Part 32

Freddy And Don George exchanged a glance as Ash and Remo's battle wrapped up.

"Well, that was... quick," Freddy Remarked, his tone dismissive. "Ash really made it look easy, didn't he? But now, it's time for us to move on to another showdown of a matchup.

Don George grinned, adjusting his microphone. "Exactly, Freddy. Now we've got Paul and Dino up next! This is the battle we've all been waiting for - two  powerhouse trainers, and this one's going to be anything but boring. Get ready, folks!"

The crowd roared in in anticipation as the focus shifted to the next matchup. As the crowd buzzed with excitement for the upcoming battle between Paul and Dino, Ash had already headed for the exit. He'd done what he came to do and was ready to relax and prepare for whatever was next. The gals stayed seated, eager to watch the fierce battle unfold.

"I can't wait to see Paul in action," Iris said, her eyes glued to the field. "He's always so intense."

Misty crossed her arms, nodding. "You're right. I'd rather see a battle like this than watch Ash walk around with that cocky grin of his." The girls all laughed at Misty's remark about Ash. Well, except Serena...

Paul stood confidently on his side of the field, his eyes narrowed in focus. He threw his Poké Ball high into the air. "Garchomp, stand by for battle!" Garchomp emerged, landing with a powerful thud which shook the entire arena. A low growl rumbled from its throat as it stomped the ground with its massive claws.

Across the field, Dino grinned and tossed his own Poké Ball. "Druddigon, Let's go!" With a loud roar, Druddigon appeared, its jagged blue body and sharp claws making it an imposing figure on the battlefield. Its fiery red eyes locked onto Garchomp.

Freddy's voice rang out, full of excitement. "What a matchup! Garchomp versus Druddigon! These two Dragon-types are sure to make this a battle for the ages!"

Referee Matteo, standing at the center of the battlefield, smiled warmly as he approached both trainers. He extended a hand to Paul first, then Dino, his voice calm but full of respect.

"Good luck to both of you," Matteo said, shaking their hands firmly. "May the best trainer win." Paul gave a quick nod, his gaze intense as ever. Dino, on the other hand, flashed a confident grin. With a final nod of approval, Matteo stepped back, raising his flag high. "The match will now begin! Trainers, take your positions!" The crowd murmured with anticipation, ready for the fierce battle to unfold.

"Let's see what you've got, Dino," Paul said, his voice cold but confident. "Garchomp, use Dragon Claw!"

Garchomp surged forward with incredible speed, its claws glowing with extreme energy as it slashed toward Druddigon.

Dino grinned. "Not so fast! Druddigon, dodge and hit back with Outrage!"

Druddigon twisted and darted to the side, narrowly avoiding Garchomp's attack before letting out a roar and charging at the Land shark Pokémon, its body surrounded by a fiery aura. The two Pokémon collided with a deafening clash, each one pushing the other back, showing their immense strength.

"Nice move, Druddigon!" Dino cheered. "Keep it up, don't let Garchomp take control!"

Paul remained unfazed, his eyes narrowing. "Garchomp, don't let up! Use Earthquake!"

The ground trembled as Garchomp slammed its tail into the ground, sending a shockwave rippling toward Druddigon. Dino's eyes widened, but he quickly reacted. "Druddigon, use Dragon tail to block!"

Druddigon's tail flowed with a fierce blue energy, swinging it around to meet the ground-shaking tremor. The impact sent both Pokémon skidding back, but neither one gave an inch. Garchomp was panting heavily, while Druddigon's tough scales had taken a beating.

"Not bad, Paul," Dino said, wiping sweat from his brow. "But Druddigon's tougher than you think!"

Paul's lips twitched into a slight smirk. "We'll see about that. Garchomp, use stone edge!"

With a quick movement, Garchomp summoned jagged stones from the ground, launching them at Druddigon. The rocks struck Druddigon, but it didn't go down. Instead, Druddigon retaliated fiercely with a dragon pulse, sending a massive wave of energy right toward Garchomp.

The two attacks collided midair, creating an explosion that sent dust and debris flying. Both Pokémon were left panting, showing signs of wear, but neither was ready to give up.

Dino clenched his fists. "Druddigon, one more push! Use Dragon Rush!"

Druddigon charged with incredible speed, its body surrounded by a glowing aura as it barreled toward Garchomp. Paul's eyes flickered with determination. "Garchomp, counter with Iron head!"

The two Pokémon collided again, Garchomp's head glowing silver as it smashed into Druddigon, sending the Dragon-type flying back with a heavy thud. Druddigon struggled to stand, but Garchomp was breathing heavily as well.

The Referee, Matteo, stepped forward, raising a hand. "Half-time! The battle will resume shortly!" Both trainers nodded, giving a brief but respectful glance toward their Pokémon.

Dino wiped his forehead." You've got a lot of strength in you, Paul. This is exactly what I wanted."

Paul's expression remained stoic, but a hint of respect flashed in his eyes. "I don't intend to lose, Dino."

The crowd erupted into cheers, knowing that the second half of this tense battle was about to be even more intense.

Freddy's voice rang out, brimming with excitement. "What a battle we've witnessed so far, folks! Both Paul and Dino are giving it their all, and these two Dragon-types are truly showing their strength and skill! I can hardly wait to see how this will unfold!"

Don George, standing next to Freddy, nodded enthusiastically. "Absolutely, Freddy! This is exactly why we love Pokémon battles! Pure determination, power, and strategy. It's clear both trainers have been training hard, and neither one is willing to back down.

As the break continued, Serena noticed Dawn watching Paul intently, a hint of admiration in her eyes. With a playful grin, Serena leaned over.

"So, Dawn, are you planning on cheering for Paul? Looks like you're pretty focused on him,"  she teased, her voice light and teasing.

Dawn blinked in surprise, her cheeks flushing as she quickly looked away. "W-What? No! I'm just... watching the battle, that's all!" She stammered, clearly flustered.

Serena giggled, her smile widening. This was payback for the earlier teasing about Ash. "Of course, just watching the battle... But Hey, If you want to cheer for him, I totally get it."

Dawn crossed her arms, trying to hide her embarrassment. "I'm not cheering for him, Serena! I just want to see a good battle!"

Serena gave her a knowing look, clearly enjoying the playful teasing. "Sure, sure. A good battle. I'm sure that's all it is," She laughed.

Calem, Barry, And Trip stood at the edge of the crowd watching the intense battle unfold between Paul and Dino.

"Man, this battle is crazy!" Barry exclaimed, his eyes wide. "Paul's Garchomp is unstoppable, but Dino's Druddigon is putting up one heck of a fight!"

Calem nodded, his arms crossed thoughtfully. "Both of them are incredibly skilled. Paul's calculated, but Dino's bringing out all of Druddigon's power. It's more than just brute strength - they're both playing it smart."

Trip, standing slightly back, smirked. I'm not surprised. Paul's always been a powerhouse, but I didn't expect Dino to keep up like this. I have to admit, it's impressive."

Barry chuckled, glancing at Trip. "I'm pretty sure you're rooting for Dino, huh?"

Trip shrugged, not denying it. "I like a good challenge. But Paul's always been a tough one to beat. This is anyone's game."

Referee Matteo stepped forward, raising his hand to signal the resumption of the match. "Trainers, are you ready? The battle will continue!"

Paul and Dino both nodded, their eyes locked on each other as their Pokémon prepared for the second half.

Dino grinned. "Druddigon, give it everything you've got! We're not giving up yet!"

With a roar, Druddigon charged, using Outrage once more, its body surrounded by a swirling red energy. Garchomp moved to counter with Dragon claw, slashing through the air with its powerful claws. The two attacks collided, shaking the ground beneath them. Druddigon was knocked back slightly but immediately regained its stance.

Dino's eyes narrowed, watching closely. Druddigon, use Dragon tail to push Garchomp back!"

Druddigon swung its tail with impressive speed, hitting Garchomp and sending it stumbling, but Garchomp quickly regained its footing, its eyes burning with intensity.

"Not bad," Paul said, a hint of respect in his voice. "But it's over now. Garchomp, finish it with Earthquake!"

Garchomp slammed its tail into the ground with a mighty force, sending a massive shockwave rippling across the battlefield. Druddigon tried to dodge, but it was too late. The shockwave hit hard, knocking Druddigon to the ground with a tremendous crash.

"Druddigon!" Dino shouted, his voice laced with frustration as his Pokémon struggled to rise up to its feet. It gave one last effort but couldn't continue.

Referee Matteo stepped forward, raising his flag high. "Druddigon is unable to battle! Garchomp is the winner!" The timer had just run out as well. Matteo blew his whistle signaling the end of the battle, confirming Paul's victory over Dino. 1-0

Dino took a deep breath, returning his Druddigon to its Poké Ball. He didn't look disappointed, though. Instead, he gave Paul a nod of Respect.

"That was a spectacular battle, Paul. Your Garchomp's power is insane!" Dino praised, with a smile full of respect.

The two trainers shook hands, respect and acknowledgement flowing through both of them.

Freddy adjusted the microphone, his voice booming across the stadium as the crowd erupted into cheers. "What an incredible battle we just witnessed, folks! Paul and Dino gave it their all, pushing their Pokémon to the absolute limit!"

"Ladies and Gentlemen, That is all the battle action we have for you today! We will have the last of the group stage matches out soon and then the round of 16! You won't want to miss it so stay tuned battle fans. For now, we bid you farewell!" Don George said, his voice echoed throughout the entire stadium.
