Hearing his voice, Edison was not in the mood. Hayden wanted to heat up the atmosphere, so he deliberately sneered.

“I know it’s you, there’s caller ID. Even though we’re getting divorced, we’re leaving happy, right?”.

Edison played along and smiled, “Yes.” After a second’s silence, he said quietly, “I know Lorraine drove you to the house. Don’t worry, but she’s never done those things before.”

“That’s okay, she thought it was more convenient for me to stay there. What I want to know is whether or not you punished her.”

“I let her rest and that I left work for a month.”

“Dude, can you be any nicer to a woman?” Hayden leaned on his hand, “Lorraine has worked with you for almost 8 years, right? You shouldn’t be so strict with her over such small things.”

“She applied it herself.”

“What?” Hayden was a little surprised and whispered, “How stubborn.”

After chatting for a while, he hung up. Thinking back on Edison’s words, he sighed helplessly.

“What’s the matter, are you sorry after a phone call from your ex-husband?”.

Hayden was stunned and then realized that the video call was still going on. “You were still listening?”

“Yes.” Joseph nodded with an unhinged face and said, “You’re leaving happy?”

“Yes, no?” Hayden said, “What if I pick a fight with you and don’t go to the notary’s office?”

Joseph was speechless.

Seeing that he didn’t say anything, Hayden burst out laughing, “No more words, right? You’re busy challenging me all the time, so the company’s in all right?”.

“We are preparing for the annual meeting.”

The annual meeting of the ST Group will be held on January 29 every year. The group will rent the top floor of the Purple Peak Hotel for the whole day, and the most eye-catching thing was that many celebrities will be invited, which is equivalent to publicizing the ST Group.

So it should be a busy time now, but Joseph was here and showed his jealousy.

Hayden rolled his eyes.

To console him, Hayden explained, “I sighed for Lorraine. She had been at Edison’s side for almost eight years and they had both graduated from Yale. After graduating, she worked with Edison for his start-up company. Everyone knows how Lorraine feels, but Edison doesn’t.”

“Maybe he knew.”

At her words, Hayden frowned and looked at Joseph, “I disagree. I think Edison really doesn’t know her love for him. Lorraine has been his follower for so long that he often neglects her.”

Joseph paused, “Maybe he will when he loses her.”

After a pause, Hayden seemed to think of something, “Yes, when he loses her…”.

Lorraine asked for a month’s leave, and that’s a long time.

Joseph looked at his worried wife on the screen and felt a little sorry. She went far away to the U.S. to get a divorce, but she was still worried about other people’s things.

At midnight, after the video call, Joseph called Magnus.

“Postpone the schedule for the last two days and buy me a ticket for tomorrow.”

“Where do you want to go?”

“To the U.S.”

Hayden did not sleep well during the night. He had to admit that he can’t sleep well without Joseph lying next to him.

The next morning, he went to the psychiatric center with some bags.

Seeing Hayden, Alayna screamed and jumped out of bed.

“Master Kong’s Beef Noodles! Noodles with sauerkraut! Refreshment!”.

“Jesus!” Hayden could hardly breathe with Alayna’s arm around his neck, “Did you miss me or junk food?”.

“How can you say it’s junk food! Master Kong will sue you.”

Alayna lovingly took the bags from Hayden. Then Alayna pulled her to sit by the window.

“You’re so nice to me.”

“If you tell Kevin, I bet he lasts he’s already bought a lot.” Hayden blinked, looking thoughtful.”

You want to make a good impression on your mother-in-law, so don’t ask her to buy this stuff for you.”

“No!” Denied Alayna, “I’m afraid she doesn’t even know which ones I want.”

Hayden didn’t bother to argue with her, “Well, how are you?”.

Speaking of which, Alayna cracked a big smile.

“The doctor said I’m fine now and I can get out of the hospital if there is no relapse. I can attend your wedding.”

“Great.”

Alayna pulled a sketchbook out of the drawer under the window. “Take a look, I’ve designed your wedding dress and bridesmaid’s dress.”

“Really? Let me see.”

Hayden couldn’t help but grab the book. A wedding was every girl’s dream and the wedding dress was the most wonderful part.

After turning a few pages, Hayden lifted her head and stared at Alayna, “This is for my wedding dress?”

The sketches were for bridesmaids dresses, with various colors and styles; but none were for the wedding dress.

“Wedding dresses are the same!”. Alayna blinked innocently, “I can draw the sketch for you right now, you know it’s not easy for a bridesmaid to get attention.”

“Why do you want to get attention as my maid of honor, do you want to steal one of the bride and groom?”

Alayna uttered a few words. As she struggled to get rid of Hayden’s hand, she picked up another thicker book and handed it to Hayden as she rubbed her face.

“Here!”

Hayden hesitantly opened the book, and said in a threatening tone, “If I see it’s for the best man’s suit, I’ll kill you right away.”

“Then open it if you like.” Alayna pouted, “Do you know how much my designs are worth? You should pay me.”

As she spoke, Hayden had opened the book and the first page really surprised her. The dress on the page was so beautiful that she can’t move her eyes.

Alayna designed six wedding dresses and twelve toast dresses.

“I guess you will have two weddings, one at home and one abroad, so at least four wedding dresses should be ready in case of any accident. You can choose four of the six. As for the other dresses, you can choose more and they can be worn to the ball.”

Alayna had been teasing. But now she was so serious about talking about her wedding, Hayden wasn’t so used to it.

Hayden was so moved and tears appeared in her eyes.
