Chapter 4 : Do I just hug him?
____________________________________
I was pacing back and forth nervously in front of the door.
Aaron just texted me that he'll be here in a couple minutes.
We exchanged numbers yesterday in physics before the teacher came in.
And it's nerve-racking.
He's probably terrible at Physics, and understands chemistry very well, just chose to mess with me. By telling me he's coming over and never showing up.
My parents approved, they said as long as my bedroom door is left open. Typical.
This is it. It's been fifteen minutes.
He isn't coming.
Wow Ellie, it isn't even you who got yourself into an embarrassing situation, it was someone else this time.
I was shocked to hear the doorbell ringing. Oh. He's here.
You're too quick to judge, tone it down?
I took a deep breath, smoothed out my T-shirt, and opened the door.
Don't swoon, don't swoon, don't swoon.
That's pretty much what I have to say to myself every time I see this boy.
He's fine as hell damn..
"You're late." I said, acting cool, as if I'm not intimidated by him wearing jeans, and a tight grey T-shirt that show his toned abdomen, and his nice, very nice, biceps.
"Well hello to you too." Aaron said back, frowning.
"Hi." I rolled my eyes.
Being a bitch probably has something to do with the fact that I'm nervous and it's that lovely time of the month.
"Come in." I motioned to Aaron.
"Hello, you must be Aaron." Said my mom, coming out of nowhere.
Please god, don't let her say that she saw me speaking with Rose about how annoying he is, but still manages to look fucking hot, please.
"Hi Miss?" Aaron said.
"Kathrine, call me Kathrine please." My mom replied with a polite smile.
"Okay, Kathrine, It's nice to meet you, I'm Aaron, Ellie's friend and tutor." Aaron smiled sweetly.
He literally just transformed to a new person in front of my mom, he's never been this sweet or respectful.
Haha, you've only known him for a week, stop acting like you know everything.
"I'm his tutor too, mom, remember that." I said glaring at Aaron.
"Whatever." Aaron said rolling his eyes.
Mom laughed "You can go to Ellie's room to start studying, just keep the door open."
"I know mom." I mumbled lowkey embarrassed.
Stop, she's your mom, let it slide.
I just feel like that was unnecessary.
"Come on." I motioned to Aaron and we walked upstairs to my room.
It was a normal small room. Blue walls. Medium sized bed. Harry Styles posters. Camila Cabello posters. Shawn Mendes posters. Taylor Swift posters. The Weekend posters. The 1975 posters. Bazzi posters. Lana Del Ray posters.
Let's just say, the wall above my bed have way too many posters, It's out of space.
Oh and books.
Stacks of books everywhere.
As soon as Aaron walked in, the posters got his attention.
"Damn girl, who are these people?" Aaron asked staring at the wall.
"Excuse me." I replied crossing my arms.
"What?" Aaron asked with a confused expression, acting as if he had done nothing wrong.
"I'm offended." I answered, again.
"What, why?" Aaron asked laughing.
"Because, what do you mean who are those people, they saved the making of music." I said confidently.
"Oh.." Aaron said, looking again at the posters.
"Oh I know some of them." Aaron added.
"Of course you do." I replied taking a seat at the bed.
"I didn't take you for the fangirl type." Aaron grinned at me and I ignored him after glaring at him.
"Anyways, would you like to study on the bed, or on the floor? Or if you want we can study at the dining table downstairs?" I asked Aaron.
"No, no, the bed is fine." He answered, winking.
"Ugh!!" I said shaking my head.
What a pervert he is.
It's been two hours and I'm just now, starting to understand a little bit of what Aaron's trying to teach me.
"Look, is it like that?"
He checked what he asked me to solve and surprisingly I did it right.
"Yes!! Oh my god, finally." He said smiling.
Well, he kinda has a nice smile. And a nice little dimple.
"Okay so are we done for today? Please say yes." I said groaning.
"Hahaha, yes." Aaron responded, laughing slightly.
We decided that since we have a physics test next week, today Aaron will start tutoring me, and next time I'll be teaching him chemistry.
Studying went by pretty well actually.
We finished just in time as mom yelled "Dinner's ready!"
"Come on." I said to Aaron.
I'm starving.
But then again, when am I not starving?
After we got downstairs, Aaron told mom that he should just go home, but mom insisted he stays until after dinner.
Now we're just sitting around the table, me next to Aaron, and my mom across waiting for dad before we start eating off all the plates along with the food.
That's how hungry we all are.
We heard the door click open as dad walked in.
Aaron paled all of the sudden.
I laughed.
"What?" Aaron snapped.
"Nothing." I answered, trying to surpress my laugh.
Why is he so nervous, oh my god.
Dad is pretty chill and down to earth when it comes to boys.
I think.
"Hi." Dad greeted as he kissed mom on the cheek.
"Hi dad." I greeted dad back.
"Oh.. hello." Dad said after he sat down. Somehow he didn't notice Aaron when he first walked in.
"You must be Aaron." Dad continued smiling kindly at Aaron.
The look of relief on Aaron's face, I swear to god.
I can't. I'm gonna have to laugh one way or another.
One way or another, i'm gonna find you i'm gonna-
"Hi sir, yes it's Aaron, how are you?" Aaron asked and once again left me shook as I had no idea that he can talk nicely when he wants to or have any manners.
"I'm good, how is it spending time with Ellie, must be hard right?" Dad said jokingly.
I gasped pretending to be offended "Hey!! I won't eat if you don't take that back." I pouted childishly.
"Okay then, don't eat." Dad shrugged.
And Aaron laughed.
"Shutup Aaron." I said before looking at dad "scratch that, I'll eat, I'm starving."
"Well to answer your question sir, " Aaron was cut off by my day saying "you don't have to call me sir."
"Um, okay, well to answer that, she wasn't pretty bad, if only she changed that attitude of hers." Aaron said.
"As if." I said rolling my eyes.
"Stop arguing, the food is getting cold." Mom scolded us.
"Oh right." Dad said and that's how the rest of dinner went.
*********
"Thank you so much for the dinner, Kathrine." Aaron thanked my mom as he was by the door getting ready to leave.
"No problem." Mom replied smiling.
"You can have dinner with us anytime you want." Dad added.
My parents liked Aaron, and I wish I knew how they can tolerate him.
"Sure, thank you again." Aaron said.
And then looked at me.
And it was awkward.
Do I just hug him?
Nah, that's too much, I just met him.
Do I say Goodbye?
Naaaah, too boring, it isn't like I'm kicking him out, I should have some respect!
At the end I just settled with a "Goodbye." and a wave because that's really as good as it's gonna get.
I hope he didn't find it disrespectful.
Aaron waved back and left.
"Well, Ellie," Mom said right after I closed the door behind Aaron, "you didn't tell me the boy was handsome."
Dad raised a brow at her, looking offended.
"He isn't." I lied.
"Are you sure?" Mom said teasingly as she knew I was lying.
He's way too attractive to be called anything but handsome.
"Alright Kathrine, enough." Dad said scoffing.
"Don't worry, you'll always be the most handsome guy to me." Mom told dad smiling and looking at him so lovingly.
It's amazing how after twenty three years of being together, they still love each other.
"I love you." Dad said, his eyes brightening up.
"Love you too." Mom replied.
I sighed. "Okay ew, I need to go take a shower." I informed my parents and went for the shower as they laughed at me being grossed out by their affection.
Once I was done, I had blow dried my hair, and watched too many episodes of Friends, I got a text.
It says it's from "The hottest motherfucka I gotta blow" which is Aaron.
No, I didn't save that as his name obviously, he forced me to. He wouldn't stop annoying me till I gave in and just saved his name under that.
I need to change it to "annoying jerk" later.
His text basically said *It wasn't as bad as I thought it was, spending time with you, scary face*
Did he just call me Scary Face?! What does that even mean?
I replied with *Thank you, shitty prick.*
*Anytime, zombie hair* Aaron replied. My hair is a mess alot of the times including today, I don't blame him.
But that didn't stop me from replying with *Good Night, poop face.*
*Good night, angry bear.* Was his weak ass reply.
I didn't realize how much as I was smiling until I closed my phone.
