Chapter 1 : "Dude, do you ever stop?"

"Yeah mom don't worry, I should go now because I'm pretty sure my Uber arrived and is waiting outside." I say into the phone, pissed at my lack of energy to carry a few grocery bags.

"Okay, see you later then, bye." I added as I ended the call, and left the store with my grocery bags.

Normally, my parents would go to the grocery store, but they were both busy today so they asked me to go instead. I agreed because it's not like I had a choice, and I have nothing interesting to do at home.

Since both of my parents were busy, I got here with an Uber, and I'll go home the same way.

And yes, I don't really have a car yet, so Ubers will have to do for now.

I walked outside, found my Uber and got in the backseat.

"Hello." I greeted, before proceeding to tell my driver about the house address.

However, I couldn't really do that because as the driver turned around to face me, I realized that Oh! It's Aaron Owens.

OH MY GOD

I accidentally got into Aaron Owens's car.

I hate my life.

He looked at me, shocked at first, before saying with a classy smirk, "Well, hello to you too, you could've atleast told me you wanna go home with me."

He thinks he's being funny, but that's just pure stupidity. I wish I said 'not cool bro', but I didn't.

"Uhh no, thank you," I stuttered nervously as I searched for words that would make sense "You see, I was supposed to be heading home with an Uber but I got into your car accidentally, I'm so sorry, it was nice to meet you, bye." I ended up saying, all too fast, nervously may I add, and then I opened the car door and got out.

Why did I not check on my phone if my Uber was here. Why did I have to rely on my assumptions? Cars could be similar but it doesn't mean anything. What was I thinking?

I mean that is Aaron. The hottest guy I've ever seen. Everyone else thinks so too.

I've heard so many rumors about him teaching yoga classes for a living and about him working as a chef somewhere in India in the summer. Ofcourse, I've heard he's gay too. Eh, all the cute ones are. I also heard he's a player.

You know, the cliche players. Messes with girls, claims he loves them, and then dumps them after he gets what he wants.

I don't believe the rumors, and I've never personally seen any girl hurt by him, but judging by what he said to me about going home with him, he sounds like a disgusting person that I don't want to talk to which is why I left the car so fast.

"I'm so stupid, dammit Ellie!" I mumbled quietly to myself.

I walked to a bench lying near the grocery store as I was waiting for my stupid Uber driver to make it, and tried to take in how embarrassing that was.

I tried stealing a glance at Aaron's car because I could see him from the corner of my eyes, still in his car doing absolutely nothing, and I caught him staring at me with a look of amusement on his face but at the same time, it looks like he is thinking about something, not that I care.

Eventually, I stopped stealing glances at the super hot guy that goes to my school and I started checking Instagram.

A picture of shirtless Shawn Mendes just popped in my face.

OH IM GEE THIS BOY IS BOYFRIEND MATERIALS!

Seriously, why is it taking him so long to propose to me?

Stop being harsh, the boy is probably just shy.

I kept scrolling through my Instagram when I realized that I've been here for fifteen minutes.

Where the fuck is the damn Uber driver?!

I decided to get another one when I felt a hand on my shoulder.

I jumped slightly and raised my head to find myself looking at Aaron's face.

Oh god, I'm gonna swoon!

Don't swoon, don't swoon, don't swoon.

"Umm, excuse me?" I said, trying really hard not to swoon and keep it together. Aaron is really hot, and lowkey intimidating. He's got piercing eyes and all.

"You've been sitting here for fifteen minutes now and I figured you need a ride home." Aaron answered calmly, with a slight smirk.

I'm trying to see his point, but I'm really failing right now.

"I'm gonna pretend like the fact that you paid attention to me and how many minutes I've been here isn't creepy and ask you, what's your point?" I asked, putting my phone down and trying not to check him out.

"Oh, I just thought I could give you a ride home if you'd like." Aaron replied, shrugging as if it's the most casual thing ever to drive me places.

I snorted.

Like actually snorted.

"Yeah, right." I said and started scrolling through Twitter this time.

"I'm not joking." Aaron said hesitantly after a while, and I raised my left brow at him in surprise.

Okay so apparently he is serious.

Okay Ellie, think carefully.

Can you just get into a random guy's car with him?

Probably not, that is not safe.

Okay but he doesn't seem that bad, besides it's better than old creepy Uber driver who keeps staring at me the entire ride.

Should I choose my life or riding with a hot guy?

I decided to choose riding with a hot guy. Eh, my life is boring anyways.

"Okay then." I agreed, still a bit hesitant. This can really be the dumbest decision I've ever made.

Aaron smirked. "Okay then." He repeated and walked to his car.

Oh, I should follow him.....

Okay Ellie, you got this.

I walked after Aaron to his car, opened the passenger seat and got in.

Pretty self explanatory.

Aaron got in as well and the first thing he asked me about was obviously the house address which I told him about before we fell into an awkward silence.

I thought I was going to fall asleep until, thankfully, Aaron started talking and he broke the awkward silence when all we did was steal occasional, again awkward, glances at each other and then look out the window.

"So the Uber driver didn't come, huh?" Aaron asked a stupid question that he knows the answer to.

"Yup." I replied.

"I don't blame him." Aaron said smugly.

Ouch. Did Aaron Owens just roast me?

I gasped. "What?"

"I meant that I don't blame him for not coming to pick you up because why would he want to pi-" Aaron started explaining until I cut him off.

"I understood your joke, dumbass." I said, trying to search through my brain for a good comeback but failing.

Aaron looked at me, with his jaw dropping, pretending to be shocked and said "Oh, it wasn't a joke."

I opened my mouth to speak but I realized there is no need to so I just settled for looking out the window again.

"What did you want to say?" Aaron asked.

"Huh?" I responded lamely, still looking out the window.

"You wanted to say something but then decided against it, what was it?" Aaron asked again.

This time nothing stopped me from replying with "I was just thinking about how stupid I am for agreeing to go on a car ride with you when I could've gotten another Uber."

Aaron motioned for me to 'hold on' by pointing one finger up at me and then he stopped the car on the side of the street.

He pulled his phone out.

Oh my god. I can feel the danger of this situation in my bones.

He's probably calling his boss that gave him money just to kidnap me and now he wants to assure his stupid boss who is a forty years old guy that he's got me in the car and oh my god, shall I scream or just open the door?

I was gonna open the door before "Why the fuck you lying, why you always lying, oooh oh my god, stop fucking lying" started playing from Aaron's phone.

"This is my response, plain and simple." Aaron said, smiling innocently at my annoyed face.

This is simple? Can he not see how much over the top that was?

"I'm seriously speechless." I said, getting more at loss for words by the minute.

I thought I was a savage person, apparently I'm nothing compared to Aaron.

"So, do you have any words to say right now?" Aaron asked another stupid question because I just told him I'm speechless.

"Just drive me home." I chuckled as Aaron stopped the song, shaking my head but calming down.

I mean I have to admit he earned just a tiny little bit of my respect by doing that. It was funny.

I mean I listen to that song when I just want something to jam to.

Two seconds later, I'm nervous as shit and rethinking all of my life choices, especially the last one. The last one being coming anywhere near this guy.

What if Aaron told everyone in school about this?

Him, being the arrogant ass, will probably twist the story.

You see, I work really hard on not getting noticed.

Not really, it is some pretty easy work that requires having one friend, sticking your head in books and keeping your eyes on your phone all the time.

But now, all this har- , easy work will be gone when Aaron tells every person in school about this.

Again, not really. He'll probably tell the people known as his friends and BOOM.

Everyone knows.

I'm screwed.

What if he ran around telling everyone we hooked up! Or worse! What if he made up a story about me murdering an innocent person and then asking him to bury the person with me, and now he doesn't know how to inform my parents I'm a threat for their lives in the house?

I mean anyone who'd believe that is pure stupid, but no one would believe me, so.

"We're here." Aaron said, snapping me out of my thoughts, causing me to jump slightly, again.

"Oh, Thanks for the ride, I really appreciate it." I said grabbing the grocery bags from the backseat to finally get out.

"Jesus though, How deep in thought were you that you just completely zoned out?" He asked smugly. More like, annoyingly.

Jerk.

"Shutup, and stop making it hard to thank you." I said, narrowing my eyes at him.

"No really, I mean, it's okay to think of how hot I am but don't go to extreme levels that makes it creepy." Aaron said, smiling slightly, and I couldn't help but notice the little dimple by the corner of his mouth.

Wow Ellie, You really are a creep.

"That's rich coming from you." I said, shaking my head, as I opened the car door. Aaron widened his eyes at what I said but I had enough and didn't give him a chance to response as I left hastily.

"Goodbye." I added.

First time talking to him and I already wish I graduated before I ever got to.

"Bye. Make sure to write down all your dreams about me so you won't forget them." Aaron said, earning a glare from me before adding, "Which I doubt you will."

"Dude, do you ever stop?" I asked, frustrated.

"Stop what?" Aaron replied innocently.

"You know what, never mind." I said and left the car, walked up the porch to the house not looking back to see if Aaron left or not.

However, after I got into the house and locked the doors, I heard the sound of his car moving.

He waited for me to get in the house.

No he probably didn't. He just happened to start the car and leave after I got in. Or maybe he's a good person, who knows.

Well, let's just hope I won't be very popular, with a bad reputation may I add, tomorrow when I go to school.
