Jackson's POV
I was so sick and tired of me and Violet fighting, throughout the next week at school I kept on trying to talk to Violet. But it was obvious that she was ignoring me, so I went back home that Thursday evening feeling like my head was about to explode.
Violet wasn't like the annoying prissy girls in our school, she was confident, real, beautiful. She's the kind of person I could fall in love with, and I don't do dating, but with her..... It's different.
I collapsed on my bed, rubbing my eyes with defeat. She's doesn't feel the same way about me... Why do I even try when she's clearly not bothered?
I reach for my remote on my bedside table and switch on the television that hangs above my dresser in front of my bed. I flip through the channels when I land on a news channel.
I stop when I see a familiar face on the screen, the guy from the bar. The guy who said that Violet was in debt to him, that's what the files were for. She sent him to prison. I beamed, she's a seventeen year old girl and she managed to drive across the country break into an office, steal some files, and send a man to prison.
Suddenly I couldn't take it anymore, I want her. Need her. I flew out of the house, jumped into my car and drove straight to the fighting bar. When I walked in I instantly spotted her, fighting a tall burly guy. Violet pinned him to the floor and won the fight, I sprinted past the crowd to her descending figure as she walked to collect her money.
"Violet!" I say as I reach her, she jumps as she turns around.
"What?" She asks bluntly and void of emotion.
"We need to talk." I scowl, pulling her arm as I lead her into one of the back rooms. Away from all the noise. I walk into what looks like a pantry, I drag violet inside and close the door.
"Look, I'm sorry." I say, as I hold our eye contact. "Sorry for getting mad at you at the motel." I state again.
Violet holds my gaze, her eyes held a distant stare. "Fine, I'm sorry too." She finally says.
"Look, I know we haven't know each other for very long. But...." I trail off, not knowing what to say. Violet clears her throat as she rocks on her feet.
"I've gotta go." She says, turning away.
"Wait! Please Violet, I really like you" I blurt out, Violet freezes as she slowly turns around to face me again. "Uh... I... Didn't mean for-" I'm cut off as Violet throws herself against me, our lips meet and move in sync.
Violet breaks apart, "okay okay." She murmurs, as she kisses me again.
