Shortly after Michael went upstairs, Sofia came downstairs.

Chelsea who was reading a magazine on the couch immediately got up at the sound of Sofia’s walking. “Mom.”

“You gave me a scare.” Sofia gasped.

Seeing that there was nothing in her mother’s hand, Chelsea flinched.

In the study, Michael gave the revised inheritance to Bentley to take a look at and confirmed, “If there’s no problem, now we just need the person in question to sign it.”

“Then I’ll bring it down later and give it to Chelsea to sign.”

“No need.” Bentley glanced at the bowl of soup next to him, “Just have her sign it this weekend.”

“Okay.”

As Michael left, Bentley picked up the small bowl in his hand. The chicken soup was glistening with oil, and inside was ginseng, black-boned chicken, and maybe some other ingredient.

He smiled as if laughing at himself, then drank the soup.

Since Hayden had left, Noah had been living at Harrison’s house and refused to go back to Joseph’s house. Joseph was very upset because he was worried about his son, but he didn’t want to go to Harrison’s house because Harrison would ask about Hayden.

Harrison knew that Hayden had resigned from the company. He also heard the rumors in the company from different authorities.

“Did you forget how Mrs. Sanchez treated you before this? Did you break up with Hayden because of that woman? Hayden was a good woman, I think you are obsessed with Señora Sanchez.”

Harrison pounded the table, looking sad. “No wonder you say Noah’s been apathetic this month. You were trying to hide everything from me, weren’t you?”

Joseph said nothing. He waited for Harrison to finish scolding him and just opened his mouth. He said hastily, “This is my business, you can’t control me.”

“Why can’t I control you?”. Harrison was furious, “You’re my only grandson and you’re embarrassing the family by messing with a lot of women.”

“What, you want to threaten me by using the company, like you always used to do before?”

Joseph purposely flashed a deadpan look and didn’t mean to make Harrison angry. It was just that he didn’t know how to deal with his relationship with Hayden, which had had him upset for a long time.

“Threaten you?” Harrison snorted coldly, “I won’t do that.”

Joseph was speechless.

“The seafood company in Ningpo had a lot of problems recently. Many customers have been complaining about the substandard seafood. Go there and see what’s going on.”

“I think this is not appropriate.” Mark, who was next door, pleaded before Joseph responded.

“It’s hot and humid there, plus it’s so far away. It’s so hot that if you walk on the beach you’ll shed a layer of skin. How can we let the Young Master go there? Just find a reliable manager to go, I can substitute for him to go there if we really can’t find anyone.”

“Is it up to me or up to you?” Harrison looked unsatisfied at Mark.

“Okay.” Joseph said only one word. He grabbed his jacket and stood up, “I’ll go there tomorrow morning.”

“Young Master…”.

Mark felt helpless. Joseph was stubborn from a young age and did not give in easily. Harrison was also adamant, it seemed that Joseph had to go there.

“Master, why do you want the Young Master to go and suffer there?”. Mark sighed, “Young Master is already over thirty years old. He knows what he’s doing. Why do you always have to be so hard on him?”

“I’m helping him. You can’t understand.” Harrison looked happy, as if he had accomplished something.

He waved to Noah, who was in his room, “Noah, come to Great-Grandpa.”

Mark was surprised to see that Noah was in Harrison’s room, as he didn’t know when Noah had gone to the room to hide.

Noah ran to Harrison immediately. He lifted his head and looked at Harrison with glee.

“Did you hear what I told you? I promised you I’d let your dad meet mom, didn’t I?”.

Noah nodded his head seriously and mouthed one word haltingly, “Yes.”

Harrison was relieved, since Hayden left, Noah had been listless for a few days. He ate only a little and was in no mood for anything. Until finally, one day Harrison called Stella and asked her to persuade Noah to be more energetic, after that Noah showed some energy.

Now, Noah was even willing to talk to him, even if it was just a simple word or phrase, Harrison felt extremely happy, as it had been years since he had heard him speak.

Harrison stroked Noah’s head, speaking lovingly and softly to him.

“I’ve done what I promised you, so it’s also time for you to eat properly isn’t it?”.

“Yes.” Noah nodded again.

Mark understood his words and quickly informed the nanny to ask the kitchen staff to prepare something for Noah.

Seeing Noah devour his meal with great gusto, everyone let out a sigh of relief.

“Sir, what did you promise little Noah?”. Mark lowered his voice and asked Harrison who was standing next to him.

Harrison, who was reading the paper, raised his head and frowned at his words, “Of course I’m going to find a way to help my disappointing grandson get back with Hayden. What else would it be?”.

Elsewhere, back at the condo located downtown….

Hayden had just packed his suitcase and set it in the hallway.

“Stella, tomorrow morning Mom will send you to Alayna’s. I’ll be back as soon as possible Is that okay with you?”

From the couch, Stella said with vague excitement. “It’s okay, I don’t have any problem. You can stay there for two more days if you want.”

“Why should I? I’m not going on vacation.” Hayden patted her hand.

“Quick, follow me so you can shower and go to sleep earlier, you have to get up early tomorrow.”

Hayden’s clothing company was still in the process of renovation and construction. Although she hadn’t officially started hiring employees, she had to get ready first.

Alayna introduced her to a senior she met while studying design at York St. John’s University. After a few years on the job, the senior realized that the business world was not compatible with the design skills he had, so he quit the job and went back to his hometown to live like a primitive.

He lived in Ningpo and it was said that he didn’t even use a phone and you had to call someone in town to let him know about things, then he had to walk five kilometers to town.

“Don’t worry, I have contacted him. You just have to get to the village and let the owner of the public phone booth take you to where he is.”

Before leaving, Alayna reminded him again, “Please remember him. He’s a little eccentric, so don’t get irritated with him.”

“All designers are eccentric. Some even have depression.” Hayden yanked open the car door, “Okay, you can go back now. It’s still early and you can join Stella for a nap. I’ll be on my way.”

“Well, have a good trip.”

Hayden could see Alayna waving goodbye to her from the rearview mirror. She smiled helplessly, secretly cursed her ‘crazy’ as she sped off in the direction of Ningpo.
