Leon was stuck for a moment at Haydenâs question. Teeth chattering at him, he blinked and said, âYouâre right.â
Hayden thought she hadnât considered it properly before coming over.
Then she felt angry, âThatâs enough. Forget about dinner, youâre freezing out here. Where do you live? Iâll take you home.â
Leon didnât dare argue, so he got into Haydenâs car.
They werenât far from where he was staying. Hayden left him at the hotel door, âKeep your coat on. Otherwise you might catch a cold.â
Your favorite tales are on gαâηÏνððsâ¤Ã§Ð¾nn After all, he was the Downey Groupâs brand spokesman. If he got sick right after the shoot, his fans would be furious and blame it on them.
But Leon was delighted: âIâll have your coat washed and then Iâll give it back to you.â
âOnly if you come to N-Town again.â Hayden smiled and waved her hand. She breathed a sigh of relief as she closed the car door.
People were going crazy with the stars, but they werenât so easy to deal with.
Hayden saw a man in black standing in front of the building as the car pulled into the Imperial Village area.
She was so happy that she ran to Joseph and hugged him when the driver stopped the car.
She looked at him, âHow did you know what time I was coming?â.
Seeing that she wasnât wearing a coat, Joseph frowned and unbuttoned his to wrap her up, âI asked Anna.â
âWow, did you ask her about my schedule, what did she say?â.
âShe said you should have been home half an hour ago.â Joseph was a little annoyed, âI waited for you for over forty minutes. Turns out youâre not so reliable with your information.â
Hayden burst out laughing, âAnna isnât always aware of my itinerary. Besides, today she invited the members of the shoot for me. So you shouldnât have asked her, it was better to ask me directly.â
Seeing that she was still snorting, he took her by the arm and walked into the building, âYouâve been very busy with your work lately.â
Hayden disagreed, âYou were a lot busier than me. I still come home every day, but you were always on a business trip.â
Joseph pushed the elevator button, but it took too long to arrive. So he turned and asked, âWhy didnât you put your coat on?â
âNo reason!â Hayden sighed, âItâs complicated.â
âWhat happened?â
Hayden suddenly stared at him and asked, âDo you understand the fashion of cute boys and rude boys?â.
Joseph was puzzled by what he said.
âTheyâre two very popular boyfriend stereotypes these days. Tough guys are more manly and dependable, while tender boys are more sweet and attentive.â
Joseph wasnât interested in such things and continued to ask her about the coat, âWhat does this have to do with your coat?â
âI gave my coat to âa tender boy.'â
Hayden snuggled into coat and looked up into his face. Her coat was too big for her and was stiff in the shoulders, making her look like a girl in disguise.
Wearing her coat, she expected him to be jealous. But after a while, he simply asked her, âWhat kind of âtender boyâ would take your coat?â
She suddenly lost her enthusiasm and resigned herself, âDonât you understand what I just said? The âtender boyâ label refers to exactly that, a tender and delicate boy. Heâs the Downey Groupâs new brand ambassador, his name is Leon and I gave him my coat.â
Joseph didnât know what to answer.
The elevator happened to stop in front of them. Hayden stepped straight into the elevator, looking like he didnât want to talk to him.
Joseph stepped into the elevator as well and asked with a frown, âA boy?â
âYes.â She slyly watched his expression, and teased him purposefully, â I really like Leon.â
âWhat did you say?â Her expression suddenly changed and she spoke in a deeper voice.
âI said I like Leon. Iâm not a fan of any popular star, but Iâm a fan of Leon.â From the elevator mirror, he saw Joseph get angry.
He snapped back, âYouâve never talked about what kind of celebrities you like.â
âThatâs because I donât say it when I like someone.â He managed to keep a poker face and was about to exit the elevator as it was about to stop.
The elevator arrived and the door was opening. But suddenly he grabbed her wrist.
She exclaimed in surprise. Before she realized what had happened, she was trapped between him and the elevator wall. Her hand was pressed against the wall.
He looked at her and said angrily, âYou were late because you had arranged to go out with Leon, werenât you?â
âWhy are you so angry?â. She struggled, but failed to pull on his wrist. She laughed at him again, âAre you jealous?â.
âAre you still laughing?â. Joseph was indignant, âAnswer me.â
Hayden leaned against the wall, looking like he had given up the fight, âYes, I went to meet him. He invited me to dinner. But I was cold, so I took off my coat and gave it to him.â
Hearing that, he became even more enraged, especially when he saw that she was wearing his coat. He grabbed her wrist more firmly.
Hayden was no longer laughing, âLet go of me! Youâre hurting me!â
He felt an icy wind rush across his shoulder as he finished his words.
Joseph grabbed his coat again and refused to give it to him.
Hayden shivered with cold and clutched at his arm.
âWhat are you doing? Iâm freezing to death.â
âYou could ask Leon to give you your coat back.â
Joseph knew there was no way Hayden was having an affair. And it was understandable if he was a fan of any star. But he had been jealous of other men these days, so he gave vent to his anger and jealousy.
Hayden was amused by the unusual expression on his face. She wanted to know his background, but she froze.
But enough was enough. She blinked, âI like the Lion from my favorite movie. Not Lion model we chose for the shoot. You misunderstood.â
His face took on a fixed expression. He realized heâd been tricked when he saw Hayden let out a chuckle.
Then she was back between him and the wall: âDonât tickle me! Iâm sorry, it was my fault!â.
Hayden laughing intensely and tried to stop him.
Seeing Hayden gasp with a blush on her cheeks, Joseph stopped tickling her.
