WELCOME TO A CHAPTER I'M VERY PROUD OF

ENJOY :

*just saying, I updated thrice this week, and that's alot*

Chapter 41 : "Don't worry, it's not drugged."

**********************************************

*tell me honestly, do i look good?* I texted Laurel and Rose to our girl group chat and then glanced at the mirror again after I sent them a picture of myself.

The black dress I'm wearing does show a little cleavage but I honestly don't mind, although it's rare, but if I do have an occasion or I'm feeling good, I don't mind tight clothes.

It's a tight lacy black dress, that the girls forced me to buy at the mall one day and I didn't know if I would ever wear it, but I guess I will now.

I think I did a pretty decent job at my makeup, but I felt a little bold when I went for the red lip look.

I just hope Laurel and Rose would be honest.

Just then I got a text from Laurel that said, *are u kidding, you look so gorgeous THATS MY HOT BESTIE RIGHT THERE*

I smiled at Laurel's cute text and then each of her and Rose sent pictures of themselves as well and we all advised each other on what shoes to wear and such.

Luckily, my parents aren't in the house so I was able to get ready in here. I told them I'll have a sleepover at Rose and I prepared a bunch of old pictures of us in her house to text them later just to confirm I'm there. Which I really will be, except after the party. I hate to lie, but they have a problem with parties, so I don't have another choice.

The rest of the week was boring, I think I might've failed English so this night better be great.

Me being a single asshole, I'll be going alone by an Uber which I'm not looking forward to because I'm not so certain about the location.

Laurel is going with Joey and Rose with Steve so I've been ditched per usual.

When I used to go everywhere with my ex whenever he visited here, I never knew why Rose would get mad, well yeah, I do now. Karma is a bitch.

I just need to make sure that one of the guys got there before me, because I'm not going to stay alone at a party, and that's pretty much why I still haven't gotten the Uber.

Just as I sprayed on some perfume and continued to stare at myself in the mirror, I heard the door knocking.

My heart dropped into my stomach, god, if that's my parents and they decided to come home now, I'm screwed.

Walking downstairs, I tried to think of a lie but nothing came up except for my anxiety ofcourse.

They're going to kill me.

How do I convince them that Rose and I want to dress up at her house?

I took a final breath to calm myself down and opened the door. Here I go.

I was surprised to see the one and only Aaron Owens, looking handsome as hell, standing behind the door.

"Hi." I said, surprised, and then chuckled.

Aaron didn't reply as he his eyes widened and then proceeded to look me up and down.

I started blushing like an idiot and tried to play it cool.

Did he just check me out..

"You look amazing, wow.." Aaron said with his eyes still widening a little.

"Thank you." I mumbled, smiling as I looked down.

"Really beautiful." Aaron whispered as he put a piece of my hair that fell on my face behind my ear.

I looked up to find his eyes slowly as my heartbeat increased.

I gave Aaron a smile as he dropped his arm and said, "I thought I'd give you a ride, Steve told me you're riding alone."

"You just won't let me get into Ubers, huh." I said and we both laughed at our inside joke as I then told Aaron to wait for me to get my purse and lock the door.

Once we were in Aaron's car, I said, "I really appreciate everything Aaron, but you don't have to drive me everywhere!"

"Don't say that, please." Aaron responded, not even glancing at me, as he started his car and we drove away.

"Is the guy's house far away?" I asked Aaron.

"Not really, about fifteen minutes, if you want, you can plug your phone and play some music." Aaron told me and I nodded my head.

Two minutes later I'm playing 'When the party's over' by Billie Eilish and Aaron is glaring at me.

We happened to reach a red traffic light and Aaron took that as a chance to lower the volume.

"Hey, that's rude!" I pouted and Aaron just narrowed his eyes at me.

"I meant fun songs, Oreo."

"I'm in the mood for depressing ones and it does have the word party in it so I thought why not." I laughed, trying to convince Aaron.

But the look on Aaron's face proved I failed.

"Okay, what do you want?" I rolled my eyes.

"Something more upbeat." Aaron smiled sarcastically.

"Blah blah blah." I mimicked him as I looked for another song.

Why is each one of our car rides weird and filled with arguments?

Aaron was right because fifteen minutes later, we pulled up at a somewhat big house with alot of people, some of which I can recognize from school, standing on the porch.

"I think everyone's already here, let's find them." Aaron told me as we both exited the car and headed towards the house door.

A group of boys were standing by the door smirking at me and eyeing me which made me very uncomfortable but it's not something that I'm not used to as a woman.

Aaron though seemed to not like that as he came to my right side so that I won't walk next to them and held my hand.

Immediately, I felt the heat rush from his touch to my heart and ofcourse my face. I just have to blush.

Unfortunately, that didn't last long because as soon as we entered the house, Aaron dropped my hand and we spotted everyone easily.

"Ellie, you look so good!!" Ethan said, making me 'aw' and hug him.

"You came together?" Rose asked, surprised.

"Yup." Aaron replied but I just stayed silent as Laurel and Rose smiled at me.

It doesn't take a genius to figure out that they ship us.

"We've been waiting to show you something, come on." Nathan told Aaron and all the guys left after telling us to be careful and that they will be right back.

Not a second after they've made their way between all the random people in here and I'm trying to appreciate a girl's beauty who is too caught up in her friend's conversation and looks drunk, Laurel and Rose started squealing.

"What's up with you?" I looked at them weirdly.

"You and Aaron have been spending alot of time together, huh?" Rose said, winking.

"What's your point?" I rolled my eyes and then tried to change the subject.

"Hey, look, that girl is gorgeous!"

"So how come you didn't tell us that Aaron bought you twenty freaking donuts!" Laurel crossed her arms and I widened my eyes.

"How'd you know!" I exclaimed and Laurel laughed.

"Joey told her." Rose shrugged.

"How does Joey know?"

"Aaron accidentally told him and now he's blackmailing him into doing whatever he wants or else he'll tell all of us." Rose explained.

"Well, I see he's already told people." I said, narrowing my eyes.

"No he told me, and I had to tell you both, the guys don't know." Laurel said, smiling.

"Okay." I shrugged and turned my head away.

"You don't even like him?" Laurel eventually said what we're all questioning.

"Ugh, I don't know." I groaned.

"It's easy, you either do or don't." Rose said.

"No it's not, I know we're very close and he's really special to me but at the same time, I'm not ready for a relationship, you know what happened last time." I said and they both nodded their heads.

We've already informed Laurel on our past lives and she did hers so she knows about this too.

"I feel like I can trust him, but I don't know if I've completely forgotten about Colton yet." I said, finally letting the words out of my chest.

"Let's not stress out tonight, we should have fun." Rose replied.

"I agree." I said, smiling.

Before I got the chance to ask the girls if they wanna dance with me, the annoying prick who ruins everything showed up.

I feel lowkey guilty whenever I think that about him because he never did anything bad really, he just has a shitty timing.

"Hey Ellie." Brad said and I fake smiled at him.

"Oh hey." I said and then he greeted Rose and Laurel.

"Wow, you look great." Brad complimented me and I couldn't help but compare his words to Aaron's.

"Oh, thanks." I grinned at him and then he shocked me.

"Can I talk to you for a second, um alone?" He asked and I looked at Rose and Laurel for help.

"Oh look Rose, we should check that out." Laurel said, dragging Rose away and I planned to kill them later.

"Go on." I chuckled as we're all alone now, you know, besides the teens drinking and dancing around us.

"Ellie, I like you very much, not as a friend." Brad jumped straight to the point and I was surprised as hell.

"Oh." I didn't know what to say.

God this is bad, I don't even know him, what is he talking about?

I hate upsetting people, and now I don't know what to say.

"I'm sorry, I don't know what to say." I tried speaking again but that didn't seem to really work.

Brad laughed nervously and I felt so bad.

"I'm sorry but I don't feel the same way." I forced out and immediately felt bad when Brad's smile vanished.

"You don't?" He said, as if he didn't expect that.

"It's nothing against you at all, I just think you're a great friend and um," this is harder than I thought, "I think we still don't really know each other well enough."

"Why were you giving me signals then?" Brad suddenly said, sounding defensive.

Wait, hold up. What is he talking about?

"Um, sorry, but I don't think I ever did, we rarely even speak to each other, look I'm really sorry again but I think-"

Before I got the chance to finish and wrap this up, Brad interrupted me rudely.

"You think you can just mess with people's feelings?" He said and I gasped in shock.

Okay, now I'm getting fucking mad, fuck feeling bad for this bitch.

"Are you kidding me right now? I always tried to end our unpleasant conversations by the way, but you were the one who kept bringing shit up, I never gave you any signs that I want to be involved with you, I've already told you that nicely." I said, getting all worked up.

"You're just too arrogant to accept people." Brad said.

"Oh I'm arrogant? See this is proof that you don't know me, and I swear to god if you don't get the hell away from me right now, this is not going to end well for you." I said back, slightly raising my voice now.

I'm so fed up with guys making me feel guilty for not hooking up with them because yes, I know Brad doesn't like me, he doesn't even know me, he probably just wanted that out of this and I wasn't gonna let him disrespect me after I've just been nice.

After my outburst, Brad huffed and walked away, leaving me angry as hell.

The guys suddenly came back with Laurel and Rose and asked me what's wrong.

"Nothing, never mind." I laughed and played it off but nodded at Rose and Laurel to make them know I will tell them later for sure.

Aaron just looked at me, trying to figure out what's really going on, so I looked away.

He always seems to know everything when it comes to me, and I don't know if I wanna tell him what just happened right here right now, maybe later, maybe never.

"Here's a drink." Rose offered me a cup.

"Thank you." I said and got excited.

I really need this to calm down. Fucking dumb ass Brad.

"Where is this from?" I asked Rose before drinking.

"Don't worry, it's not drugged." Rose laughed and I shrugged as I started drinking it.

The alcohol immediately burned my throat and I hate its smell anyways.

I don't drink alot, in fact, I've probably drank like four times before, none of which I got fully drunk but I wanna loosen up today.

I don't know what's gotten into my adrenaline lately but, I don't care.

"Hi guys." Clara suddenly showed up, looking great as usual and hugged me and the girls.

I love this girl.

"Where's Abby?" I pouted, looking for my fangirl soulmate. Recently, her and I have been fangirling in some classes. Plus, she and Clara are normally inseparable, I always see them together and I expected so today as well.

"She couldn't make it but she says hi." Clara answered.

About an hour later, Rose, Laurel, Clara and I had danced alot, drank alot, and took many selfies.

I don't want to admit it but I think I'm a little drunk. Or very drunk.

I told Rose and Laurel what happened with Brad and after alot of cussing on him, I had another drink. And another. And another.

Because I'm not so used to drinking, by the fourth cup I was already drunk and having too much fun probably.

I can swear I saw Aaron staring at me multiple times as I was dancing but my mind is way too clouded now to think about that.

The girls and I decided to take a little break so we joined the guys who managed to get us all an empty couch that really doesn't fit all of us even though Nathan and Ethan aren't even here.

I don't know if it's the alcohol in me that pushed me to do what I did next.

As Rose and Laurel both sat on their boyfriends' laps, I giggled and casually sat on Aaron's.

"Um, okay." Aaron said, chuckling, and I continued giggling.

Everything is so funny. I wonder why it's called funny not fanny.

"Do you know why it's called funny and not faaaaanyyy." I asked Aaron, not even glancing at his face.

"No clue, Oreo." Aaron laughed again and I love his damn laugh.

"On a scale of one to ten, I give your laugh a solid eleven!" I looked at Aaron, nodding in all seriousness.

Aaron grinned at me, "Thank you, Oreo."

"Why do we blush? Like what it is in your brain that tells you to blush right now because your Oreo gave you a compliment?" I asked Aaron.

"Your Oreo?" Aaron repeated.

"Sure." I shrugged and looked around casually.

"I don't know." Aaron answered and I felt him pull his arms around my waist, making me all tingly on the inside.

Then I came up with a brilliant idea, "Let's go tan, right now!" I said, standing up and pulling Aaron up with me.

"It's the middle of the night, Oreo." Aaron sighed but I didn't listen as I waved goodbye to everyone and pulled him outside with me.

"Oh my god, where is the light?" I said, looking into the sky dramatically in search of the sun.

"I think the sun is lost." I stated and Aaron is just staring at me, laughing.

"We should help find her." I whispered to Aaron and he nodded his head.

"Yeah sure, why don't we go look for her?" Aaron whispered back.

"Okay, let's go!" I screamed and Aaron laughed as he dragged me to his car.

"Stop, the neighbors will hear you." Aaron said.

"I don't care, I'm a free woman!" I screamed again and then started running away.

"God, Ellie stop." Aaron was fast enough to catch me and he wasted no time as he threw me over his shoulders.

I started giggling, "I want to run."

"You can run while we look for the sun tomorrow." Aaron responded and then dropped me once we reached his car again.

"Really." My eyes lightened up and Aaron nodded as he opened the door for me.

"Come on." He told me and I laughed as I swayed to the side.

Aaron's hand immediately shot out to hold me, "God, how drunk are you?"

"I'm not drunk, I'm Ellie!" I said and Aaron rolled his eyes because he thinks I'm joking but I'm being serious.

Who even is this 'drunk' guy, I don't know him.

"Ellie, stop, get in the car." Aaron laughed, trying to push me in.

"I'm a free biscuit!" I said, doing a twirl.

"What?" Aaron looked confused.

"I'm an Oreo!" I explained the joke proudly.

"Okay, Oreo, please get in." Aaron said but didn't wait for me to say yes as he forced me into the car.

His touch is always gentle.

I kept grinning as Aaron put my seat belt on.

"Yeah, I've got her, I'll just take her to my house, I guess." Aaron said into his phone but I don't really know what's going on as I stare intensly at my heels.

"I hate heels." I stated as Aaron shut his phone and started the car.

"Oh really." He said.

"Yes, they're uncomfortable." I said and took them off then threw them in the backseat, "Ayeeee, much better."

"I never thought I'd see this day, I don't know what to say." Aaron chuckled as he started driving.

"Where are we going!!" I laughed.

This is so funny.

"You're going to get some sleep." Aaron replied, his eyes focusing on the road.

"Okay!" I shrugged, laughing again.

Aaron glanced at me with a smile.

"You don't like to drink, you're boring." I said to Aaron.

"No, my mom is an alcoholic, that's probably why." Aaron mumbled but I didn't understand.

"Brad said he likeeees me todaaaay but I know he just waaaaants to hook up." I love stretching out every word.

"What?" Aaron said.

"He be crushing, he be rude." I said in a rap sort of tune and started laughing again.

Aaron shook his head only and continued driving.

I managed to stay silent for the remaining of the ride but then I burped accidentally.

"Oops!" I said and started laughing again.

"This is the best day of my life." Aaron laughed too.

"We're here, don't move." Aaron commanded me and I nodded my head, he's kind of hot when he speaks like that.

He got outside the car to my side and opened the door for me, "You're too bossy," I said as Aaron pulled me outside and held me bridal style, "ooh I'm Aaron and I keep holding hot girls."

"Yeah, I'm holding the hottest girl right now." Aaron chuckled as he closed the car door with his leg and walked us into some building that seems familiar.

"Stop making me shy." I whined and put my head on his chest.

"Why are you carrying me, I can waaaaalk." I whined again.

"No you can't, you're too drunk and you're refusing to wear your heels too." Aaron said as he clicked the elevator button.

"Okaaaay." I said, my head starting to spin a little.

We finally reached a door and Aaron dropped me but kept his hold on me.

"You can't make any noise okay." Aaron warned me before opening the door.

"Stop being bossyyyyy." I rolled my eyes with a giggle.

"If you make a sound, the sun will be scared and won't ever come back." Aaron said and I widened my eyes in fear.

"Oh my god, okay." I whispered and walked silently next to Aaron into the house.

Aaron took me to a room but I wasn't aware where as I kept on stumbling everywhere.

After we got in and Aaron closed the doors, he told me to sit on his bed.

"Is this your room, Aaron Owens?" I asked, looking around.

"It sure is, Ellie Rosell." Aaron replied as he rummaged through his drawer for something.

I laughed at his reply as he pulled out a plain white hoodie.

"Wear this, I'll get you some water, don't go anywhere, okay?" Aaron told me, handing me the hoodie.

"Okay." I shrugged, not really knowing what he's talking about.

About a minute later, Aaron came in with a glass of water but found me lying on the floor in laughter.

"What's wrong with you?" He asked as he started laughing too.

"I can't unzip my dress." I giggled, covering my eyes.

Aaron sighed, "I'll help you."

Aaron sat on the floor behind me and unzipped my dress from the back.

"You're making my heart beat reaaaaallyyyy fast!" I said and turned to look at Aaron.

He chuckled, "Put this on, Oreo." He said, handing me the hoodie and turning his head to the wall.

I took my dress off and put Aaron's hoodie on that was too big for me and reached just an inch above my knees.

"You can look now." I giggled and then noticed the smell wafting from the hoodie. It's Aaron's smell.

"You're the cutest thing in the world, I swear to god." Aaron mumbled, making me blush instantly.

"Come on, Oreo." Aaron said, helping me get in bed.

"Drink some water please." Aaron said, handing me a glass of water.

"Oookay boss." I said and took a sip.

"Drink all of it." Aaron said.

I tried to drink the rest but only drank half the glass at the end.

"I'm full." I said, handing the half filled glass of water back to Aaron.

"Okay." He placed the glass back on his nightstand and then pulled the covers over me.

"Wait let me get this.." Aaron said, leaning over me to get his charger that was on the other side of the bed.

Our faces were so close now, I could see every detail on his face.

Aaron noticed that too as he stared at me and leaned down a little more.

"Please kiss me." I whispered suddenly, not thinking about what I'm saying.

Aaron took a deep breath in as he leaned down even more.

But before his lips could catch mine, he pulled back and I pouted.

"You don't know how much I want to kiss you, but you're drunk and I would never take advantage of you." Aaron said, standing up.

"I don't know what do you mean." I said with a yawn as my eyes started fluttering close.

Before I could fall asleep, I heard Aaron whisper, "Goodnight Oreo."
