Chapter 18 : Aaron is fucking hot, point blank.

******************************************

This is starting to get annoying.

Who am I kidding? It's always been this way.

Why do we have to have so many tests? One after the other, I barely have time to function!

I have a calculus test tomorrow, I promised myself to study it since the beginning of the week, but ofcourse, I procrastinated.

I'm so confused.

I understand some of it because for the first fifteen minutes in class I was concentrating and then before I knew it, my mind drifted off to other things.

Like books and celebrities and 'oh my god, I wish I can be in a Wattpad book and fall in love with Blake Eaton'.

I'm so stupid, Why can't I understand Math?

You're not going to get anywhere in life if you can't solve equations.

Yay! I'm gonna fail at life!

Can't wait to live alone with five dogs and watch Netflix constantly when I'm forty.

Shit.

How will I go to school like this tomorrow? I don't understand anything. I'm gonna fail.

I'm gonna be the only idiot in class who isn't solving anything and I might even cry, who knows?

Oh my god. I'm so pathetic. I'm deadass crying right now.

I'm just seriously worried and overthinking.

I really think I'm mentally messed up because the first thing that came to my mind in the middle of my crisis moment is recording a video of me crying and whining and sending it to our group chat.

I basically filmed myself crying in a dog filter saying "I can't do this anymore, this is too much, Math is just a bitch."

They're all sending me a bunch of laughing emojis, but not one of them told me 'it's gonna be okay'.

*Y'all are fake friends, why arent u calming me down instead of making jokes about this* I texted the dumbasses.

Ethan is literally making a meme out of this.

He's all like :

Me when mom wakes me up to go to school.

Me when I need to pee but there's no bathroom nearby.

Me when I have to clean my room.

Rose is just saying 'ur dumb Ellie' over and over again.

Joey and Nathan didn't see the text yet.

Aaron is being silent about it.

Laurel said 'How am I friends with you'.

Oh my god, they don't understand.

This is it, no one will ever understand me and I'll die alone in the corner.

This is serious, I'm so scared, I don't know what to do.

I tried, I really tried to understand and solve, but I can't seem to get any answer right.

And then Aaron called me.

"Hello?" I answered.

I guess Aaron immediately caught on my crying voice as he laughed and said, "Oh my god, you're actually crying."

I rolled my eyes, "Really? Shocking."

"No really, Oreo, I'm coming over."

"What? Why?" I said and then realized that sounded rude, "I mean, you can come if you want to, I'm just surprised and I just made this awkward and I hate my life."

"Dear god Ellie, shut up." Aaron laughed, again.

"Don't shut me up!"

Aaron sighed, "Listen, I'm gonna come help you with studying."

"Really?"

"Yes," Aaron said, "We were supposed to study together anyways since Monday but I didn't show up, so it only makes sense that I come now."

"Oh, you don't have to."

"No, don't worry, I'll be there." Aaron stated.

"Okay." I hung up, smiling.

"IF ONLY YOU SAW WHAT I CAN SEE."

This song never gets old.

"YOU'LL UNDERSTAND WHY I WANT YOU SO DESPERATELY, RIGHT NOW-"

And then I heard someone screaming.

"Aaaaah!" I yelled, dropped my brush that I use as a mic whenever I want to sing and turned around.

Aaron just burst out laughing.

I only glared at him, "You fucking scared me!"

"Should've .... seen... your face..." Aaron said in between his laughter.

"Shutup, I literally felt my heart jump out of my chest." I don't know what that means but I said it anyways.

"You were just crying half an hour ago." Aaron said, legit wiping a tear off his eyes.

What's so funny about walking in on a girl doing a concert in her room, using a hair brush and doing hair flips and then screaming and dropping her brush?

Never mind, it's all funny. I probably did some really weird expression while I was at it too.

"So? I'm in a better mood now." I shrugged.

"Ofcourse you are, after you got the chance to see me today even after school." Aaron said, sitting down on my bed.

I glared at him, again. "Ha ha, I'm only happy because there's a chance I'm not gonna fail, not because of you."

"Yeah, right." Aaron smiled sarcastically.

I sighed sitting down next to Aaron, "Did mom let you in?"

"Yes, so what do you not understand?" Aaron cut to the point, opening the book.

"Umm," I smiled nervously "All of it."

"Oh.." Aaron raised his eyebrows "That's great."

"Thanks, I know." I replied sarcastically.

"Okay, so from the beginning?"

"Yes." I nodded.

It only took us two hours. At the beginning I didn't understand anything and I kept getting distracted by anything.

Literally anything.

Like my desk. I just stared at it.

The wall, Aaron's smell, et cetera.

Aaron got mad with me and promised me that if I focus properly, he'll buy me icecream and take me somewhere special.

At first, I snorted and told him that's extremely cliche.

But then he assured me that there really is a nice place he knows that he goes to every time he's stressed out and he'll really take me there.

Plus I'd love me some free icecream.

So I focused and I did well.

Which led us to here, Aaron's car.

It took us about fifteen minutes convincing my parents, Aaron had to assure them fifty times that we'll be back in two hours, if not less.

They argued with us at the beginning because it's a school night and it's eight p.m. which I guess is late for a school night.

Eventually, they agreed. Obviously.

Aaron has stopped at an icecream truck that is always parked next to a park near our house and we got icecream.

Thirty minutes and alot of pointless arguments later, we made it.

"Gosh Aaron, this is so cliche." I laughed, looking around at a forest pretty much.

"Oh come on, who cares?" Aaron laughed slightly getting out of the car.

I followed him and started talking, "This is around the part that I ask you if you're trying to kill me and you're all like 'oh come on, if I were to kill you, I'd do it somewhere else.' "

Aaron laughed, "Says who?"

"Says every book ever!!" I exclaimed.

Aaron led the way and he was using his phone's flashlight because it was kind of dark.

The place is damn scary, to be honest.

Oh my god, I'm stupid.

How did I agree to go with Aaron to a place alone?

I know he isn't a bad guy or anything but it's still scary to go with a guy I've only known for about a month and a half.

Or maybe it's just me.

"Boom, we're here." Aaron stopped walking.

"Wow." Was the first thing I said.

The place isn't that extraordinary, but the reflection of the full moon on the lake, with the little bit of wind gusting around the stars and the trees, it's beautiful.

"Here is where I sit." Aaron pointed at the ground basically where there is just grass.

It looks clean though, kind of, so naturally I just sat down next to Aaron.

"You always come here?" I asked Aaron, staring at the sky that looks amazing right now.

"Just when I'm stressed out, my mom used to take me here all the time when I was young." Aaron replied, smiling a little bit.

"Oh, that's nice." I said.

"Do the guys come here too?" I asked, referring to Nathan, Joey, Ethan, and Steve.

"No, I told them there's a secret place I go to, and took pictures of it and they wanted to come here but I didn't tell them where the place is." Aaron explained.

"Why?" I laughed looking at Aaron.

"Because we're second graders as fuck, and I tease them like that." Aaron shook his head, laughing.

"Pretty mature if you ask me." I said.

"Yeah, for sure." Aaron grinned and then we sat in comfortable silence.

It's really comforting.

Going out and just admiring nature that everyone often takes for granted, breathing some fresh air, it's all just comforting. Truly helps with the stress.

Wait, does this mean I'm the only one Aaron's got here before?

Ooooooooh, I'm practically living in a book at this point.

You wish.

"Am I the only person who you brought here?" I asked Aaron.

Aaron too his glance off the water, "Yes." he said, putting his hand through his hair and looking away nervously.

Is he shy?

That's funny, hot Aaron Owens getting shy because of a boring girl like myself.

"How come?" I grinned.

"Well," Aaron took a breath before explaining, "You were really worried, you cried for godssake, so I thought a place like this could relax you."

I felt my heartbeat go faster.

It isn't that big of a deal, I know, but just the fact that he cares, it's really super nice.

"Oh, thank you so much, I really appreciate that." I exclaimed, smiling at Aaron.

Aaron finally looked at me and smiled back.

"Anytime."

The dim light of the moon covered half of Aaron's face and from this close I can see the color of his eyes looking darker than usual.

Why am I stuck with brown eyes while other people's eyes change from green to grey according to the light?

And his lips, they're so full and look so soft from here.

His jawline, damn that shit could cut my hand.

His hair looks messier than usual, like he's ran his hand through it multiple times.

Damn, how much I wish I can run my hand through it.

I love it when a guy's hair is like that, dark and sticking out in every direction, it's perfect.

Aaron is fucking hot, point blank.

Just putting it out there.

"Take a picture, it'll last longer."

"Huh?" I said and realized that I've been staring at Aaron for too long.

Aaron only laughed. The little fucker.

I felt myself blushing and looked away.

Oh my god. What the hell? I never blush. I didn't even think blushing really happens when a hot guy says something to you, but I can feel my face heating up.

And right now I'm so thankful that it's dark and Aaron can't see my blush.

We sat like that for a while. Just staring off at the distance, clearing our heads I guess.

Somehow, my mind was thinking about the time Rose and I totally spent fifth grade wearing matching outfits, and then the year after, every kid made up rumors about us dating.

Not that I minded or cared.

My thoughts were cut off, however, when Aaron said, "You know, Oreo, you can always tell me when you need help with something like that, don't cry or worry, okay?"

"I guess, I'm sorry, I know I'm an idiot and literally cry over everything, but I was just worried and stressed out, I kind of had a bad day, you know?" I told Aaron.

Aaron nodded understandingly. "That's okay, you're not an idiot, I just mean, don't be afraid to call me when it comes to Mathematics, I know you're stupid and don't unders-"

"That doesn't make sense, one second you say I'm not an idiot and the other I'm stupid!!" I said, confused.

Boy's gotta make up his mind.

Aaron just smiled at me. "You're an idiot, but in a good way."

"A good way?" I repeated.

"Yes." Aaron stated.

And then we realized that we should probably get home since my parents are waiting for me.
