As soon as he saw Sofia, Hayden understood why Belinda had arranged that meeting: the replacement of power required the presence of all members.

As Hayden left the office, she found Joseph waiting at the door.

Hayden took his hands.

“It’s okay.” Joseph touched his nose and said slowly, “It would be embarrassing for me to withdraw my resignation request if you had decided to stay.”

Hearing this, Hayden burst out laughing.

As they were leaving the building, Anna caught up with them.

“Miss Downey, are you leaving? Aren’t you coming back any more?”

Hayden understood what she meant.

Anna was her secretary and once Hayden left, she would be treated badly as Sofia would look for her faults and criticize her, even though Anna was actually a distant relative of Sofia.

“The salary at Green Lemon Clothing is not as high as the Downey Group. But if you still want…”.

“I want to!” Anna quickly replied, “I want to learn design. If you agree, I will start working at Green Lemon Clothing immediately.”

Hayden exchanged a knowing glance with Joseph and then smiled at Anna, “It’s okay, you can ask Dante. I think he needs an assistant.”

Anna’s eyes widened in surprise.

“I’ll ask him right now.”

Hayden looked at Anna who was walking away like the wind, and smiled meaningfully.

“Dante is lucky.”

Joseph took his hands and said, “You pay too much attention to other people instead of me.”

“Are you jealous of Anna?” Hayden rolled his eyes at him, “You know, I’ve lost my job, please buy me lunch.”

“I’ve reserved a table at a restaurant.” Joseph looked at her doubtfully, “But first I want to take you to meet someone.”
