Chapter 178

The CEO’s little ones1,293 words~7 min read

“Sis, do you know him?” Freddie had a wary look on his face.

“Sister?” Cleveland’s eyes were full of mockery.

Hayden sighed helplessly, “Freddie, you’ve blown the lid off everything.”

She told Cleveland she had a fiancé, but didn’t tell him who it was. When Freddie called her ‘sister,’ their relationship was instantly exposed. It wasn’t his fault.

He was still too glib.

“You guys talk, I’ll go over there with Alayna.”

Hayden touched his nose awkwardly and pushed Alayna away.

In broad daylight, there was no way Cleveland would do anything to Freddie. It was just that she and Alayna felt very uncomfortable staying here. It was more convenient for them to escape immediately.

When Hayden left, Freddie looked at Cleveland with distaste and also intended to leave.

“Don’t you want to know how Hayden and I met?”

“No.”

“Which do you think is more unacceptable, that someone you detest is your boyfriend or that he’s your brother-in-law?”

“What do you mean?” Freddie paused and when he turned his head, he saw the picture inside Cleveland’s phone.

His gaze instantly became alert. He grabbed Cleveland’s collar and lowered his voice, saying, “I’m warning you, stay away from Hayden. Don’t blame me for being rude.”

“Oh?” Cleveland merely let her grab him by the collar and didn’t struggle. His gold-rimmed glasses reflected a cold light and he said thoughtfully.

“I’d like to know how you’re going to be impolite.”

Freddie was furious.

“I’ll expose the news that you’re a homosexual pervert and by then, the media and reporters will definitely run the story. Don’t forget that you have an ex-wife and children. Being gay, your behavior of tricking a woman to marry you is immoral. After the exposure of this news, do you think your company will be all right?”

“Before the news gets out, I will give up the CEO position to my little brother.”

Cleveland looked at the teenager in front of him like a wolf at a small rabbit. He was actually relaxed.

“And after you expose this, I will take the opportunity to announce your relationship with me as mistress. Then you can retire next to me.”

Your next adventure is at g al n ovels . con “You’re lying.” Freddie’s face instantly turned blue, “Who the hell are you calling lover?”

“I really like watching you say vulgar words to insult people.” Cleveland’s lips curled up and he smiled like a civilized degenerate.

Freddie was so angry his blood boiled, he couldn’t say a word to refute him.

“If you’ll calm down, how about listening to me for a moment?” Cleveland reached out a hand and patted his shoulder, “I won’t touch Hayden, but you have to make peace with me.”

“I’m a regular guy.”

Freddie quickly pulled his hand away and took two steps back. He was full of wariness. “What you have in your mind is absolutely impossible.”

“I’m a normal man, too.” Cleveland shrugged his shoulders. Such a petulant action showed surprisingly some lazy sense of elegance. “That day was an accident, I was drunk.”

Freddie eyed him suspiciously, “If I remember correctly, you only drank half a glass of red wine that day.”

He politely sent him home, but he took advantage of him. Every time Freddie thought about it, his head hurt.

Thinking of Hayden’s safety, he took a deep breath, “Well, I can promise I’ll get along with you as a friend, but don’t go near Hayden again.”

“I have no shortage of friends.” Cleveland looked at him with a smirk, “You’re clear on the purpose of me getting along with you. You want to turn a blind eye, but I don’t want to.”

The business world was all very complicated. When it came to relationships, he was used to getting straight to the point and didn’t like to cover up.

“So, what do you want?” Freddie gritted his teeth and his face swelled with anger.

“Go out with me like a normal lover.”

“You…”

“There’s no other choice.” Cleveland took a glass of wine from a passing waiter. He turned and walked toward Hayden, leaving a few words.

“Hayden must have recently broken up with Joseph. It’s too much of a coincidence that my younger sister also has a little relationship with Joseph. As long as I help a little, it’s not strange to change the subject of a romantic relationship. I’ll give you tonight to consider it, tell me the answer by the end of the banquet.”

Freddie was trembling with rage at the very spot where he stood. He couldn’t stop himself and just watched Cleveland stride toward Hayden. When he turned around, he saw a familiar figure in the doorway to the banquet hall.

It was Joseph.

In full view of everyone, he and Addison entered side by side. Addison linked his arm with hers and they seemed a perfectly matched pair.

Freddie frowned and unconsciously glanced at Hayden. He felt slightly relieved.

Fortunately, Hayden was talking to Cleveland so he didn’t notice Joseph’s presence.

He was half relieved, but felt choked up again.

Cleveland was, indeed, gay. He cheated on his ex-wife to have a child and now he wanted to cheat on Hayden? He had no shame.

“Joseph, my older brother said he wants to enjoy drinking with you. He hasn’t seen you in days.” Addison snuggled up next to Joseph and her tone was intimate.

Joseph, however, was a bit distracted. Not long after entering the lobby, he saw Hayden and Cleveland standing next to each other. His footsteps stopped instantly and he frowned.

Following the direction of Joseph’s gaze, Addison also saw the scene. She revealed a puzzled look. “Isn’t that Hayden, how did my older brother and her…?”.

Mid-sentence, she suddenly smiled, “To be frank, Miss Downey is the kind of woman my older brother would like.”

“Isn’t your older brother married?”. Joseph’s voice sounded beside her and his tone was one of obvious displeasure.

“Don’t you know?” Addison looked up at him, “My sister-in-law went to the U.S. after giving birth to my niece. They divorced five years ago, but kept it a secret. Even my parents found out recently and also urged my older brother to look for another partner.”

Joseph frowned even more. Seeing Cleveland next to Hayden talking and laughing, his heart suddenly had a huge burden that made him suffocate.

He thought that after leaving for a week to take a break, she wouldn’t be angry anymore, but he really didn’t expect her to be so capable of finding someone else in the blink of an eye. Seeing the look on her face, she surprisingly didn’t even care about the previous matter and, on the contrary, was very happy….

“Joseph, my second oldest brother is here.” Addison’s reminiscent voice sounded behind him.

“I have something to do, let’s talk about it later.”

Joseph stuck out his hand and directly walked away, leaving Addison behind.

Looking in the direction he went, Addison bit her lips and her eyes darkened.

After taking a few steps, Joseph was stopped by a figure emerging from the crowd. It was Addison’s mother.

“Joseph, you’re here at last, my husband has been waiting for you for a long time.”

“…”.

The word ‘Joseph’ sounded not far away. Hayden unconsciously looked in the direction where the voice came from, where he saw that an elegant and attractive woman was talking to Joseph. She was very intimate and passionate.

Simultaneously, Cleveland’s voice without fluctuation sounded next to him.

“It’s my mother. By the way, you may not know this yet. My mother and Joseph are very close, they’re basically as close as a mother and son.”

Hayden’s smile gradually froze and stiffened.
