Drizzling 🌧️

Irene's POV

Stupid Kiki sneaked out from college giving an excuse of having severe stomach ache.I won't spare her after I reach dorm. Now I'm imprisoned in this stupid detention class with this stupid quarrelsome guy Taenwang who is the champion of the stupid sports Basketball.

I pull out a notebook from my bag and initiate doodling.

"What are you drawing? Ha ha ha you drew a Tornado! Or wait! Is that you?", mocks Taenwang.

Why is he always upto mocking me??

I throw him an exasperated look.

He doesn't stop to blabber. "You deserve a treat for your extraordinary nonexistent drawing skills"

"I'm not drawing. I'm just doodling. Idiot"

"You idiot"

"You stupid"

"Brainless"

I glower at him. "Shut up or else I'm gonna throw you inside this Tornado"

"Ohoo I'm scared af. That's gonna be terrible", he says sarcastically.

A few moments later

Taenwang pocks me saying, "Hey singer"

"What? Player?"

"Let's play a game"

"Do you want to stay in detention for the rest part of this day?"

"Chill. Haven't you seen how ma'am is snoring?We won't get scolded. Let's play rock paper scissor", he insists.

He won every time as expected. I'm hopeless when it comes to rock paper scissor.

"Jeez! I won't play anymore." I say in annoyance.

"It's because you lost every time. Loser loser loser!!!", he says pocking my arms constantly using his pen.

"Ugh!! Maaaaaaaaaaaam Taenwang is disturbing meeee", I exclaim.

"Maaaaaaaaam Irene was sleeping in the class", lies Taenwang immediately.

"You jerk! Liar! Hypocrite! Asshole!", I scowl at him hitting his back using my notebook.

"Ouch! This witch is causing violence! Somebody please help" says Taenwang with a genuine smile creating a dimple in his cheeks.

I subconsciously keep staring at his dimple.

"Don't look at me like that. I feel extremely shy"

Shit

"Why would I look at you?" I mumble rolling my eyes.

After departure I come out of college and feel soft breeze blowing. As I look up at the sky I discover the clouds turned grey. The alluring cloudy sky, decent breeze along with sweet fragrance of rain let my heart to flutter. Taenwang's smile pops into my mind. I had fun with him today.

It starts to drizzle. I attempt to walk fast carrying my bag pack over my head.

At one stage rain drops stopped showering over me. An umbrella's shadow consumes me.

Someone's holding an umbrella for me. I look aside and find YaanXi my window neighbour walking beside me holding an umbrella over both of us with a light grin in his face.

"YaanXi what are you doing here!?"

"Carrying an umbrella for you in this rain"

"I can see that but why are you here in this town?"

"I'm here to visit my aunty. Gonna stay for 2-3 days"

Both of us waking in the street silently under the same umbrella. Only sound of rain drop is audible.

"What makes you arrive at our college's alley?", I ask.

"I don't know I just thought I might see you", he says dropping the zone into silence.

What would I say now? I sometimes feel like he has feelings for me.

"Does your college hour breaks at 4:00 pm everyday?" he asks.

"No I was imprisoned in extra class" I mumble.

"You were in detention? HAHAHA"

"Stop laughing. Why everyone loves to make fun of me?", I ask pouting.

"You look so cute when you are angry", he smiles before glancing away from me. "Who else makes fun of you?", he adds.

"stupid Taenwang my history class mate"

"Taenwang as in the basketball champion?!"

"You know him??!"

"He was my friend in high school"

"I see"

I sneeze.

"See you just catched cold within a few minutes", he scolds offering me a tissue.

"Thanks"

"No problem"

"YaanXi, is Taenwang your close friend?"

"We used to be good buddies" he says adding a shrug of shoulders.

"Is he arrogant??"

"No.. Why are you so much interested in him?", he asks narrowing his eyes at me.

"I'm a very curious person you know...", I stutter.

"He isn't arrogant with those people whom he loves"

"Ohh"

Right now so many questions are popping into my mind. I want to know so much about Taenwang but I won't ask. What if YaanXi gets to know I have feelings for Taenwang? He would say that to Taenwang. I don't wanna let Taenwang know about my feelings for him... His ego gonna boost up more.

Lightning strikes the entire zone. Subconsciously I let a panicked voice come out from my mouth.

"You still have fears of lightning?", asks YaanXi giggling.

I smile nervously.

Rain almost stopped after we reach dorm.

"See you later", he says.

I flash him a smile.
