Chapter 25 : "You ate twelve donuts in two days?"

"Listen, Rose, Iris, Jasmine, whatever you are." I said sassily as Rose narrowed her eyes at me and Laurel laughed.

"We're going to that goddamn place and I'm getting these goddamn donuts again." I stated.

Rose crossed her arms and started, "Listen to me, Ellie Rosell-"

Rose didn't get that far into her threat as Aaron cut her off and looked at me, "I bought you like twelve donuts..."

"Your point?" I tried to look away.

Aaron didn't say a thing.

"You ate twelve donuts in two days?" Laurel asked, surprised.

I don't understand why they're surprised. I'm a hormonal teenager who's in need of nutrition.

I'm not sure donuts are healthy. But, it's the same thing.

"Maybe.." I said and then added as Aaron gasped, "maybe not?"

Everyone remained silent and just looked at me.

Eventually I got sick of it and snapped, "Oreo donuts. They're Oreo donuts for godssake."

"But how can you eat so much.." Laurel said, "I don't know, sugar in two days?"

I swallowed, "We need some sugar in our age." I crossed my arms like I said something smart.

"Yeah no, I think you misinterpreted that idea." Rose said.

I opened my mouth in shock, "I did not, it's just.."

Aaron is just standing there, looking at me, laughing.

"What's so funny?" I asked, pissed off.

"Nothing." Aaron replied, still lowkey laughing.

I raised my brows waiting for him to be a reasonable human being for once.

"You know.." Aaron said nervously and then he looked behind me, "Oh! Here comes the rest of the .. thing we have going on here."

Laurel laughed as Nathan, Ethan, Steve, and Joey approached.

Joey hugged Laurel as usual.

After their last argument, he's been extra soft and loving towards Laurel.

It's cute and cringy, that's all I know.

"How did y'all even know we're here?" I rolled my eyes.

I don't even know why I'm pissed off.

Like, I legitimately just woke up in a bad mood.

"Rose texted us saying it's an appropriate occasion to mock Ellie, so here we are." Ethan said, standing next to Rose.

Rose glared at Ethan as she said, "You weren't supposed to say that!!"

"Oh.. right." Ethan said.

Rose just shook her head until her eyes landed on me as I was glaring at her.

"Um.." Rose started but I cut her off.

"Save it." I said as I turned around and began walking away.

Before I got two steps in, Steve pulled me back by grabbing my backpack strap.

I got back to where I was, laughing.

"You're so dramatic!!" Joey said.

I shrugged my shoulders, "Y'all still call me your friend."

Everyone looked at me waiting for me to say something they don't know.

"I meant that I still win." I exclaimed, brushing my hair off my shoulder.

"Sooo.. what are we mocking her about?" Nathan asked, looking at Rose, Laurel, and Aaron.

"I'll tell you guys, but don't y'all need food first?" Laurel said, already making her way to the cafeteria.

Lunch started like three minutes ago, I don't know why we're wasting it.

We all followed Laurel to the cafeteria and took our usual seats.

And then everyone started mocking me about the donuts, Ethan literally tweeting about it, which I still don't know why they're making it a big deal.

All of the sudden, Aaron touched my arm.

I looked at Aaron, smiling, "What?"

"I'll buy you sixteen next time." Aaron smiled.

I was not expecting that.

Can he stop being cute, like literally?

God, I wanna touch his hair so bad.

"Thank you.." I chuckled.

"How did you, I mean twelve?" Aaron said and when I narrowed my eyes at him, he immediately added, "I'm kidding, it's normal, I don't know why people make big deals out of everything.."

I glared at him and then looked away.

Aaron nudged my arm again, and this time Rose caught what was happening and smirked at us.

"I'll make that twenty." Aaron said.

I couldn't help but smile and look at him.

"Promise?"

Aaron laughed, "Promise."

And then everyone went silent and an idea popped in my head.

I stood up abruptly causing everyone to look at me.

I thought about it for a moment.

They're gonna say no.

Yup, I'll save the embarrassment.

"Never mind." I mumbled as I sat back down.

"Oh come on.."

"I hate when you do this."

"Don't start a thing if you don't wanna finish it."

"Ugh, seriously."

"SHUT UP!!" I exclaimed.

"The idea is stupid, everyone will say no, let's not waste our time." I explained, taking a bite of my sandwich.

"Ellie." Steve practically growled.

"Hmm?" I replied chuckling.

Steve only raised his brows.

I took another bite from my sandwich.

Everyone is glaring at me.

My god, they're so annoying!

"I was gonna say let's have a sleepover but my parents won't agree and neither would yours and it's not happening and life is boring." I finally said, looking at my sandwich.

She's so beautiful. My sandwich.

"Oh my god, we totally should!!" Laurel said suddenly.

"We can do it, you, me, and Rose on Friday!" I told Laurel smiling.

"Excuse us?" Joey said.

"What?" I replied.

"What about us?" Nathan said narrowing his eyes.

I snorted.

"I'm sorry boys, but not one of our parents would agree to put hormonal teenagers in a house alone for a night so..." I shrugged my shoulders.

"We can ask." Rose said.

I'm surprised they're not making fun of me.

Oh my god, did my many years of being socially awkward and away from the world pay off right now?

Did god decide that poor Ellie deserves some friends?

Because I totally like this!

"Okay, we'll discuss more of it today." Laurel said, glaring at Joey and Nathan.

Laurel meant we'll discuss it on our group chat but Nathan and Joey are those two people in the group who watch silently but never interact.

"What do you have now?" Aaron asked me.

Lunch is almost over and I have English.

"English?" I replied.

"I'll walk you there." Aaron smiled slightly.

What?

Am I the only one who felt something?

I only muttered an "Oh." Because I didn't know what to say!

"I mean, we'll walk there because I have History and it's close to ... you know...." Aaron added nervously.

"To English class, yeah.." I finished for him chuckling.

And then the bell rang.

Aaron stood up and smiled at me, "Let's go."

there's no good excuse really, I just had no motivation to write.

Also, a MAJOR writers block has hit me.

BUT I HAVE SOME NICE IDEAS IN STORE I'M READY AND I'M NOT GONNA STOP WRITING THIS BOOK.
