Song: Taste the feeling- Avicii vs. Conrad Sewell
The next day came and I was a nervous wreck, and it didn't make it any better that Claire was jumping around everywhere with giddiness as if she was going to win something big today. Our friends noticed both of our attitudes and they were pretty nosy which made me more nervous because Claire wasn't making it better.
"Why are you two acting so... so differently?" Josh asked as he stared at Claire and then turned to me with his right eyebrow raised higher than the Eiffel Tower.
"What do you mean?" Claire asked while I just shook my head, looking anywhere but at the people that were sitting with me at the cafeteria table. "I mean, she's acting all awkward and shy while you're so..." Josh trailed off as he frowned.
"Hyper." Kyle chimed in.
"Giddy." Jordan also suggested.
"Horny." Everyone's eyes turned to Clayton as he sat nonchalantly sipping his cola with a bored expression.
"Clayton, do you seriously have a death wish?" Amanda tugged Clayton close to him as she whispered in his ear, but it was of no use since the whole table literally heard her deathly voice.
"Okay." Josh dragged the word out as he looked around the table, "Moving on."
"Why are you all giddy, let's go with that, while Hayden's all awkward?" Josh asked as he looked at Claire who was busy shooting daggers at Clayton, who was already dealing with a hellish Amanda.
"It. is. none. of. your. business." Claire spoke every word slowly sending a glare towards each and everyone's way.
"Wow, someone's really horny." Clayton spoke and once again everyone's eyes fell on him. He suddenly realized what he had said and immediately stood up with a sheepish smile sent everyone's way. "I'll be over there if you need me."
"Oh, you better run, skinny boy." Amanda followed Clayton as he began to run away.
"What did you even see in that guy?" Kyle asked in between laughter as he nudged Josh with his elbow. "What you don't see." Kyle immediately shut up as Josh turned his attention back to Claire.
"Now, tell me why you both are behaving like this."
"Nope."
"But why?" Josh whined as he shook Claire's arm wildly. "First of all, let go of my arm." Josh immediately let her arm go with a sheepish smile while Claire glared at him.
"And second, it's a secret between Hayden and I." She smiled cutely while putting her index finger on her lips. Oh my God, she wants to kill me.
Kyle, Josh and Jordan turned their attention towards me and it was pretty intense, the way they were staring at me as if I'd tell them what Claire and I would do today.
I was still so embarrassed that we were really going to do it today.
...................................................................
I was in my room sitting on my bed reading a book that Kyle recommended to me. Aunt Carrie was downstairs getting ready for her date with Eric, and Claire was going to come over any time now. I was so nervous that I needed to keep my mind away from what Claire and I would be doing tonight.
Since, Aunt Carrie was going on a date with Eric again and she said something about staying over at his house tonight, just because Claire convinced her to. Claire told her that we were going to have a sleepover but the way Aunt Carrie looked at me with a smirk, I knew what she was thinking and that didn't make things any better.
"Hayden! I'm gonna be going now!" Aunt Carrie yelled from downstairs and I sighed before putting my book away and going downstairs.
Aunt Carrie was standing at the last step of the stairs with her hair tied up in a messy braid which made her look really casual but at the same time really classy. "Do I look breath taking?" She asked with a smirk as she saw me staring her down and I just mindlessly nodded.
"You look great." I managed to speak out as I came down the stairs and in front of her.
"Thanks." She smiled brightly as I nodded at her. "When's Claire coming over, now?" She asked as she looked at her wrist watch to confirm the time, I think.
"She said 6:30." I told her as I peeked at her wrist watch to see what time it was. It was only two minutes till 6:30 and Claire still wasn't here and that made me a little worried. She's never late to anything well except for that one time, she came late to school.
"Do you want me to wait for her to come?" Aunt Carrie asked as she placed her purse down on the little table near the staircase. I shook my head with a small smile. "You have a date to go to, I'll be okay alone for a little while."
"Are you sure? I could wait. Eric wouldn't mind." I shook my head again at her which made her sigh with a nod before she pecked my cheek. "If you need anything, I'm just a call away. Okay?"
"Okay, Mom." I laughed when she hit my arm playfully before going to the front door.
"The money's on the kitchen counter and please, don't burn anything down." She spoke from over her shoulder as she gave me a squinted eyes glance. I nodded my head frantically before giving her the most innocent smile I could muster.
"Good." She spoke before she opened the door and went out before closing it behind her. I sighed and went to the door to lock it.
Where was she?
....................................................
I was laying on the sofa reading a book while glancing at the wall clock constantly with a sigh. It wasn't like I was really reading the book, I couldn't even focus on anything without sighing. Half an hour had passed and Claire still wasn't here.
I tried calling her and texting her but she wouldn't reply back. With another sigh and a glance towards the clock, I decided that it was enough. I got up off the sofa and picked a random jacket from the downstairs closet to put on before going to the front door.
I was going to go to her house and see what's going on.
Just as I opened the door, I stopped in my tracks to see Claire standing there with a small smile on her lips and a medium sized box in her hands. I crossed my arms in front of my chest as I glared at her.
"I'm sorry, I'm a little late." She gave me an apologetic smile that made me roll my eyes unconsciously.
"A little? You are half an hour and two minutes late." I spoke while looking at her with a hard glare. "I know, I'm sorry." She spoke before she gave me the box.
"I brought you cupcakes." She spoke cutely as she pouted a bit. I sighed before taking the box from her and walking into the house, knowing that she would come in herself and close the door behind her.
"Are you still mad?" I heard her ask as she followed me into the kitchen where I put the box of cupcakes on the kitchen counter next to the money that Aunt Carrie left.
"I'm already nervous as it is and then you show up late. I thought you weren't going to come." I let it all out as I opened the box and took a cupcake out before eating it. "Why are you nervous?" She asked as she came closer to me. "Are you serious right now? Why shouldn't I be nervous? I've never done this before." I spoke while looking at her, she was now standing beside me.
I leaned against the counter, still munching on the cupcake when she placed her head on my shoulder. "I'm nervous too." I snorted unconsciously and she raised her head to look at me.
"What?"
"Well." I dragged out the word before continuing, "You don't seem nervous at all. You were so looking forward to it and everything." I pointed out as I finished the cupcake.
"Yeah, so? That doesn't mean that I'm not nervous." She huffed crossing her arms. I sighed before placing my head on her shoulder. "Look, I'm sorry. But it's my first time and all, and it's, well, really embarrassing." I blushed when she looked at me with an eyebrow raised.
"It's my first time too." She said in a whisper as a blush came on to her face as well.
"Really? You never did it with Zeke?" I asked as I raised my head to look at her clearly. She shook her head. "And you never did it with Amanda?" She asked while looking at me with a smirk, the blush now long gone from her cheeks.
"Nope, we never did more than kissing." I explained as I shrugged.
"So, now what?" I asked after a while of silence.
She turned to me and smiled before grabbing my hand, and dragged me out of the kitchen and up the stairs. I knew where this was going and I just let her do whatever she wanted to do.
When we reached my bedroom, she pushed me on the bed gently before getting on top of me. Suddenly everything seemed so hot to me and I felt the nervousness come back.
"Relax." She whispered in my ear as she wrapped her arms around my neck and pecked my cheek. I instantly relaxed breathing out heavily as she looked at me with a smile.
I was staring into her eyes and she was staring back. The green in her eyes was darker than usual but still so beautiful that I couldn't stop myself from just looking into her eyes.
"You have amazing eyes." I smiled when she smirked her usual smirk.
"So, I've been told."
"But you have the most adorable smirk ever." I smirked when she frowned. "My smirk isn't adorable, it's sexy." I laughed at her making her pout at me.
"You have a cute pout too."
"Are you just going to keep complimenting me, or are you going to touch me?" She leaned in to whisper in my ear and I gulped inaudibly. When she backed up, she gave me a mischievous smile and I turned us over, so that I was on top of her while she was laying down on my bed.
I began to tickle her and the only thing she could do was laugh and beg for mercy.
"Please, I'll pee myself." She pleaded in between laughs as I tickled her sides relentlessly. "Nope. Not before you apologize for being such a tease." She just laughed as I kept up the sweet torture.
"Okay... okay. I'm sorry." Her face was red and her hair was spread out on the bed while she looked at me with hooded eyes as she laughed away. I came to a mild stop and she managed to grab my hands before I could tickle her again.
"I... hate you." She spoke in heavy breaths as she looked at me, now with her eyes fully opened. The green in her eyes was light and bright now, and it made her look even more attractive. Not that she wasn't attractive before but the way her eyes shined bright, it made her look like a goddess. My goddess.
"You're beautiful." I spoke in a whisper as I leaned in and pecked her nose. She giggled in response making me smile wide.
"And you're so cheesy." I laughed when she scrunched up her face at me when I pecked her nose again.
Another peck on her nose, and I drifted down to her lips. First, I was just pecking her lips over and over again but then she grabbed the back of my neck with one hand and my cheek with the other before bringing my lips down on hers completely.
It was slow and gentle at first but then it turned passionate and rough as she began to unbutton my shirt while still holding me close to her. When she was done unbuttoning my shirt, she broke off our kiss to take it off from my shoulders with her eyes still on mine. I stared into her eyes and I didn't seem nervous at all. She had a way to calm down my senses.
"Take off my dress." She whispered to me with her eyes closed, sitting up so that I could reach the zipper of her dress easily. I gulped before I reached behind her with shaky hands to unzip her dress, with a blush coloring my cheeks.
I slowly unzipped it while still looking at her face. Her eyes were now open and were staring right into mine as if she was looking into my soul.
She pushed me off her gently before getting off the bed to take her dress off completely. I looked away from her to not make her feel uncomfortable or anything. The bed dipped and she grabbed my face with both of her hands, and made me look at her. "Look at me." She whispered and I did. I did look at her. All of her.
"I know you've heard this, many times before but, you are really beautiful." I spoke as I stared into her eyes with all the adoration I could convey through my words.
She giggled at me before she pecked my lips lovingly. "I could never get tired of you saying that to me."
"What? That you've heard this, many times before?" I asked with an innocent look and she slapped my arm playfully before giggling. "That I'm beautiful, you cheese ball."
I grinned at her, "But I'm your cheese ball." She nodded her head in agreement. "Only my cheese ball."
"Only yours." I spoke and began to lean into her as she situated herself in my lap before wrapping her arms around my neck again. I placed mine on her waist as I caressed the skin there.
"You're really soft." I spoke in amazement as I touched her skin making her groan. "You talk too much." She complained before connecting our lips in a fierce kiss that made my knees weak and my heart beat rate quicken. It's a good thing, I was on a bed or else I would've fallen. Not like I hadn't already. I had fallen, in love. With her.
"Before, you complained that I didn't talk at all." I broke our kiss to smirk at her which made her groan again. "If you stop kissing me again, I'll leave." She threatened and instantly my smirk dropped replacing it with an apologetic smile.
"That's what I thought." She smirked before she reconnected our lips.
Everywhere I touched her was so soft that I couldn't help but admire her more than I did before. Things got heated and clothes got thrown off from our bodies faster than anything.
They say that your first time is memorable and special and stuff and stuff, but mine was a bit different.
All we had done was just occupied by a simple memory of what I had felt. And I had felt like everything had stopped and everything had disappeared while only she and I existed. The way her body fit mine like a missing piece, and the way she left a burning trail of fire everywhere her body touched me was what I had felt.
Our night was like a blur but still so vivid, that it made me feel the blush rise up to my cheeks even after the night was done.
I knew that this night would be engraved in my head for as long as I was alive. I knew that she'd always invade my thoughts and circle around my mind. Whatever I'd do, I'd always circle around back to her.
I'd always find my way back to her even if I get lost because she was the voice in the silence that called out to me.
............................................................
I woke up to the sunlight hitting my face and a cold breeze hitting my skin making goosebumps rise on it. I opened my eyes to see the most beautiful view that anyone would love to see just after they wake up. I saw Claire's boobs and they were a wonderful sight to see.
I'm just kidding.
I saw her face and her open eyes that were staring back at mine with a sparkling look in them. "Were you looking at me sleep?" I asked her playfully but then she blushed deeply which made it pretty clear that she was indeed looking at me sleep.
"You looked so peaceful and cute." She whispered and hid her face in my neck before pecking it. "I love you." I heard her whisper and I smiled widely at that before I pecked her head whispering the same words to her.
"I love you too."
She backed away from me a little to look at my face and give me the most beautiful smile that she had ever given me. You know, the type when your eyes close slightly and some lines grace the corner of your eyes. Yup, that's the smile she gave me that drove me crazy.
I would love to wake up every day to her face, to her smile. I would love to wake up every day just for her. I'd look forward to everyday if it meant that I'd get to see her, to hold her.
"What're you thinking about?" She whispered as she rested her hand on my cheek. I closed my eyes for a while before I opened them back to look into her green eyes. "You."
She blushed before she giggled. "Aren't you getting a bit too corny?" I shook my head innocently, grabbing her hand that was on my cheek. "I'm just getting a bit more truthful than before."
"And why is that?" She asked as she looked at me with a small smile on her face. "Because of you. I want to be truthful to you." She raised an eyebrow at me.
"Even if I ask you how I look?" She asked with a smirk and I smirked back at her. "Yup. You always look beautiful." I spoke to her honestly but her raised eyebrow didn't go back down.
"What if I turn old and gray and fat?" She asked innocently as she looked at me with those green eyes that I loved.
"Well, your question is invalid because you'd have to turn old and gray and fat first, for me to answer that." I grinned when she smirked at me.
"Are you indirectly asking me to grow old with you?" She asked and I smirked back at her before I nodded my head. "Wow, we'd have to marry first because I don't want to be just your girlfriend forever."
"We'll do that. In time, that is." I spoke to her while tucking a piece of hair behind her ear. "When we finish studying, when we get a job and a place to live in."
"That sounds like a lot of work and a lot of time." She pointed out and I smiled at her.
"Well, it'll feel like a breeze of air if we do it together. And then even before you know it, we'll be standing under an altar wearing white. You'll be wearing a white beautiful dress while I'll wear a white suit that would have a small stain on it." She laughed at that.
"What?" She asked and I smiled sheepishly at her. "What? I'm not good with keeping white clothes clean for long. I'll probably eat or drink something out of nervousness before our wedding and spill it a little on my suit." She laughed before shaking her head at me.
"Don't you even dare come in front of me with a stained suit." She ordered as she pointed her index finger at me for more emphasis. I nodded my head frantically with a scared look on my face which made her smile adorably.
Great, now I can't even eat anything before our wedding.
"But if you accidentally stain your suit, I'll probably accidentally stain my dress to match you too." I laughed when she pecked my cheek with a childish grin on her face.
"Then can we have a food fight at our wedding?" I asked her innocently as I snuggled closer to her.
"Don't push it."
"Yes ma'am." And we laughed heartily as we held each other after our first night together.
It wasn't like any other night because for the first time, we slept in each other's arms and woke up the same way. In each other's' arms, wrapped in a loving embrace.
To love and be loved is to feel the sun from both sides.
