.

"This is my aunt who I always talk about." Aaron said, and I smiled at her even more. I already love this woman for everything she's done for Aaron and Mason.

Aaron's aunt raised her brows and I giggled, "He says nice things only." I informed her.

"Oh great, so he left you to figure my bad jokes out on your own." She said and I laughed.

"Don't worry, she'll get along with you on this one." Aaron said and I nodded.

"I'm the best at these." I said, referring to the bad jokes.

"Great Aaron, I can tell your girlfriend likes me already." Aaron's aunt says and something about that makes me blush and place a piece of my hair behind my ear as I stare at the floor.

"You'll love her too." Aaron said and placed his hand on my shoulder, pulling me closer and I look up to see his eyes staring back at mine lovingly.

This guy's gaze is hard not to fall for. He got captivating eyes.

"We spent so much time at the door, how rude of me, come in come in." Aaron's aunt says and we follow her through to the living room where I find Mason sitting on the couch and my heart warms at seeing him.

"Ellie!" Mason screams when he sees me and lunges at me, which I didn't expect, but happily welcomed and hugged him back tightly, crouching to his level.

"Hey buddy, I miss you!" I said and Mason giggled, choosing not to respond to that but to get straight to what matters to him.

"You're my brother's wife now." Mason said adorably and I laughed along with Aaron and his aunt, who I later learned is named Maria.

"You want us to get married?" I asked and he shook his head.

"No, but Aaron told me you're his wife." Mason said and I can see Aaron literally face palming from my peripheral vision.

"Interesting." I said as I gave Aaron a glance and he just smiled at me, shrugging.

"Hey everybody." The voice of Aaron's mom appeared, as she came out of her room, and I stood up.

"Hi mom." Aaron replied, and I just took a deep breath in, trying to smile easily and be polite.

"How are you, Ellie?" Aaron's mom said and I fidgeted with my fingers.

"I'm good, uh, how are you?" I asked her back.

"Doing really good now." She said, smiling and I remember what she just went through.

"Yeah, um, Aaron's told me about everything and I just wanted to say, I'm sorry for what happened to you, and I'm really glad you're doing okay now." I managed to say, shocking myself for being able to form a sentence.

"Thank you." Aaron's mom said sincerely, "That means alot."

"What do we have for dinner?" Aaron said, changing the subject.

"Pizza!" Mason said excitedly and I smiled down at him.

"Seriously mom!" Aaron exclaimed, and I can already tell he's joking, "I brought Ellie here thinking you cooked something, we could've ordered pizza anywhere else."

I gasped at that, "Shut up! I love Pizza!" I said and Aaron's mom chuckled.

"I'm sorry, I didn't know what to make!" She said and Aaron rolled his eyes, laughing afterwards.

"Well the pizza has arrived half an hour ago, and it's disgustingly cold now, we should eat it." Maria said, and we all nodded together as we headed for the kitchen.

The pizza was good, and the conversation went better than I expected. Aaron's family is so sweet and funny, even his mom, who asked me a couple of things about myself and what I wanna do in my future.

Have sex with your son in the Maldives, especially in the water, I wanted to say. Thanks to Aaron, that's all I can envision now. But thankfully, I was careful not to spill crazy shit like that.

In the middle of dinner, I locked eyes with Aaron who sat across from me, and the look on his face was worth everything in the world. He was looking around with genuine happiness, keeping track of everything we're all saying, and shooting Mason winks and jokes.

He's finally got his family back, after everything he went through. I swear to god if I start crying now, I'm never coming to see these people again.

Aaron grinned at me as Mason went on about his friends from school, and he mouthed "You're amazing."

I bit my lip and smiled to myself. How will I always handle Aaron's cute moves?
