Chapter 1323 Blake wondered, âIâm now pregnant with Kevinâs child. What should I do?â
She woke up groggily when she felt someone carry her. She opened her heavy eyelids and asked, âWhat time is it now?â
Liam responded, âItâs four-thirty in the morning. Itâs still early; go back to sleep for a while more.â
Blake said in a hoarse voice, âIâve made an appointment for an abortion at eight oâclock. Regardless of whether Iâm really pregnant or not, I donât want to keep this child.â
She had thought about it all night and believed this was the best decision.
Kevin was going to get engaged. Blake believed he would get married and Audrey would give birth to his children. There was simply no need for her to complicate things further.
She thought, âIf I choose to be selfish and decide to keep this baby, and if people find out about it, my child will be treated as an illegitimate child. I donât even dare to imagine how badly the child will be treated.
âIf giving birth to the baby will bring it a lifetime of pain, why should I even give birth to it in the first place?â
Liam slept with Blake for a while. When she woke up, it was already ten in the morning, which was past the appointment time for the abortion.
She freshened up and changed her clothes before walking out of the room. As Liam saw Blake coming out, he hung up the phone and approached her. âBlake, Iâve made a reservation at the restaurant.â
âIâm not going. Iâm going to the hospital.â
âBlake...â
When Blake turned around, Liam held her wrist and continued, âDo you know the way you act right now really worries me?!
Blake, I really donât mind it at all.â
Blake looked calm as she lowered her eyes. âBut I mind. I donât want this child to be born as someone elseâs illegitimate child. Iâd rather not have it.â
Liam pursed his lips. âIâll accompany you to the hospital.â
Blake looked at him composedly without responding.
They arrived at the underground parking lot and got into the car. On the way to the hospital, Blake watched the scenery outside the car window.
Then, she received a text message from an unknown number.
The text said: [Liam has told me everything about you two. He can indeed use words to vividly describe characters and situations, eliciting strong emotional responses from readers. But in real life, he doesnât have much romantic experience.
[From the beginning to now getting married, I feel like Iâve been involved in every stage. He truly cares about you. I hope you think carefully about your decision. If you decide to terminate this pregnancy, donât regret it. And donât blame Liam for it; this is your choice.]
Liam asked, âYou got a message?â
Blake simply said, âYes. Itâs from Olivia.â
Liam tightened his grip on the steering wheel. A hint of emotions flashed past his warm eyes. âWhat did she say to you?â
Blake calmly relayed the words from the text message to him. âShe told me if I decide to terminate this pregnancy, I shouldnât regret it.
âAnd I shouldnât blame you for it if I do regret it in the future.â
With her eyes closed, Blake sounded a bit weary as she said, âFrom the beginning until now, everything has been my own choice. I know youâre doing everything for my own good. No matter what happens in the future, I wonât blame you.â
Liam suddenly moved the steering wheel and stopped the car by the roadside. Blake opened her eyes. âWhy did you stop the car?â
Liam responded, âBlake, I did tell her everything about us. But wasnât it her who brought us together?â
Blake turned to look at his golden-brown colored eyes. He wore a light -colored shirt and jacket paired with dark blue pants, looking very elegant. She asked, âWhen you sat at the police station entrance waiting for me, was it also her who told you to do that?â
At that time, Liam stood in the icy show, completely frozen and stiff, while waiting for Blake. She felt very soft-hearted when she came out of the police station and saw him.
Liam responded, âIâm not good at handling romantic relationships. I donât know what to do to win over you.â
Blake suddenly smiled. âLiam, affection for someone is an emotion that originates from oneâs heart. You donât need anyone to teach you that.â
She took a deep breath before continuing, âLetâs leave it at this for today. Weâre still a short distance away from the hospital. Iâll walk the rest of the road myself. There are some things I need to think through alone.â
