Chapter 14 : I'm just pushing this ship like everyone else.

After a long boring week, it's finally Friday and we're having a movie night at Steve's house.

Steve invited us over claiming it's a celebration since Aaron and I passed the chemistry test which I was bound to pass one way or another because I love chemistry.

Aaron though believes it's all thanks to him because he gave me the questions.

I think he passed all thanks to me because I tutored him well.

So an argument is going on right now about that.

Pretty typical if you ask me.

"Look Oreo, all you have to do is thank me and it'll be over."  Aaron said to me.

"Look Aaron-"

"Please don't tell me this is about who should thank who." Steve came from the kitchen with two bowls of popcorn, groaning.

Ethan pretended to gasp sarcastically saying, "How did you know?"

I rolled my eyes, "It's between Aaron and I, stay out of it assholes."

"But you've been arguing about this since the morning!!" Laurel exasperated.

"Okay guys, just seriously tell me, who should thank who?" I asked everyone.

"Oh come on-"

"Shut up, Aaron." I demanded, putting my hand on Aaron's face to shut him up.

Aaron licked my hand.

"Ewwwwwwww." I groaned, standing up and walking over to Steve.

"Do you see what your friend is doing, he's mean and immature." I whined and Steve laughed at me.

"Aaron, honestly, Ellie is right. She's the one who's taught you, she would've aced that test without your help.." Ethan said.

"Ethan, sweetie, you're doing good." I said, smirking at Aaron.

"Ugh whatever." Aaron said, rolling his eyes.

"Ethan's right." Steve said, shrugging.

"Well." I side hugged Steve still smirking at Aaron.

"I agree with Ethan too." Nathan said, laughing at Aaron's annoyed expression.

"Me three." Joey added.

"I can't believe y'all betrayed our four years of friendship for a pretty girl." Aaron said angrily.

I did a pretty good job at pretending like him calling me 'pretty' didn't affect me at all.

What? He's really hot okay...

"Don't worry Aaron, I'm by your side." Rose said, giving a high five to Aaron.

I gasped dramatically just as Aaron smirked at me.

"I can't believe you betrayed our I lost count of how many years of friendship for Aaron, what, is it because you think he's hot or something?" I asked as if I don't think he's hot myself.

"I'm not even gonna bother denying that." Rose said as Laurel started laughing.

"I like you Rose." Aaron said, "More than Ellie."

I snorted, "Oh my god Aaron likes Rose more than me, how am I gonna sleep at night," I leaned on Steve who's still standing next to me, "hold me Steve, I'm so sad I'm gonna faint."

"Sarcastic Ellie rise." Ethan said, chuckling.

"Well Rose, is Aaron the only one you think is hot?" Steve asked Rose seriously.

"What do you mean?" Rose played dumb.

"Oh you know what he means." I said, finally taking a seat next to Ethan on the couch.

Rose only shot me a glare.

Steve raised his eyebrows at Rose waiting for an answer.

Everyone went silent. I think we all ship.

Rose blushed.

And then she didn't blush. And she answered with,  "Oh, Ethan, Nathan, and Joey are hot too."

Steve literally looked hurt.

"Whatever." He mumbled, sitting next to me causing me to be in the middle between him and Ethan.

Aaron is laughing like an idiot as he looks at Rose and says, "It's official, you're my new favorite person."

"I'm used to it." Rose said in a joking manner I believe.

"So what movie did y'all decide on?" Ethan asked.

"Let me guess," Joey said "Laurel chose a horror movie."

Laurel chuckled nervously, "Ummm, we all chose horror, right girls?"

"Right, we weren't threatened with our lives or anything." Rose replied.

I only laughed.

We started the movie, turned the lights off and started the night of horror.

The night of horror ended up being one of the funniest nights of my life.

It's impossible to watch a horror movie with Ethan and not die laughing.

The whole time, all we did was make fun of the characters.

Ethan though literally started reenacting the scenes.

In the scene where the boy gets possessed, Ethan just got up and started doing these weird moves and sounds resembling a demon I suppose.

We laughed. Really hard.

"That was the worst horror movie I've watched, thanks to Ethan." Laurel said, narrowing her eyes at Ethan.

She's the only one who didn't laugh and was annoyed at our remarks.

I think it has to do with her love for horror movies.

"Oh come on Laurel, admit it, I'm funny." Ethan said, smiling at Laurel.

"Please." Laurel replied, rolling her eyes.

"Not even when I put wax on Joey's leg while he was asleep and woke him up and recorded his pain to you because he made you upset that day?" Ethan pouted.

That's so sweet, what the hell.

Laurel laughed, "Don't worry Ethan, I love you."

"I hate you." Joey added.

"I don't care, I like Laurel more anyways." Ethan shrugged at Joey.

What's with these boys and admitting to liking someone over the other?

"Back off." Joey said, as he placed Laurel on his lap.

"Back off." Ethan mocked Joey.

Mature. I know.

"I hate to break it to you all, but I have to leave." Rose said.

"Who'll drive you?" Steve asked.

"I don't really know, I might just take an Uber." Rose replied.

"Ubers can kiss my ass." I said, referring to the fact that I got to know Aaron because of an Uber which I think is just tragic.

The guys laughed, including Aaron, knowing what I meant.

"Well I can't let you go alone with an Uber at.." Steve glanced at the clock hanging on the wall "ten thirty on a Friday night. Impossible. Not happening."

Laurel and I only looked at each other and squealed.

Steve, being somehow oblivious to the fact that everyone ships it, looked at us weirdly and then shook his head and said to Rose, "I'll drive you."

"Okay." Rose said smiling, "Even though you don't have to." She added.

"No please, it's fine." Steve said back.

"Well there's no one to drive me either so I guess Steve can drive-"

I was gonna say Steve can drive me too before both Laurel and Rose glared at me.

Steve looked at me questioningly and I just said, "Uhhh, Steve can drive Rose and I'll go with an Uber."

Damn Rose and her feelings.

"Okay, come on Rose." Steve shrugged.

Did he just?

"Wha- so you're too scared to let Rose go alone with an Uber but it's okay if I go?" I said, crossing my arms.

In reality, I'm just pushing this ship like everyone else.

He makes Rose so happy. I see it. Rose has been having a hard time at home with her parents but every time she sees Steve, she's just smiling again and that's all that matters to me.

"Atleast wait for us to leave your house before you leave it with your girlfriend." Ethan added, smirking at Steve.

"I'm not his girlfriend." Rose said, blushing just like Steve.

"Um, sorry,uhh..." Steve said nervously.

I can't believe how cute this is.

"I'll drive Ellie." Aaron said, finally speaking.

"Oh, you don't have to." I said, surprised a bit.

"It's all because of you Rose, you have a car and a license yet you can't drive us anywhere." I said, getting up with everyone else to leave.

"I don't like driving Ellie, shutup." Rose said, walking behind Steve to the door.

"Dumbass." I mumbled.

Rose looked back at me, "I heard that."

I smiled at her,  "You were meant to."

We all got out and parted to different cars. Laurel Nathan, and Joey to Joey's car, Steve and Rose to Steve's, I to Aaron's, and Ethan and himself to his.

We all said goodnight and then drove away.

I was kind of worried because my last car ride with Aaron wasn't exactly entertaining.

But we just sat in comfortable silence until we got home.

My parents are on a date.

Let's just say, I didn't think I was gonna forget my keys, and we don't normally use spare keys.

I called my parents but they're not picking up.

Aaron is just standing next to me as I try to call them again.

Shit.

OMG YALL IVE BEEN WRITING THIS FOR TWO HOURS IVE LOST TRACK OF TIME.

SORRY BECAUSE THIS IS THE LONGEST IVE GONE WITHOUT AN UPDATE BUT KEEP IN MIND I WROTE THIS NINE HOURS BEFORE MY CHEMISTRY EXAM JUST TO PUT IT UP ON NEW YEARS.
