Hello Little One
Episode 7: Dorm Game Night
âIvy, pleaaase come with me,â Camila whined, dramatically draping herself over Ivyâs bed. âItâs just a little game night, not a death sentence.â
Ivy sighed, folding her arms. âI donât know⦠Iâm not exactly the competitive type.â
Lila, who was scrolling through her phone on Ivyâs desk, snorted. âThatâs a lie. You literally argued with a vending machine for five minutes last week.â
âThat was different,â Ivy huffed. âIt ate my dollar.â
Camila rolled onto her back. âCâmon, itâll be fun. Itâs just a dorm eventâsome board games, a little competition. Oh, and Elenaâs going to be there.â
Ivy froze.
Lila smirked. âAaaand there it is.â
Ivy scowled. âThat is not a reason for me to go.â
âReally?â Camila propped herself up on her elbows. âBecause Iâm pretty sure Elena loves teasing you, and you seem to love pretending you donât like it.â
Lila nodded solemnly. âTextbook denial.â
Ivy grabbed a pillow and threw it at them. âShut up.â
Camila caught it, laughing. âIvy, babe, you have to go now. Itâll be a crime to miss Elena making you blush in front of everyone.â
âI do notââ Ivy started, but Lila was already pulling her out of bed.
âToo late,â Lila announced. âYouâre coming.â
---
The common room was buzzing with energyâstudents gathered around tables, snacks scattered everywhere, and a giant scoreboard on the wall titled DORM WAR: THE ULTIMATE SHOWDOWN.
Ivy gulped.
Camila grinned. âOhhh, this is going to be chaos.â
Ivy barely had time to process before a familiar, teasing voice called outâ
âWell, well, well. Look who finally showed up.â
Ivy turned to see Elena standing with her arms crossed, smirk firmly in place.
âYou were not this excited to see me in the library,â Ivy muttered, crossing her arms.
Elena leaned in slightly. âThatâs because you werenât blushing like you are now.â
Ivyâs brain short-circuited.
Camila and Lila, standing behind her, gasped dramatically.
âOh my god,â Camila whispered. âIvy.exe has stopped working.â
Lila cackled.
Ivy shook off her embarrassment and forced herself to focus. âWhatever. Letâs just⦠play the stupid games.â
Elena chuckled, tilting her head. âOh, so youâre playing now? Guess I should warn youâI never lose.â
Ivy rolled her eyes. âWeâll see about that.â
---
The game organizer, a loud and overly excited sophomore named Max, clapped his hands.
âAlright, listen up, everyone! Tonightâs event is a mix of different gamesâcard games, trivia, some good old-fashioned charadesâbut with a twist. Youâll be paired up randomly, and you and your partner will compete together in every round. Highest-scoring team wins.â
Ivy exhaled. Okay. Random teams. Thatâs fine. That means I wonâtâ
âAnd the first pairing is⦠Ivy and Elena!â
Ivyâs stomach dropped.
The entire room let out a collective ooohhh.
Camila snorted. âThis is so rigged.â
Elena, meanwhile, looked delighted. She turned to Ivy with an exaggerated look of surprise. âOh wow, what are the odds?â
Ivy groaned. âI hate my life.â
Elena leaned in, voice lower. âYou sure about that, Little One?â
Ivyâs face burned.
---
The first game was a brutal mix of truth-or-dare and trivia, where wrong answers led to increasingly embarrassing dares.
âElena and Ivy,â Max announced. âYour questionâWhatâs the capital of Switzerland?â
Ivyâs brain emptied.
Elena smirked, clearly waiting to see if Ivy knew it.
âIâI donât know,â Ivy admitted.
Max grinned. âThen you two have to do the dare!â
Ivy braced herself.
âAlright, your dare isâ¦â Max checked the card. âElena has to whisper something in Ivyâs ear that makes her blush.â
The entire room erupted.
Camila actually fell off her chair laughing. Lila was pounding the table.
Ivy froze. âWHAT?â
Elena grinned. âWell, if itâs a ruleâ¦â
Before Ivy could stop her, Elena leaned in, lips close to her ear, and murmured something too low for anyone else to hear.
Whatever she saidâ
Ivy turned bright red.
Elena pulled back, smirking. âThat did the trick.â
Ivy buried her face in her hands. âI hate everything.â
---
Pictionary should have been easy. It should have been fine.
It was not.
The moment Ivy started drawing, Elena refused to guess the right answer.
Ivy scrawled a picture of a cat.
Elena smirked. âIs it⦠a very angry potato?â
Ivy glared. âElena.â
âA mutant squirrel?â
âITâS A CAT.â
Elena shrugged. âLooks more like a fuzzy gremlin.â
Lila and Camila were dying.
Ivy groaned. âI swear toââ
Elena finally smirked and said, âFine. Cat.â
Ding! The scoreboard updated.
Elena winked. âSee? Iâm helping.â
Ivy threw the marker at her.
Zenzy Moment: The Unexpected Softness
By the end of the night, Ivy was exhausted.
Elena, surprisingly, didnât tease her. Instead, she nudged Ivyâs shoulder lightly. âYou did good, Little One.â
Ivy blinked. ââ¦Really?â
Elena nodded. âYou survived. Thatâs impressive.â
Ivy smiled a little. âThanks. I think.â
They stood in silence for a moment.
Then Elena smirked again. âOf course, I still won more rounds than you.â
Ivy groaned. âAnd there it is.â
Elena laughed, ruffling Ivyâs hair. âBetter luck next time, Little One.â
Ivy scowled. âYouâre so annoying.â
Elena just grinned.
Camila and Lila exchanged looks.
âOh yeah,â Lila whispered. âSheâs so gone for her.â
Camila smirked. âAnd she doesnât even know it yet.â
