A/N just wanted to let you know that if you read the title of the chapter aloud or carefully, it'll rhyme.
Chapter two, I just knew.
Anyways, on the with the story :
Chapter 2 : I just knew..
____________________________
So far, nothing happened.
I guess Aaron's friends are nice enough to not tell everyone about the man I supposedly killed.
Or maybe he's just a decent human and didn't bother bringing it up because it's not a big deal to do something nice.
You're too judgmental Ellie, you never even spoke to the guy, grow up.
"Like why would she say that?"
"Huh?" I replied to whatever Rose said.
Rose sighed. "Every time I tell you something, I find you not concentrating, are you doing it on purpose to annoy me, did I do something wrong?"
I laughed "No! I'm just thinking."
"About what?" Rose asked.
"If I tell you, you have to promise me not to squeal, scream, fangirl, walk, or anything else, okay?" I know Rose, she'll do everything I just asked her not to do.
"Whatever." Rose rolled her eyes.
"Okay, so like, remember when yesterday I told you my parents couldn't go to the grocery store so I had to go instead?" Rose nodded "Well," I continued, "I got into a car, supposedly my Ubers, turns out I got into the wrong car."
"Okay?" Rose chuckled "So what? It happens, I did it once too."
Rose manages to simplify the most awkward situations, and I can't decide if that's a good quality or not.
"Yeah, into a car with a mom and her little girl, not Aaron Owens's car." I replied.
Rose gasped.
Squealed.
Stood up, walked back and forth.
Screamed "OH MY GOD OH MY GOD OH MY GOD."
And then finally sat back down.
I just knew she'll do absolutely everything I asked her not to.
At this point some people were staring at us, can't blame them, Rose is really loud.
"Wait, you're kidding right? April fools joke, right?" Rose said with a big smile on her face.
I sighed, annoyed at her overreacting, "Rose, it's August."
"Oh" Rose said, before screaming again, "Oh my god, you're so lucky, how did it go? Did he hold your hand? Macy told me he has hand fetish-" I cut Rose off before she can complete her delusions.
"Jesus chill, let me explain." I said.
When I went on, Rose had a look of shock on her face, "You just went home with a stranger?"
"Yeah.." I replied, shamefully.
And that's how I spent the rest of lunch break, telling my crazy, delusional best friend about my car ride with Aaron Owens.
Let's just say, I regret telling her.
**************************************
I was now, so heartbreakingly, walking to calculus class.
Pray for me.
Not only do I suck at math, Aaron takes that class with me. Along with many more, trust me.
That's how miserable my life is.
The second I walked in, I made eye contact with him, unintentionally, and he only smiled.
Do not awww because it isn't a cute I-like-you smile.
It's more of a I'm- planning- something- really- evil- to-do-to-you smile.
Maybe he's still shocked from yesterday?
But I mean, so am I. And I'm not smiling at him like a creep.
I sit two desks behind Aaron, there's a boy who sits in the one between us.
And right now I genuinely can not be more thankful for this boy because without him, Aaron would have an easier access to me and would probably turn around to say something like, "I told everyone you murdered your parents and they believe me."
I do not want that happening.
As I'm walking past Aaron, he kept staring at me all the way.
Please stop looking at me, please stop looking at me, please stop looking at me.
I can't help it, I get anxious when someone keeps looking at me, especially a hot guy.. Seriously, he's breathtaking.
Snap out of it Ellie for godssake.
The rest of the class went as usual. Boring, painfully slow, you know, nothing new.
And I was out of class super fast as soon as the bell rang.
I'm finally going home. I can finally watch Stranger Things peacefully.
"Hey Ellie." Aaron freaking Owens said to me.
He literally popped out of nowhere.
Act cool, so what if a hot guy says hey to you?!
"Umm, Hi?" I said but it came out more as a question, because I have no idea what he would want from me.
See, Aaron and I never talked. In fact, I don't think he knows I go to school with him.
He probably thought yesterday that I'm someone he never saw across the hall.
"I told Sebb about you jumping in my backseat and begging me to take you home with me." Aaron said, shrugging his right shoulder.
I gasped.
I KNEW IT.
Sebb is that one bitch who shares anything interesting that happens, you know like gossip, drama, to the whole school. He has a very boring life, if you ask me.
And Aaron, the idiot, had the audacity to lie to him about yesterday, so now every one knows about it. About me. Which I do not like.
Atleast he did not tell everyone about you murdering someone, right? Calm down, calm down, calm down.
I guess Aaron noticed me going pale and panicking as he said with a somewhat concerned look, "I was just joking, calm down."
Oh.
"Are you sure?" I asked, before realizing how pathetic that sounds.
"I mean you better be." I added, with a sinister smile.
Ha, way better.
Aaron chuckled, shaking his head.
That damn little dimple.
"I am, I do not like that Sebb guy anyways." Aaron said.
"Ugh, me either." I replied.
"No, but really, I wanted to tell you that you dropped these on your way out." Aaron said, handling me a couple of my notes from like every class I took today.
Thank god he noticed the notes.
"Oh, thank you so much." I said and reached out my hand to take them, before I was stopped.
"Not so fast sweetheart." Aaron said and raised the notes above his head.
I can not reach it, being five three, while he's six feet god knows what.
"What do you mean?" I asked, clearly irritated.
Is he serious?
"Think about it, I drove you home yesterday, and I picked your notes that slipped from your bag, don't you think I deserve something in return?" He said, smiling.
Again, is he serious?
"Wow, I didn't know being a decent human these days comes with a price." I replied, getting angrier by the second.
"It doesn't in all cases, but definitely in mine." He shrugged, smirking.
"Look, almost everyone left and I'm tired and wanna go home, so maybe, get to the point?" I said, huffing as I pulled on my bag's strap really hard to tighten it around my shoulder. I'm really angry now.
Who does he think he is?
"Okay, so I'll give you the notes now, if you promise me you would do my math homework today." He said, smiling sickeningly sweetly.
I snorted, "What are we, second graders?"
"I was just joking." He said.
"You joke too much and it isn't even funny." I snapped.
"Whatever you want, but I need you to tutor me." He said.
I thought about it for a second.
"Absolutely not, now give me my notes." I replied quickly, extending my hands to take them.
He's acting like we're best friends when he never even noticed me. I don't know what makes him think he's entitled to a favor from me.
"I won't give you your notes unless you tutor me." He said, a teasing look on his face, and still holding the notes above his head.
Isn't his arm in pain by now?
Not everyone is like you Ellie, some people workout, you know?
"You know what, you can have my notes, bye." I forced myself to say, with a fake smile and walked away.
I really need these notes as they are super important, but I can't just tutor a stranger!
But you went into his car willingly yesterday..
Well yeah! But still.
"Wait." Aaron stopped me, immediately appearing by my side, again.
"What?" I sighed.
"Just think about it, I want you to help me with chemistry, since Miss Nicole is always praising you and your good grades, and I'll help you with calculus and physics, I know you struggle with those." Aaron reasoned with me.
I narrowed my eyes at him, "How do you know I struggle with those, are you stalking me?"
"Trust me, I'm not," Aaron chuckled, " I saw the teacher handling you your tests multiple times and they're always C's and D's, also, you never give in homeworks."
It's true, I'm always arguing with my teachers, and losing marks on my homeworks.
This time I really thought about it.
I mean mom did tell me that if I don't get my grades up, she'll let her friend who's really good at Math teach me.
I can't get my grades up, and I don't want an adult to tutor me, I'm awkward enough with people my age being friendly towards me, never mind an adult with two kids my age.
"Ugh. Fine, I guess." I groaned, scared I will regret the decision for the rest of my life.
Aaron smiled and handled me my notes back, finally.
"But you can't cross the lines, and you can't keep on annoying me." I said, pointing my finger at him as I then placed my notes inside my bag.
"Sure." Aaron shrugged.
"Oh and if you don't actually turn out to be good at it, and I fail because of you, we stop talking immediately, I'll even avoid eye contact." I said, crossing my arms to look strong headed even though I'm not.
"Okay okay, so when shall we start?" Aaron asked.
"Um, next week? My house? Since you already know the address." I suggested, even though I haven't asked my parents yet and they won't be too happy with me not asking them to have a random boy home.
Guess I'll just have to pretend to be friends with Aaron.
Ughhhhhhhh.
"Perfect." Aaron smirked and started to walk away.
Wait a second.
"Wait, Aaron."
"Yes, sweetheart?"
"First of all, stop calling me that, what the hell, and second of all, I never told you my name yesterday, how did you call me by it earlier?" I asked, getting creeped out at this point.
"I just knew." Aaron said smirking, that I wanted to punch him and wipe that smirk off his face.
What a creepy jerk.
A hot creepy jerk, that is.
"What do you mean you just know?"
"Well, let's just say, there's alot you don't know about me, Ellie." He said, putting emphasis on my name to make his point clear, before walking away.
