Chapter 24 : "I didn't freaking sign up for this!!"

"Aaron Owens, what the hell are we doing in a forest!!" I exclaimed as I looked around.

"We're going on a hike." Aaron said.

I burst out laughing but stopped when Aaron didn't say anything.

"Wait, for real?"

Aaron nodded.

"I freaking hold it in when I need to pee because I don't wanna walk to the bathroom and you're taking me on a hike?" I crossed my arms, furrowing my brows.

"Oh come on, you need some excercise." Aaron rolled his eyes and started walking.

I gasped and said, "Are you saying I'm fat?"

Aaron stopped walking and turned around, "Girls."

I glared at him, "Don't you dare pull that card because you don't wanna hear what I have to say about boys."

Aaron shook his head and then turned back around. "You coming?"

"Ofcourse not, I don't wanna go on a freaking hike right now when I could be home watching a show." I glared at the back of Aaron's head.

"Okay then, stay alone." Aaron said and at this point there's a good distance between us.

"Ugh!!" I groaned in frustration as I followed Aaron.

There's no way I'm staying alone in a freaking forest.

Aaron just laughed. The fucker.

"I didn't freaking sign up for this!!" I said, walking next to Aaron.

"You don't have much of a choice." Aaron replied.

I started breathing heavily, "God, I'm already tired."

"You're too dramatic, Ellie." Aaron rolled his eyes.

"I don't know if you noticed but that's what you're always calling me." I was the one to roll my eyes this time.

"Because it's the truth." Aaron said.

After two minutes, Aaron broke the silence. "We've been friends for so long Oreo, and I still don't know alot about you."

I laughed, "What do you wanna know?"

"Everything." Aaron smiled at me.

Why the hell did I feel my heart flutter?

"Trust me, you don't wanna know." I chuckled.

Aaron stopped walking, "Don't say that."

He looks genuinely upset.

"Okay." I smiled at Aaron and then we started walking again.

"So?" Aaron said glancing at me from the corner of his eyes.

"So." I replied, chuckling.

"What do you wanna be when you grow up?" Aaron asked me, smiling.

I rolled my eyes.

"What?" Aaron laughed.

"That's the most boring question ever, as if I know." I replied.

"You don't wanna go to college?" Aaron asked me.

"Ofcourse! College is all I'm thinking about right now, but I really don't know which direction I'm heading in." I answered.

"One Direction." Aaron joked I suppose and started laughing.

I didn't respond.

"Get it? Because you're like a fangirl and stuff." Aaron scratched his neck.

I smiled and shook my head, "You're cute."

Aaron didn't say anything so I just glanced at him. Only to find him freaking blushing.

I burst out in laughter, "No fucking way."

"What?" Aaron looked away.

"I just made the bad boy blush." I said as I did a weird little dance.

"Okay, whatever..." Aaron rolled his eyes.

I sighed, "You don't seem as bad as people claim you are though."

I know he isn't. Not like I believe what people have to say about others lol, I'm trying to make a conversation.

Did I just lol in my head?

I didn't 'Laugh Out Loud', no I 'loled'.

My god, Stan Twitter language is really getting to me.

Aaron grinned at me, "People like to speak crap that isn't true."

I chuckled, "I agree."

"I hate labels." Aaron said.

"Yeah?"

Aaron nodded his head, "Why do we have to label people based on how they look?"

"Ughhh I know, tell me about it." I shook my head.

"You know what, Oreo?" Aaron said.

"What?" I raised my brows.

"I like you when you're not making jokes, why can't you be like this all the time?" Aaron said.

We both stopped walking at the same time as I glared at him.

Aaron started laughing and then started running away.

I started chasing him yelling, "Get your ass back here right now, Aaron Owens."

"Not happening, you need more exercise, remember?" Aaron yelled back, still laughing.

Dammit, he's way too fast.

"Staap!!" I yelled back.

Eventually Aaron slowed down and I took it as my chance as I started hitting his arm repeatedly, pretending to do something.

My god, his biceps, this boy is a snack.

"My jokes are funny, asshole." I said, laughing.

Aaron laughed as he tried catching his breath "No.. they're.. not."

And then we just collapsed down till our laughter died down.

"God, this is the first time I have ran in so long, I can't feel my legs." I said.

"Ofcourse." Aaron rolled his eyes.

"What?" I laughed.

"You never move your body, you never eat healthy, and you always stay up at night." Aaron said.

"How do you know I stay up all night." I winked at Aaron.

"Ellie." Aaron replied.

I laughed, "I'm kidding." I know he knows because I'm always sending weird texts on our group chat at three in the morning when they're all asleep.

"You need to take care of yourself, seriously." Aaron stated looking me in the eye.

I can swear I felt my heart beating faster.

What's wrong with me today? It's not like he said anything that big of a deal...

"Okay." I smiled nodding.

We sat in silence for a while until Aaron broke the silence, "We should get up."

"Ughhh." I groaned as we got up. Did he have to break the silence?

"Listen, I'm done walking." I crossed my arms.

"Well then, good luck on your way back." Aaron said walking.

"That's not even the direction we came from!" I said.

"I know another way." Aaron said back.

My life sucks.

Aaron suddenly stopped and turned around.

"You really won't come?" Aaron said.

I sighed, "Not like I have a choice."

"Actually, you do." Aaron said and walked over to me.

"Huh?" I said when all of the sudden, Aaron lifted me up over his shoulder.

I kind of like his butt.

Okay, I should not be thinking that.

"Aaron!!! Don't pull this shit right now." I said, punching his back.

"Cute ass, Oreo." Aaron replied as he started walking.

"Oh god, this isn't happening." I said.

"I thought you said you don't wanna walk." Aaron said and I know he's smirking.

"Aaron, seriously, I'm gonna get dizzy."

"Shut up, Oreo." Aaron replied.

"Aaron!!!" I whined.

"I'll put you down if you answer my question." Aaron said.

Ofcourse. He has to get something in return.

"What now!!" I replied.

"Have you been in love before?" Aaron asked.

I snorted.

"I'm serious."

"For real?" I furrowed my brows.

This position is starting to get very uncomfortable.

"Have you?"

"Ugh, Aaron, why do you wanna know?"

"I just do." Aaron replied.

I sighed. It's not like I'm gonna lose anything.

"I have."

"Now put me down." I immediately added.

Aaron put me down, finally.

"Asshole." I said.

"So do you still love him?" Aaron said.

"What if it's a she?" I raised my brows.

Aaron laughed, "So, do you still love her?"

"Naah, I hate him." I replied.

"Why?"

"Shut up, Aaron." I said laughing.

We're friends, okay, but not that close. I'm not gonna explain to him everything about my miserable previous relationship because he asked.

"We're here." Aaron said as we reached his car.

"About time." I smiled, opening the door and getting in.

After a while of driving in silence, Aaron suddenly said, "I had so much fun with you, Oreo. Thank you for agreeing to come."

I turned my head to look at Aaron as I laughed weirdly, "Hehehehehe.."

Aaron furrowed his brows as he glanced at me, "What was that?"

"I was laughing..."

"Right, okay.." Aaron shook his head.

I laughed normally this time, "For real though, I had lots of fun too, don't thank me."

Aaron smiled at me and then looked forward again as we neared my street, "Mason loves you."

And then I squealed like an idiot which startled Aaron.

Aaron glared at me as I tried to surpress my laugh, "What's wrong with you?"

"Nothing, I was just gonna say," I started making weird sounds like the ones humans do when they talk to animals for some reason, "He's so damn cute."

"Like his brother." Aaron smirked.

"Ugh, there you go with your ego." I replied.

Aaron stopped at my house.

"Get out." Aaron said seriously all of the sudden.

What?

"Huh?"

"I'm kidding." Aaron rolled his eyes as he got out of the car and I followed.

After we reached the door, Aaron just said, "Have a nice sleep, Oreo, oh, and take a shower, you smell."

I gasped loudly, "Excuse me!!"

"Kidding." Aaron put his hands up in surrender.

"Stop kidding." I said and then knocked on the door.

Aaron only laughed and stepped away, "Good night, Oreo."

I smiled at him, "Good night."

And then Aaron drove away and my mom opened the door and all I did was smile foolishly to myself all night.
