“Andrea! Wake up, Andrea!”.

Benjamin managed to get to the hospital, calling Andrea loudly, until almost dawn.

“Doctor, she was stabbed in the left side of the belly 20 minutes ago.”

After he accurately described the details of the weapon and Stella’s condition, the doctor and nurses pushed Andrea into the operating room, where she underwent a more than two-hour operation. Benjamin was still waiting in the doorway of the room like a silent statuette.

Hayden arrived at the hospital at nine in the morning.

He knew nothing of the whole plan until he overheard the conversation between Old Mr. Beckham’s butler. Plus the media reported that something had happened at the warehouse.

He immediately called Joseph, who came to the ST Group first thing in the morning, and angrily reproached him after learning that the plan had been hatched by him and Benjamin.

“Don’t you know that Benjamin is too young? He has no experience! Why didn’t you call the police? What if something more serious happened?”.

Joseph remained silent until she stopped scolding him, “I’ll go to the hospital when the company runs as usual, you can go first. Actually, he is fine, but his team leader was injured.”

When Hayden was informed that Andrea was injured for protecting Benjamin, he was outraged.

“You have to be more meticulous before taking action. The girl is only 19 years old, how are you going to comfort her parents if she dies.”

Benjamin listened to Hayden’s rebuke in silence, standing in the doorway of the waiting room.

“Are you learning from Joseph?” Hayden pinched him, “All men are the same. When they do something wrong, they don’t say anything.”

Then he handed his wallet to Benjamin, “What are you standing there for? Go buy some food, something tasteless.”

Benjamin replied, “Okay, I’ll be back soon.”

Looking at his back, Hayden sighed.

Although he was as smart when analyzing as an adult, he seemed obtuse now that there was no food for the girl. He’d just spent a night and the girl must need food to gain some energy. What an idiot he is in his relationships.

Outside the waiting room, Hayden bought a bouquet of flowers for Andrea, who was now recovering in a room after the operation.

When she walked in, the girl reading a book about military and weapons looked up immediately, after she recognized who it was, she smiled at him, “I remember her, she’s Benjamin’s sister.”

“Yes.” Hayden smiled as well, placing the flowers next to the bed, “My name is Hayden, I’m several years older than you. So you can treat me as your sister-in-law or your sister just like Benjamin.”

Actually, Hayden didn’t indicate anything, but the girl had other thoughts with a flushed face, she ducked her head and twisted the blanket, saying, “Benjamin and I are just classmates and comrades, we’re not in love…”.

Hayden was amused. He didn’t want Andrea to be embarrassed, so he said, “Okay, you can call me by my name directly. After all, I’m not that old.”

“Thank you. You’re a good sister.” Andrea replied.

“Your name is Andrea?” Hayden asked.

“Yes.” Stella nodded, “Everyone calls me that.”

“They told me you got hurt because of Benjamin.”

“It’s okay.” Andrea said seriously, “I’m responsible for his safety since he’s a member of my team.”

“Really?” Hayden said deliberately, “Oh, I think I misunderstood their relationship, I turned down a blind date for Benjamin. But I’d better resume it.”

“No, please don’t!”. Hearing this, Andrea became anxious and almost jumped out of bed.

Hayden pressed her back against the bed quickly. “Stay still, you haven’t recovered yet. Take care of your wound, Andrea.”

“Don’t set him up on a blind date.” Andrea looked nervous, “He can’t go on a date with another girl.”

“Why?” Hayden scoffed.

Andrea kept her face flushed and then answered directly, “Because I love him.”

At that moment, Benjamin opened the door with a bag of food. He walked in confused, put the food next to the bed, and asked nonchalantly, “You love what?”

Andrea bit her lips and stared at him for a few seconds, “I love you.”

Benjamin stopped suddenly and continued to stand where he was.

“Do something, Benjamin.” Hayden scoffed at him.

“What?” Benjamin was no longer distracted. He straightened up and replied, “Oh, there’s no soup here. I’d better buy some soup.”

Then he ran out immediately.

Andrea shouted at his back, “You know what I mean. If I didn’t love you, why would I have ever hurt myself for you?”

Her voice was so powerful that it didn’t sound like a girl who had just had a wound stitched.

Hayden now understood why people considered Andrea so brave.

She thought Andrea was innocent and naïve, but with good balance, while Benjamin was smart but weak in a fight. They were the opposite of each other, their story consisted of a bold girl trying to win the affections of a young man who was rather indifferent in love.

“Why did you run so fast? I’m not a demon.” Andrea didn’t like his reaction.

“But he seemed to want to do something to her right now.” Hayden couldn’t help but smile and gave her a thumbs up, “You did a good job.”

“But he doesn’t want me.” Andrea looked annoyed, still twisting the blanket, and then sighed, “Hayden, what kind of girls does Benjamin like?”

Hayden was silent at the question and something suddenly occurred to him. So he said to Stella, “Oh, I know! I’ve heard him say it before.”

“Tell me about it, please.”

Actually, she didn’t remember all the details of when he asked her the day they had tea at the university. But his last words were clear to her.

“He said he loved girls who are similar to his mother.” Hayden said firmly.

“What?” Andrea couldn’t believe it and stammered, “Looked like her mother?”.

It was a surprise to Andrea, who never thought he had the Oedipus Complex.

Now she thought he was a man with a twisted mind.

Outside the hospital, Benjamin sneezed several times, feeling his neck was cold, he secured his cloak around him.

He thought it was always very cold before the frost, and after the snow that fell last night. Now he felt his limbs were freezing.
