Outside there were a lot of people with cameras in hand. They were all entertainment journalists. After hearing the news that the former cello prince Freddie came back and stayed at this place, the reporters came here early in the morning.
Also, not long ago in Vienna, several show business newspapers had just carried the news that the popular star Bonnie Sampson had purposely gone to hear his recital and left with him after the recital.
Reporters from all circles of show business were jumping at the chance to report on Bonnieâs amour and had already been waiting for half a month. And apparently Bonnie had recently disappeared, so when they finally got word from Freddie, they couldnât wait to immediately rush over here to get a firsthand report.
âThese reporters are crazy! I have no relationship with Bonnie, I donât even know her.â Freddie covered the peephole and turned around. He was very livid, âThey should go looking for others, but why are they coming after me?â.
âOther than Bonnie, youâre the only person involved. No wonder the reporters are looking for you.â Joseph glanced at her, âBonnie is a popular celebrity now. Even I know that, how could you not know that?â.
âYouâ¦â Freddie was anxious and feared Hayden would misunderstand him. He glared at Joseph, âWhat are you trying to say?â.
âNothing, Iâm just casually asking. I just donât think itâs necessary for you to explain your relationship with her so hastily. After all, no one here cares what your relationship with her is.â
After uttering these words, Freddieâs expression instantly changed and he became indignant.
âJoseph, stop talking nonsense.â
âStop arguing, Freddie. Now is not the time to talk about this.â Hayden was slightly anxious, âThe most crucial thing now is to think about how to resolve the matter at hand. We canât let them keep blocking the door.â
âIâll call the police.â Freddie pulled out his phone.
âItâs no use.â Said Joseph weakly, âTheyâre not doing anything against the law, at most itâs causing a disturbance. If the police make them come down, theyâll still look for ways to get back up when the police leave here.â
Watching Joseph refute nonchalantly, Freddieâs face turned blue and he spoke in an impatient tone. âSo, what do you think we should do? Since youâre so good, suggest an ideA.â
After uttering these words, Hayden also looked at Joseph.
After all, it wasnât just her and Freddie who were trapped in this house now because of this matter, but also Joseph and his son. Obviously, this would cause a greater effect on Joseph.
âYes, Mr. Beckham, do you have any ideas?â Since Hayden had asked, Joseph had no intention of wasting Freddieâs time, so he spoke firmly, âCall the property managers first. Ask them to bring in security guards to let this group of people off.â
Discover endless adventures on g alno vels ; con âHow does that differ from my idea of calling the police, will security guards be more helpful than the police?â Freddie glared at him.
Joseph looked calm and said in a gravelly voice. âAt least the security guards will always be there and itâs quicker to call them compared to calling the police.â
âHuh? Are you trying to pick a fight with me?â.
âFreddie, let Mr. Beckham finish talking.â Hayden knew that Joseph would definitely not have come up with this kind of solution that could only temporarily solve the problem. There must be another way.
âBe patient.â Joseph looked at his wrist, âIt should have come.â
Shortly after saying this, the group of reporters outside was dispersed by the security guards brought in by the property managers. The security guards knocked on the door and apologized.
Then, the situation outside gradually calmed down.
âTheyâre all gone, arenât they?â. Hayden heaved a sigh of relief.
Just as he finished speaking, the doorbell suddenly rang, âDonât tell me theyâre coming again?â Hayden frowned with a face full of resentment.
Was the entertainment industry so competitive these days?
Joseph, however, came striding over and opened the door. âMr. Beckham, people are downstairs now, donât worry.â The person who came was Josephâs assistant, Magnus.
âHuh?â Freddie snorted with a scornful face, âEven your assistant came all the way down here too, what are you going to do now?â
Seeing that Hayden believed in Joseph so much, he was really unconvinced and unhappy about it. Other than having the ability to earn money, what else could this man do. Showbiz circle reporters would not be easily chased away.
Joseph didnât bother to talk to him any further. Magnus, who was next door, understood what Joseph meant and walked over to Freddie.
âMr. Freddie, right?â.
âYes.â Freddie raised his chin slightly arrogantly, âItâs me.â
âPlease come with me now to change our clothes, Mr. Freddie.â
âWhat for?â Freddie covered his chest and took a large step back with a wary look, âWhat are you going to do?â.
Magnusâ expression didnât change, âFirst Iâll put on your clothes to keep the reporters away from downstairs. Then someone downstairs will send you to a hotel, itâs all taken care of.â
Freddie was slightly stunned. âYou want me to leave, then what about Hayden and Stella?â
This suggestion was quite appropriate. Originally, he also wanted to find a way to get out of here and attract reporters. But, this plan had been made by Joseph, so he felt like he was being pushed away.
âTheyâll be safe once you leave here.â Joseph replied casually.
Freddie couldnât help but stare at Joseph. However, he was unable to refute. Therefore, he could only dutifully follow Magnus into the bedroom to change his clothes.
Ten minutes later, wearing Freddieâs casual clothes that had been photographed earlier by reporters, Magnus carried Freddieâs cello case and went downstairs.
Looking out the window, in the midst of the group of journalists, Magnus pulled down his hat brim and finally climbed into the car with the help of security guards. The car was followed by a large group of people and cars.
All the journalists followed.
When all the people had left, Freddie came out of the building almost completely covered by clothing. Two men in suits resembling bodyguards led him to the car and drove off in the opposite direction to the residence area.
âTheyâre finally gone.â Hayden let out a sigh of relief and sat down on the couch.
âItâs not over yet.â Joseph looked at her, âYou need to pack up your things and Stellaâs.â
Hayden didnât understand. âHuh? Why?â
âDo you think after the reporters find out that Freddie is staying here, youâll still be safe here? After they find out that the one in the car isnât Freddie, someone will definitely come back here.â
âBut Freddieâs already gone.â
âYou think they wonât ask about the woman and the girl who live with Freddie?â
Josephâs analysis was impeccable as Hayden was speechless. Then he sighed deeply.
If I had known something like this would happen, I wouldnât have been so soft-hearted as to let Freddie stay here. I should have let him stay at the ST Hotel with the employee discount, instead of being homeless now.
Josephâs bodyguard pulled Haydenâs two large suitcases and the group descended the stairs.
âMommy, where are we staying then?â. In the elevator, Stella raised her head and blinked worriedly, âAt Grandpaâs?â
Hayden frowned.
If she were alone, she wouldnât mind going back to the Downey Family. But now she was with Stella, she would be criticized and singled out so she was reluctant to let such a thing happen.
Josephâs hem was pulled. He looked down and saw that Noah was tugging at his sleeve and looking at him with eyes that were apparently warning him.
She had no choice but to say, âDonât worry about where to stay, Iâve already arranged it.â
